Place is very nice and we enjoyed the nature with 360 degree view of hills. Water fall is very near and it is visible from the property, we really enjoyed the scenic view of nature at it's best. Staying was perfect with nice Bona fire facility. Having water fall in front of the Homestay is very beautiful. Liked this place like a heaven. Really worth staying here. Cost is very nominal for that place, nice food with authentic touch. We could see Bison and deer near the stay and it is awesome.

An insanely good place, away from the city, amidst tea plantations. Perfect for a weekend getaway with friends/family. The caretaker at the property was very helpful and energetic and was ready to provide whatever we needed. Overall, 5 stars for the good hospitality and stay.

Place is a British bungalow with lot of room space and they kept the place as natural as antique, Travel geeks and Nature lovers must stay in this place to enjoy the authenticity. We saw wild life around the property like Bison and deer. This place is one of the best I had ever saw, 360 degree view around the property and you stay in peak point of the hill. We can reach waterfall which is within 500 meters. Staying was amazing and hospitality was good. Food is very authentic and rooms are very spacious with hot water facility. Totally best for the cost in OOTY. Definitely willing to visit once again.

To anyone who is reading this review to know my experience of spending time in Cascade Meadows let me sum up it in a few words... HORRIBLE, DISGUSTING, TERRIBLE, MISERABLE, HUMILIATING, TOTAL RIP-OFF and whatever words you want to use to describe such a disgusting place and irresponsible employees. I've never had such a terrible experience ever in my life. This is not the first time we are booking rooms in a hotel. But this is the first time that we are having such a terrible experience. Since it is the tourist season, we wanted to avoid any fuss and last minute confusions. We booked two rooms and paid in advance. We wanted two separate rooms since we were a group of three, including me, my husband and his friend. My husband called the staff to make sure that the rooms are available. And he informed them that we were on our way. We reached the place by almost 7 pm (September 30, 2023). But when we reached there the caretaker told us that there was some 'confusion' and there is only one room available. We didn't understand how is that even possible after booking two rooms and paying for it already. Then he told us that they've allotted one room to another group of travellers. We called the owner to clarify this 'confusion' and he was acting innocent. Then he asked my husband to cancel the booking in MakeMyTrip trip to get a refund. But we didn't agree since no online site would do a refund after a particular day of booking. Then he offered us to arrange two rooms in a house which is almost 1 or something km away from his property for 6000 rs. We didn't want to take a room in an unknown place but still we asked him to send photos of those rooms. But instead of photos, he sent the location and a voice message to the caretaker. He foolishly played it publicly. The owner was asking him to get rid of us saying AVANKAKK ETHAVATH SAPPADU KEEPPADU ETHAVATH KODUTHU VIDU. It was so HUMILIATING. It was as if we don't have anything to eat in our house and one day we woke up and decided to book two rooms in his hotel for 7188 rs, since the owner is so kind to give us some food. This is the first time that anyone humiliating us after spending this much money on rooms. Even after causing all these inconveniences the owner was nowhere to be seen. We had to call him several times and he was doing nothing to sort the situation. It was clear that they were trying to loot us by alloting our room to another group of travellers and we're trying to deny us a refund saying technical difficulties. Then I had to ask the caretaker sternly to show us the photos of those rooms. Then the caretaker miraculously arranged two rooms. I have no idea how he did that after making this scene. He didn't even ask us for our ID cards. While checking in I specifically asked him to clean the room and change the sheets and blanket by the time we come back after having food. Then we went to the town to have food. After reaching the room, I checked the blankets only to find out a spider under it. Then I thoroughly checked the bedsheet and saw a lot of bugs and insects on it. It was evident that they haven't changed the sheets and pillow covers in a long time. Then we called the caretaker again to change it. Also the rooms and bathroom were not clean. I can't even think of the washbasin. It was horribly disgusting. We had to put up with it even after spending a hell of an amount on those rooms. We left the room early next morning since we were all fed-up with whatever has happened the night before. Thanks for ruining our trip. I would NEVER RECOMMEND anyone this place unless they are looking for a TOTAL RIP-OFF.

