I booked the Mt Batur sunrise trek and white water rafting from England before arriving to Bali. The email correspondence was always very good. On the day, our driver Gede picked us promptly from our villa, excellent driver and very informative about Bali generally. Our guide for the trek was Nick, who was also brilliant throughout, making us breakfast and hot drinks once we arrived at the top. It’s a tough climb but definitely worth the effort. The views from the top for sunrise were spectacular! Once back at base, Gede took us to the white water rafting part of the tour. Although not particularly challenging, the guide and backdrop to the rafting were superb! All in all a long and tiring day but one of the best days out ever. Can’t recommend the activity enough, as well as doing it through Bali Trekking Exploration! Thank you!

Amazing experience. Early wake up but awesome tour guides and views on the volcano. Very accommodating and want you to have a great time. Did the sunrise and hot springs tour... the coffee plantation was awesome as well! Hired our driver for the next day also. A must do in Bali!!

Having hiked in a few countries, my husband and I were initially sceptical of the need for a local guide up the mountain. However, when we met Armada, he was kind, pleasant and trustworthy. We immediately felt comfortable in his company. He knew the mountain like the back of his hand and doing a midnight trek in pitch darkness with someone experienced made a difference. Armada was patient and asked about our comfort level every time we scaled a steep slope. He even offered to help out with out bags which we kindly refused as we felt bad about it. When we reached the top, he made hot tea, eggs and a banana sandwich for us. It was a really special experience to reach the summit with a local guide as company. You feel like you learn more with someone who knows the terrain. I would highly recommend Armada! He is a true professional and a great guide. The trek to Mount Batur was amazing. Both on the summit and coming down, you get a spectacular view of Mount Agung, Abang and the lake. It was the highlight of our entire Bali trip and an unforgettable experience.

I had the BEST adventure hike with Bali Trekking Exploration today! Nik, was my guide and provided excellent service and great company while I explored Mt Batur. He was very knowledgeable of the area and well regarded by his fellow tour guides - many knew him and made the effort to catch up with him when we all met at the top. I thoroughly recommend the Mt Batur hike, and swim at the hot springs and ask for Nik as your guide!! An amazing experience on our Bali trip. The early wake up to trek Mt. Batur was worth it when reaching the top, the views were spectacular photos don’t do justice, you have to get up there and see for yourself. Our guide Didi and driver Gede were very informing and attentive to ensure we had the best experience. Thank you so much, we will recommend 100%.

My Girlfriend and I did the Mt. Batur trek and it was amazing. The view/experience from the top was priceless. Our driver and guide (Kuas) were both great and even went above and beyond when a tree fell in the road blocking everyone to make sure we were able to make it to the summit on time for the sunrise. Both were very helpful and attentive to any needs (water, rest, pictures, etc.) No trip to Bali would be complete without this trek, and I truly doubt there is any better group to get you there.

Our trek of Mount Batur was truly an experience of a lifetime. After much research, we booked with Bali Trekking Exploration and we were not disappointed. The hike was a challenge for me but our tour guide Kuas was very patient, helpful and encouraging. He speaks good English and he would offer information about the volcano (perhaps to distract us from the tiring trek). When we reached the peak, he took lots of really good photos of me and my friend (InstaPerfect!) He knew where the good spots were. He also showed us the steam vents which were very fascinating.

My experience with Bali trekking exploration was fantastic. The Mt Batur hike was excellent and the guide Subagia was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable and I would recommend using a guide to help you with the hike. Our driver Bayu was also exceptional. He provided seamless transport but also helped us negotiate each of the activities we did that with ease. Everyone seemed to know him and it allowed us to engage in the activities easily without any anxieties or delays. 100% recommend this company.
