One of the best vegetarian hotel in Trivandrum with South Indian taste.  Breakfast, lunch and dinner available here. They serve idly, dosa, masala dosa, uppmaa, pongal, poori , chappathi, vada and meals. They sell variety of tasty sweets also. Location : Just opposite to Secretariate. Parking : no specified parking area. Ambience : Typical south Indian veg restuarant with the smell of sandal incense stick.

Tamilian Vegetarian restaurant right opposite to Secretariat. A/c and Non-ac options are available. Uzhunnu Vada /Medhuvada 👌 Waiting area is available if you dont find table. Main dinning hall looks spacious and has 13 tables spread across in 3 colums and every table can accomodate 4 persons each . Wash area is well mainaltained. Well-behaved staff. No designated parking area No wheel-chair accessible entrance.

The meals are just superb. As of traditional authentic taste which is enhanced by several curries. The quality of food is worth every penny you give. It's busy but doesn't affect the food quality or quantity. A must place to visit for pure vegetarians looking to find traditional tasty food comparing to those foods available now which depend on taste. The Place have all the vegetarian food items which include masala dosa, Ghee roast, Poori Masala, Meals, Vada and chatni etc.. The list goes on. Beyond words. That's all.

A Classic tamilnadu style vegetarian restaurant. Their chole bhature is my most favourite item on the menu and it fills you up like crazy. Crispy dosas are served with a hot spicy idly chutney which is 👌.

Super tasty veg food near to Trivandrum Secretariat

Lovely clean restaurant in central Trivandrum with very good service. The best masala dosa I've tasted. So good I ordered the rocket sized option. Yum. Highly recommended if you're in Trivandrum.

We went to eat at this restaurant for lunch on a weekend. We ordered the vegetarian meals. The food was filling. The avial and the koottu curry ( made of raw bananas and black chana dal in a coconut semi gravy) were really tasty and so was the pulisseri ( yoghurt based gravy with pate made from coconut , cumin , green chili and curry leaves). The other items i.e., the dal, the payasam and the rasam were average. The restaurant was busy and right now their AC rooms are closed ( which is a port especially considering the hot and humid climate in Trivandrum). There is no dedicated parking. Parking should be done roadside which is ok for scooters and bikes, but very difficult for cars.

This restaurant is a good choice if you enjoy vegetarian meals; Good customer service; unsure of parking facility; more convenient to park vehicles at night.

Can't say how perfect the food here was. The flavour, the texture , everything was perfect. What was best of all though was the service!!! The waiters are more like a family member eager and particular in feeding us with lots of love and care with the best items available. In food and quality, cleanliness, ambience this place is worth a visit and we can't stop at one visit is the thing. The food there is so tasty that it's hard not to go back for another bite of something there!

The place was very clean and well lit The most memorable thing was the customer service and one of my family member was not feeling well. Senior staff member noticed that and a brought her a lemon tea . It made her feel better. This is called as customer service. All of my family members I went back to the same last minute again multiple times after this.

A very good tasty south indian restaurant owned and managed by tamil people. We got much impressed by their hospitality. All the servers were very friendly and helped us with smiling faces. Nearby paid parking lot should be used. Food was very good in all aspects.

One of the decent veg restaurant in palayam.. quality of food was super... Restaurant is clean and hygienic.. Only problem i felt was , even if there are staffs standing without doing nothing they won't approach you to take order.. i don't know why... I had similar experience multiple times... Expect that, everything was fine

This is one of the landmark places in Trivandrum. It serves a very good variety of vegetarian options I love it for their dosas and other breakfast options. This place has been renovated over the years. The staff is friendly. Try it when you are around the statue area.

The price of food is really high. The staff are not cooperative.

The service was really good in spite of the rush. The food was delicious too.

This is the best everyday joint for local people like me. Food taste is consistent and the service is always with a smile. Invariably there is additional sambar and chutney served. Kids are given a lot of care. It's a family feel to go there every time.

A wonderful place for South Indian vegetarian food. Prompt service, clean premises. The staff very helpful & look after the patrons well. Portion size is sufficient. The idli especially is soft, fluffy & delicious. I was happy that they have begun serving idlis at all times as opposed to being served at breakfast time only. The masala dosa & chole with king size bhature is also yummy. Only disappointed that their fresh juice & sweet counter was shut down. It would be nice if they restarted it again.

In search of something special of South indian and on the basis of reviews of this restaurant, we visited in search of something spicy. But It's an average restaurant. First timer Visitors can ignore to visit. Typical regional dishes are available. Only for meals at reasonable price you can visit.

Best place I've been to in Thiruvananthapuram. I was looking for good vegetarian, south Indian food. I was disappointed in many restaurants here. Some places food was good but service was bad or place was dirty. This place has everything. Good food, service, atmosphere and even amenities. 10/10 recommend.

I went there for the first time yesterday. The restaurant was clean, staff were friendly. Ambience was nice. Food was very good, except for the curd salad in which the onions were bitter. Not worth mentioning, pointing out for the restaurant ppl to correct it for the next customer. In the whole, the experience was really nice. Had a really good meal.

Little expensive due to city center . Also if you order ghee roast (dosa) , there will be no ghee. 'it is coconut oil roast'. if you try you will feel it.

One of the oldest vegetarian restaurants in Trivandrum... Popular for masala dosa... But every dish in here would be a must try... Situated opposite to Government Secretariat, the restaurant could be easily accessible from main road... But, the headache would be the parking, as there is none... Ambience is not a big thing here... They have a sweet stall section also... Price range would be moderate I say or similar to other vegetarian restaurants in Trivandrum...

Been there a few times. The food was just okay. They served in pretty old plates and cups, which have already passed their fine days. Why I disliked them the most is because of the workers/staffs attitude. They were pretty inattentive and rude. I believe that food should be served with love. Or atleast with a smile. To conclude, I won't recommend some one I know to Arul Jyoti, Statue Junction.