Date of Visit: 14th, 15th May 2022 (2 nights) Type of stay: Group of Friends The place is located at the hill top with good sit out area inside the property. We can eat, talk, rest, and enjoy the view while sitting under the hut which is located outside the property. We brought our own speaker to listen to music during our stay, and there were plug points for our Bluetooth speaker. We ate outside the property while listening to music. The dinner was delicious and had a home-cooked feel to it. I contacted the owner (Abinandhan) directly and made a reservation for our stay. He offered us a very reasonable price, which we accepted. We have three caretakers who look after our food and other belongings. He assisted us in purchasing additional snacks and food from the store (Market place). there is a small waterfall in 1.5kms from the back side of the property but we didn't get a chance to enjoy it. Overall, we had a great time for two days in this property with no problems. Thanks a lot to Care takers and Abinandhan (Owner). Planning to visit this property again with my family.

Considering the rush on a long weekend, we decided to book in advance with full payment and when on the day of check in we were about to inform our confirmation of visiting the property, they were saying the rooms are full and we will arrange for you near the property. After few calls, they arranged two rooms in the property itself. But upon reaching there, one of the rooms were allotted to others who came in excess of the booked count. All these were done by the owner and when we reached out to him, he just treated us like as if we came there for spot booking. Even informed the caretaker to give us dinner and take us away from there to some other property which till now he didn share the photos or details of it. Because of this, we had to take care of the caretaker's helplessness. After arranging the rooms at the same property, we informed the caretaker to clean the sheets and room once we reach back after the dinner from outside. He had ample time to do all the chores but he decided to stop it halfway. Then we made them to do it properly under our supervision. The only good thing about this place is that the atmosphere and ambience. The rooms are old not the vintage feel but old for real. Atleast they could have maintained it properly. For the price, even in the off-season it is highly overrated. One room didn't have chairs or tables and sheets weren't clean. They were kind of short too. Pure negligence and worst customer service. The property needs to proper maintenance for the price they charge.

Me and my friends visited cascade Medows Kotagiri - stayed for 2days. Pros : 1. Kani the helper in the resort is so kind., he served us delicious food with smiling face. 2. Location is awesome - promising hill view 3. If ur lucky u can see Bison during the early morning walk 4. Camp fire and shack 5. Rooms are clean & have hot heater. 6. No name board or direction board to guide you - it is located right behind the tea factory 7. Small water fall available at a walkable distance Cons: 1. No network inside the rooms - once you step out u can have signal. (This is a con bcoz no Wi-Fi facility) 2. Kettle for drinking hot water(cannot disturb someone for hot water in the middle of night) General note: Carry a reusable bottle (plastic bottle is not allowed) For Varkey - go to crown bakery Conoor or bill brownie at kothagiri

Best place for a group of people to enjoy this beautiful place. The power and network is good for such kind of places. It's remotely inside and can enjoy a scenic waterfall

I love this place because its a calm location and great atmosphere. This is my 7th time visiting this place. Food was good, but can be improved. Need to improve on hospitality. Kani was an excellent care taker, but he need more support from owner interms of technical support. Nowadays people will only look for the comfort. Rise to the occasion.

Very good place with an amazing view from all around this resort. We went as group of riders from Bangalore and had an amazing time. Lot of place nearby to explore. Advice to the owner is please improve the overall maintenance of resort and it’s gonna be the best resort at Kotagiri. You got a wonderful location so use it wisely.

