While we’re searching for the parking lot,the boy who took care of the shop called us to park the car in front of their shop and said “Park here is ok”.He want us to eat something there but since we just finished our meal so we didn’t eat anything only buy some drinks from him and went to the castle. After we finished our visit and back to the car, this boy requested us to pay for the parking ( 2JD) and act like threaten us.We(only women) paid with no choice, but just when the boy left ,his friend came to us and said this is free parking. Such a bad experience! Be careful if you want to left your car here.

Scam artists. When people are driving towards the castle car park, these guys call you over and offer you a "free" parking space. Later as you try to leave, if you don't eat in their restaurant (where previous reviews suggest the food is bad and expensive), they try to force you to pay for parking. Street parking appeared to be free everywhere in the area, so we said we would go to ask the police who were just around the corner and the guys backed off and said we could leave. Clearly a scam to make money off of tourists.

AVOID this fraudster! We tried to park on the parking lot (which is public and not their property) on the other side of the street. The owner came over and first we thought we have to leave if we do not want to eat something. But he told us: " It is ok, you can park here! " He also offered us to consume something, but we denied, and went to the castle. When we came back from the castle, he asked us again to buy something. We still said no. Now he wasn't friendly anymore, but demanded 2JD for the parking (in a public lot!). He was surely aware that it wasn't legitimate, so he tried to get at least 1JD. We just left, but as you can see in other reviews, this is his regular ploy.

Very small portion, super expensive for what you get and compared to other restaurants in the area, food wasn't good at all and the bill was only shown on phone and we were still charged for (non-existing) service charge and tax which clearly the owner will keep for himself. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Complete tourist scam.

Simply avoid this place. Overrated and small portion. We paid 22 JOD for a terrible food. This was the worse experience in Jordan.

The worst stop in a week in Jordan, but hungry after visited the castle. Smiles aren't enough! Not tasty food (ex: hummus liquid cream with a lot of water), dirty menu, dirty inside, small tables, waiters try to sell to tourists the near parking spots. Expensive, like all tourist areas in Jordan. A rip-off, because we were in hurry.

Very dry Mansaf. Falafal was OK. They charge more because of the location, which is not a shame, but the quality of the food and the seats etc. cannot be compared to many other places we visited.

Stay away. Tourist trap 100%. High prices, bad food quality and smallest portions we had in Jordan. They also charge extra for service. Dont go

Tourist trap. It was not that bad and it was enough for everybody. But it was meaby because our guides had an arrangement with them. On your own better choice something else.

Friendly service, parking space included, good and tasty food at a very good (low!) price. Mains at 5 Dinar, Huommus at 2 Dinar. We recommend it and would always come again!

Great falafel sandwich with eggplant and potato. Really fresh salad/tabouleh. A little pricier than some places, but let us park for free in front while we went to Karak Castle. Coffee wasn’t great. Watch out for a slight overcharge and for a $4 credit card charge.

Absolutely terrible. Avoid at all costs. Overpriced (kebab 6 jd). Worst experience in a week in Jordan. We ordered some hummus to share because we had already eaten lunch and just wanted a snack and the boy managing the place started being aggressive and looked as if he wanted to kick us out. He also charged a whole dinar extra because of "10% service tax", which when applied to the 2 jd hummus should result in 2.20jd, not 3jd. Didn't want to argue further.

We stayed at this place for a cup of coffee and some sweets. The beferage was rather good and we ordered mint tea as well. The price is low and the quality was good. Very friendly service and the host who told us about the life of the Royal family. He turned out to have studies at the engineering institutes in Leningrad, Russia and after graduation returned to his home country. Was very nice to stay and have a rest at this place. Strongly recommend :)
