A
memorable
experience
This
was
my
very
first
trek,
and
I'm
glad
I
chose
GoKotagiri.
Saravanan,
while
being
an
extremely knowledgeable
trek
leader,
was
also
the
most
kind
person.
I
struggled so
much
to
do
the
trek,
but
he
was
super
helpful,
and
ensured
that
I
got
to
experience
the
challenges,
and
stuck
through
until
the
very
end.
He
is
very
passionate
about
what
he
does
and
the
enthusiasm
rubs
off
on
you
within
a
short
span
of
time.
While
we
were
there,
I
also
got
to
see
how
some
other
groups
were
being
lead
on
the
same
path.
And
those
were
not
very
safe
as
the
person
in
charge
was
nowhere
to
be
seen.
Whereas,
GoKotagiri
groups
are
small,
and
even
when
big,
they
have
enough
guides
to
take
care
of
the
entire
group.
Saravanan,
having
grown
up
in
the
region,
knew
a
lot
about
the
local
flora
and
fauna,
lifestyles
of
the
people
there
and
some
beautiful
spots
to
chill.
Our
destination was
a
little
waterfall,
which
a
lot
of
tourist
guides
did
not
even
know
about.
I
would
trust
Saravanan
blindly
and
follow
his
directions
if
I
had
the
chance
to
do
another
trek
with
him.
It
was
a
very
emotional
experience
for me.
From
never wanting
to
do
a trek
again
in the first
hour,
I
went
to
wanting
to
do
more,
after
finishing
the
trek.
I'll
never
forget
this
beautiful
experience.
I
was
traveling
solo,
and
met
other
solo
travellers
and
made
good
friends
on
this
trek.
The
charges
were
also
extremely
reasonable
and are
nothing
compared
to
the
memories
the
group
provides.