REQUESTING EVERYONE TO READ ALL NEGATIVE REVIEWS BEFORE BOOKING! The owner of this place - Mr. Abhinandan - is a nightmare to deal with! We made a booking on Make My Trip, drove about 8 hours from Bangalore, and called him for directions when we were 5 minutes away. He told us to go back and didn’t give us directions! (Reiterating that we had a VALID booking.) He spoke very rudely, hung up and said we are not allowed into the property. His behaviour was unacceptable and you’ll find a lot of negative reviews about him. Don’t miss reading them. The property might have a great view, but what’s the point if the owner and experience is so terrible?? I won’t be surprised if he reverts here and blames me as he clearly doesn’t take ownership for any of the negative reviews. Luckily we found a nice cottage just down the hill from Cascade Meadows - called FUSCHIA - recommending people to try that instead. The staff is super sweet and the cottages are a lot more immersive with nature :)

Rooms are very big. Entire property has three houses of 3 bedrooms. Basic amenities are provided like water n electricity. For the prices, they couldn't even have hand wash in washrooms. Very old building, no renovation done. There are servant quarters and they help in cooking food. They are very innocent and very helpful. Gave tea and good food. You can order different food items and they prepare for you. Very beautiful loaction but 30 kms from actual Ooty city. If you want to explore tea estates n beautiful nature around, you can. Can watch Sunrise and sunset beautifully from the place. Parking for two vehicles is available. Many flower n big trees are sourrounded. It is not safe to roam outside in the night as wild animals roam after 10 n not recommended before 6 am. Also, there is a waterfall close by n can hear the sound of the falls from the back door. But couldn't go as the caretakers told us that the area is full of leaches and not recommended. Dining area is huge but not clean or tidy. Spider webs all over.. Not properly maintained. Average bedding. No showergel, no shampoo n no towels r provided as mentioned in booking. com. No handwash either. Hot water tap doesn't work at all. To fill a bucket, it takes min of an hour. Caretakers speak Tamil a lot n Malayalam. But very lil they understand other languages. Owner is in Bangalore it seems. Speaks over phone and looks like hardly he paid any visits from years. Small scorpions n other insects creep into the rooms. Be watchful. Overall, it is okay if you want to stay close to nature.

I certainly regret not reading the reviews before booking the stay, and kindly do not make the same mistake! Abhinandan is very capable enough in misleading people and making money with his cheap tricks. We happened to check the property on Airbnb for 10089 INR for three days including cleaning fees and service taxes and looking at the amenities provided by the stay in the Airbnb website, however decided to call and speak to the owner Abhinandan to confirm the booking in order to avoid a last minute cancellation. To which the owner suggested that instead of booking through Airbnb ( they receive less amount , 7000 INR , as a commission is charged by Airbnb) he shall give us a deal for 11000 INR, which includes tea/coffee two times, breakfast and dinner. Keeping in mind that he is not loosing money if booked through Airbnb, or any other travel website, and not really doing a favour on us! Also we informed him that we have a small pet travelling with us, and to provide the food for our dog, to which he said yes that won't be a problem. We happened to reach the stay on the 18th April noon, and in the evening the staff says there is no milk left for coffee. The dinner was pathetic, and the chicken had a stale smell. *The rooms are very old with cracked floors, the cupboards are smelly and has mites and insects in it. Do not keep your clothes inside the same to avoid termites and mites climbing onto to you. If kids ( any age) are travelling along, please ensure to put cotton in their ears while at stay, and at nights as there are huge insects inside the room and outdoors. The washroom is extremely dirty and stained. No toiletries, no hair dryer, no towels as mentioned in the website ( Abhinandan specifically asked us to carry our own towels). The sheets in the bed are stained. Please carry toilet seat spray and tissues to avoid UTI. * The rooms do not have a fall view and the garden area in front of the rooms are full of dog poop and not cleaned hence keep an eye while you walk in the front porch. Though the view from the porch is stunning, and the only good thing about the property. * The property is managed by only two people and the owner does not lives here, the cook is always drunk and has an alcohol smell oozing out of him all the time. Funnily enough when we needed more chapattis for dinner, and wanted to reheat my dog's food, the cook was sleeping and did'nt attend our calls ( 9.30pm). * As of today the 19th April, we decided to vacate the property and move to another one in Ooty as we clearly did not like the stay, and called Abhinandan to inform the same in the noon, to which he asked us to pay 7800 INR for two days as the discount was supposed to be for three days. ( He included the food and gave us a nominal amount so that he does not loses out money in commission and not in good sake) . It felt more of a penalty to us for leaving a day early because he charged us 3900 INR a day, where in any website shows the booking charges for a day as 3000 INR maximum along with the taxes, and this was a complete day light robbery. I am still trying to figure out on what basis we were charged 3900 INR per day. On top of that, the cook says he cannot provide food for our dog today as there is no chicken, and the eggs are rotten ( The cook served us bread omlett in the evening with the same rotten eggs and after 10 minutes inform us the eggs were rotten and he has thrown them away). Despite telling him in the noon itself that we need chicken in the dinner for our dog. Hence my dog sleeps hungry tonight. * The cook only provides you plates, you will have to ask for basics like spoons, bowls to eat. Also the cleaning charges the owner claims is a complete hoax, the rooms were not cleaned once during our stay, and the room is stinking as the cook did not clean the plates which we used last night. The food served also had hair in it, hence be cautious while you eat! Thanks and no regards for successfully ruining our stay!

