I gave it 5 stars because the place is very cozy and comfortable. But, the taste is so so. The price is a bit higher than the same dish in other outlets. And the portion of one bowl of mie ongklok original is so small. Went there because it's the nearest from the homestay I stayed in. If you're hungry order 2 portions.

I recently dined at Ongklong Dieng Restaurant in Dieng and was deeply disappointed. The food quality was unacceptable, with chewy lamb and dishes served lukewarm. Service was notably poor; our order was forgotten despite the restaurant being nearly empty. Additionally, the toilet facilities lacked basic hygiene amenities like soap. A glaring issue was the lamb curry, which shockingly included inedible lamb parts such as joints and, most disturbingly, eye tissue - an unacceptable ingredient not mentioned on the menu. The dish also contained excessive bones and minimal meat, compounded by an overuse of MSG. This was a regrettable dining experience, and I strongly advise others to avoid this establishment. A disappointing 1 out of 5 stars. I strongly advise against dining here, particularly for the eye tissue issue.

Good food with complete range of Dieng culinary specialties served here. Reasonable price but the portion is a little bit small, especially for the cold weather when you're hungry all the time :)

Grilled chicken is burnt. Cabbage not fresh and there's dirt on it. Kitchen is dirty. Staff smoke inside the kitchen. Food hygiene is a concern. Not recommended.

Mie ongklok is delicious, similar like those in Singapore or Malaysia called lor mee.

service is warm. but food taste is below average. the only food that barely pass to my standard is fried rice, rest is no for me. the drinks is too bland, too much water in it. talks about other facility, though parking lot is spacey in this area, it has bad surface, especially when its raining. toilet is not clean too. need some improvement
