Servers appointed here don’t even know to read their own menu. They were not aware of any details of the dishes - all they do is asking customers to select from Menu card. Junior Kuppanna restaurant was known for their well authentic servers who knows which dishes is best during which time. Total let down from Velachery branch by deploying servers who doesn’t have any knowledge on food/dishes. Non-Veg Lunch - Very Average meal. Rs.170/ is total loot. Pallipalayam Chicken - Had only coconut and lot of bones in every small chicken piece they serve. Rs. 310/- waste of money. Mutton Kola Urundai - Not even cooked properly. Was Raw. Naattu Kozhi Gravy - Very pathetic and worse tasted dish. It was like rotten taste. Chicken Biryani - Just a readymade Masala rice. No taste - taste was close to eating chilli rice. Chicken provided in biryani is chewy and not fresh. Overall Pathetic service and Food also lost its authenticity. Very expensive and total WASTE !!!

Food was great. We ordered attu kaal soup, mutton biriyani. The mutton was soft and cooked well in both dishes. One of the best attu kaal soup. Portion size was also good. The service is excellent. Thanks to Agnis, our waitress, for providing a great experience. She personally made us lemon juice herself when we asked her even though it was not on the menu. We went on a Saturday evening and though there were >10 families(full family crowd), it didn't feel crowded which gave a pleasant experience. Will definitely visit again.

Today we went for dinner and had very bad experience. The restaurant is very unhygienic and we found a worm in the chicken gravy.. The restaurant person is accepting their fault which clearly tells the food quality is not good. And still they are keen in getting the bill amount but we didnt paid it. Please be aware about this. The food we are giving to kids and we have to keep distance from these kind of restaurant.. To The restaurant ppl, We are trusting you and you should have some responsible while preparing food.

Visited with Family, My family loved the food, As people know about Junior Kuppanna, taste is unique and awesome. She tried Mutton Chukka, Chicken leg pc, Mutton Biryani and Parotta. Parotta is soooooo good, Biryani and Parotta is must try.Flavour of the Biryani was on her fingers for entire day. Thank you for the lovely food experience

Had been to Junior Kuppana after 4 long years. The last time when i went it was near on the road from Perungudi to Velachery. Looks like it has got a major makeover. It is multi storey right now with bike and car parking in the ground floor. The interior looks neat, bright and fresh. Had ordered Chicken biriyani, mutton biriyani, Mutton soup, Mutton chukka, Nethili fry and Payasam. The biriyanis were good and were enough for one person who eats a lot. However, i felt the taste could have been better. The mutton leg soup was great. Nethili fry was very soft and crispy. The mutton chukka was made with so much fried onions so it tasted very nice. The payasam was the disappointment. Instead of giving us full bowl, the waiter gave us quarter bowl claiming that thats much only is left. We didnt have it and he didnt charge it. Other than that the experience was good.

Good ambience.. we ordered Briyani, Prawn fry, Chicken dry items. Briyani was yummy!! other dishes were Average. Waiting time was very less.. Staff named Dildar was very polite and professional on the service🙌 Overall i will give 4/5.

I have been there to the restaurant for lunch today. We had non veg meals and biriyani. Non veg meals was good but the biryani taste was not up to the expectation. Ambience and service was good. The hotel was also nicely maintained. Overall it's a good experience and people can give it a try when you are in and around Velachery area.

One of the worst place to dine in chennai no variety of foods available after 9:30pm. The service quality is not very hospitable. Lack of order attenders I personally felt not to come here on your birthdays one of the overrated franchise ever

The service provided was excellent. The food was nice. Mutton Biriyani is a must try here. Completed the Dinner with Paneer Soda.

They served parota which was smelling oily. They took a picture of it and said feedback will be shared but assured it was freshly made...but later we came to know that it was contaminated and as a result whole family was affected and hospitalized for 5 days. My wife raised a concern to the manager but he arrogantly denied to take ownership of the issue. The way he spoke was completely unprofessional. Zero maturity to handle the issue.

This card placed at dining table but when I ordered the combo they refuse to serve saying this offer is only available for take away, then we ordered for take away but still they refuse saying it's not yet started.

One of the best restaurant providing a quality food has started to fade away with worst food quality. If you ever want to eat a day or two old cooked food, please visit Junior Kuppanna Velachery 100 Ft. Road branch. I personally do not write a negative post, but this was a worst experience of all the time.

Food was okay(ish). But the quantity is very less and I had to wait for long time for each food to come. Even though mosquitoes are common in Chennai I’ve never seen mosquitoes inside restaurants like this one Need to work more on hygiene

Priyanka was the person who served the food and was very nice and sweet. Must try is Nool Barotha and kongu chicken.

Worst dinner experience with JK Velachery branch. - Lack of food quality & quantity. - Pathetic cook & servers even they didn't know how to prepare kal dosa. - Server doesn't know the special dishes in JK. - Lack of knowledge in cooking - No time consiousness. Waited 50minutes to taken the normal parotta. - After we had a worst experience with JK,. I have cancelled my remaining order and went down to had a dinner in near road shop hotel which had a good unique taste. - They cheated in menu card which really wouldn't bring the taste of it. -. Just an immature branch. Taken photo is sample of nool parotta, the server said that we can't bring into nool shape so apologize us. Some bits I will share with you in menu which really not served in basics. No chicken in kottu parotta is called chicken kotu parotta No small onion in dosa is called chinna vengaya dosa. Cook didn't know how to make a masala omelette even I have waited 1hr. I would like to highlight that only 4 table was occupied even though they struggled to prepare and serve each table.

Today I visited this place at 3pm. When we entered the restaurant it smelled very bad. Half of the table was not cleaned so it was dirty. When we told the restaurant people they didn't even care to listen to us. We didn't expect this kind of behaviour from junior kuppanna.

Had worst experience today. Order briyani as that was available when I visited the place. They served me hot briyani and ice cold raitha. When asked about why raitha is cold, they replied that the curd used for preparing raitha was taken directly from the freezer. They took the raitha and left without any further explanation and never came back. No regret or apology or another alternative for serving the sides. How can someone eat hot briyani with ice cold raitha.

Food was nice. Taste wise good mutton biryani must try. Parking available atmosphere very good

Not Recommended Ordered egg kothu parota and omlet, both are very worst quality. It was served with black color steel pieces which forms on the dosa pan after years of usage. It seems like they are not maintaining their kitchen and accessories clean. Overall very bad experience 👎

Went for a dine-in but since no table was free ordered for a take-away. Extremely slow service....saw 3 Swiggy guys coming many minutes after me and collecting their orders, while I was made to wait for 30 mins. By that time half the hotel was empty ...yet my order was not ready. After much follow up and many promises of "just 2 mins more" ....was I able to get my order with many "Sorry sir, it won't happen again". Never again here!

Nice atmosphere. Plenty of space. Not that rush. if you want to have quick dinner without much waiting, this place is good. Food is ok. i won't say that great, but ok. Not much variety available. Their mutton biriyani is very nice, different taste. i'll say it as much try in this hotel. But chicken biriyani is not that great, not sure because of dinner it is not good? other than Biryani, not much option available. for Biryani lovers, this hotel will be good. Good parking space available in the basement. Can park both two wheeler and four wheeler. Overall ambience is good and mutton biriyani is good. not crowded. you can eat very patiently.

The place is well maintained and well patronized. The food took some time to be delivered, as the place was crowded. The food was tasty and piping hot. Egg kothu parotta was awesome. The small Pepsi bottles they serve are cute and go well with the food! Good place for a family to eat together.