Positive: Good hospitality, hygiene, experience the village atmosphere, mouthwatering food, flexy, good for nature lover, reasonable price. Don't expect: Luxury, TV Need improvement: Should keep the toiletries without asking which is basic. With my team of 11 members visited to this place from 3rd to 5th May 22. Good host, place is surrounded by the greenary and the tea estates, food is excellent, kitchen is flexible as per our requirements (with extra cost), accommodation is a treditional type of private homes with 2 or 3 spacious bedrooms and atached bathroom, 2 outdoor multi purpose seating area, one dining hall, spacious outdoor place where you can enjoy the breeeeze. oxide floor will give you village atmosphere. If you walk about 1.5 km you will have a small waterfall where you can enjoy with your family and friends, since this waterfall is at the private property you will not have any disturbance. The place is about 25km away from the Ooty. If you are nature lover you can bag the amazing experience. This place is suitable for group booking, not advisable for 2-3 members(you may get board), you will get campfire 🔥 with extra cost.

The owner of this place was EXTREMELY rude, please don’t ever visit this place. He didn’t even allow us to enter the property after having a booking, he didn’t have the common courtesy to come meet us and explain the situation in person, he refused to give us the correct directions and gave us the wrong directions to this place however we found it anyway. HORRIBLE customer service, the place is not even worth a visit. AVOID COMPLETELY. Guys name is Abhinanad or something. Requesting all visitors to read all the negative reviews. All of them talk badly about Abhinanad. He’s an absolutely terrible person.

Understaffed & over rated. For internal disputes between workers & owners of the property the guests are being treated poorly. The caretaker has the outright odasity to tell all the guests to give bad review of the place & it's even astonishing to see owner lacks control. Abhinandan, if you are so concerned about reviews you need to be at the property to take care of the guests or appoint someone who could do so on your behalf, guests doesn't deserve the attitude & poor negligence. I hope you understand that..

Cascade meadows, is perfect place for outing with friends . We 5 friends been ooty, stayed on hill top property , breath taking view from cascade meadows . Location is awesome this my second time visiting this property. Mr. Kani the care taker was kind and gentle in serving us . Overall i rate 4/5. If you are planning for ooty with your friends cascade is perfect place to party.

Such a beautiful location. The cottage rooms, food and service are all excellent. The best part is Robert who takecare of the guest extremely great. This place will take us to our nostalgic old days. Special thanks to the owner who talk to us and made our stay comfortable. I've been to ooty, coonor many times, but I've never felt so relaxed 😌 like this. Will visit again .

This was my 5th time to this place... again it's the same feeling. 1. Food : Homely food (typical south Indian). Even people from other states(Delhi)loved it thanks to Kani/Rajesh(caretaker) . 2. Location : no doubt this is the best place to be if you want to stay away from crowd and just chill 3. Rooms : beds and rooms are good as per the budget.
