Best 5-star value on a beautiful island with super friendly staff. You’d pay a fortune in other parts of Europe for what you get here. Every pool was awesome, plus the private beach access. Great for families. Big breakfast selection. Wish we could have stayed longer.

What a nice place! I really don’t know where to start and end but to sum it up heaven on earth. Everything in the hotel makes you feel relaxed and great. The people who work there are friendly in such a natural way, you don’t find that often. The food offer for breakfast and dinner is great. The variety of restaurants could not be better. The beach and pools are beautiful and clean thanks to the staff who is doing a great job! We will come again. For us it was more than 5 stars! Great job guys ♥️ We love Kos & Neptune 🇬🇷

Very nice hotel that met all of our expectations! It consists of one main building and many small buildings scattered through the area. We had a very nice room which was situated further away from the beach but still had sea view so that every evening we could admire beautiful sunsets. The hotel has four big pools and some small for children and a lot of places by the beach. It even has its own small chapel. Food was really tasty and authentic. A lot of traditional Greek dishes, fresh fish and salads. There was also live cooking station where fresh delicious pasta was being prepared. All of the people working there were extremely nice and helpful. We also loved the dancing video :)

Family with small kids. All in all was a good experience and very friendly personnel. The complete facility was very well maintained and clean. Food was okay at various restaurants but overpriced for what you gey. We did not like the main open buffet restaurant that much due to little variety. The beach was good and kids had a lot of fun but we stayed mostly in pools and had a great time. Kids Club offered a lot of play possibilities and own pool and playground, but we did not feel that we can rely on the Supervisors to keep close watch on our little kids. Housekeeping was great and managed all our requests pretty quick. Finally the check-in experience with a lot of unnecessary data to enter was tiresome. Also sending you messages to pay your bill because you exceeded 300€ is not okay management procedure. Thanks to the staff!

Waiting when you start. The food is amazing, the restaurants are amazing. The facility is number one if you got a family and kids go.

I will share my own experience with all interested people, who are seeking a luxury hotel in greece with best climate, service and sport facilities as like the Tennis-Hotel Neptun in Kos with Vasilis tennis teacher . We had really a great time at the Neptun luxury hotel in Kos. We enjoyed the delicious greece cuisine and had fun swimming, surfing, playing football, and working out at the gym. We had also a great time playing tennis with Vasilis, who is a very patient and enthusiastic tennis teacher. He showed me the right technique for forehand, backhand, and service and corrected every details in my already well-trained tennis play style. I felt me excellent and well-managed by him and also by all the workers in this sport club hotel, where I was greeted always with a great friendly smile every time when I met someone. However the greatest experience were the tennis meetings, exercises with Vasilis. Because he doesn't only do his job. He teaches you enthusiastic, correcting every elements im your movement till to fully perfection. That' s what I haven't found yet by other tennis teachers. The enthusiastic kind of teaching, so you can learn by him a perfect, modern tennis. Thanks Vasilis, thanks all of the staff. Regards. Thomas from Cologne, Germany

Room (Main building): (Attention package travelers!) The rooms in the main building do not meet the standards of a 5-star hotel. Additionally, they can be noisy due to the presence of a bar near the main building (Number 7 on the map) that stays open until 1 am. It's perplexing as to who thought this was a good decision, as the noise from the bar patrons and chair movements can be heard in your room even with the windows closed! Furthermore, the hotel hosts congresses, so expect noisy events at the main pool, which you can witness firsthand from your balcony (unless, of course, your room is on the street side, where you'll be entertained by noisy buses throughout the day). In summary, the "Standard double room" is not suitable. Room (away from main building): The rooms away from the main building are very nice. Service: The service is excellent on all levels, from reception to waiters, housekeeping, and lifeguards at the pools. Food: We only had breakfast, which was good. Restaurants on the premises: - Asia: Very good. - Italian: Just "OK." Only go there as a last resort. The bread they serve as a starter tastes like discount "Aufbackbrötchen" and is unworthy. Every dish we tried lacked spices, making the food boring and bland. Pools: One point I cannot stress enough is that all pools except the main pool are quiet. There is no music or entertainment, which is an excellent choice! Beach: The beach has many stones and unattractive wave breakers. Unfortunately, this is beyond the control of the hotel. Nitpicks: - Jacuzzi: The water was cold instead of hot. - Twin bed: There was a gap between the mattresses, which I have never seen before.

Prices are a rip-off and there is really nothing luxury here. It is very simple: It does NOT deserve five stars. The only positive aspect is that the personell is very friendly and helpful. The management seems definitely to rip-off the guests.

The hotel and facilities were very good with lots of restaurants and nice public spaces. The resort is huge with 15 min walking times to the parking, and the beach depending where you are staying. The beach is ok - has a lot of waves and seaweed and not the best beach in Kos. The hotel's sheer size, makes it impossible for the stuff, particularly the reception staff to provide a personalised service so our experience was being largely anonymous in a large hotel which felt very commoditised (including 3.5 Euros for a bottle of water at the beach bar and extra charges to use the beach gazebos!). From a customer service point of view, we were personally very disappointed the hotel did not show a gesture of goodwill (although they were not legally/theoretically obliged to) to help us overcome our travel ordeal of a 27 (rather than 3.5) hour journey to get to KOS due to our flight being cancelled. Despite politely asking the hotel, for extending our stay for 1 night with a small/no charge, given we paid for the first night on a non-refundable price, which we lost due to our flight being cancelled, they did not oblige They also insisted and charged us 50 euro for a late check-out on the last day which was a fraction of what we paid overall and given the hotel's size, us checking out late made zero difference to them. I fully recognise the hotel was not obliged to do anything given the non-refundable fee we booked, but it is such gestures of goodwill that build up customer loyalty. Our late arrival was out of our control and we would not be compensated by our airline for the night we lost. The hotel staff not being understanding or accommodating made our ordeal worse. We therefore did not receive the outstanding customer service we received at other hotels or by the local KOS people. I would say the room was also a 4 star rather than a 5 star - no premium coffee machine, just an old kettle, and a leaking (despite very modern) wetroom which meant the bathroom/toilet area got messy each time we showered. We had to ask for a conditioner too, and the hotel was initially hesitant, which was surprising for a "5" star. The bed was extremely comfortable , the pillows were very good and the breakfast was very rich and diverse. We would have returned in future, had we received the better customer service, but its corporate faceless nature means we will unfortunately not be returning.

This is a stunning resort with equally stunning vistas across the ocean. It has excellent facilities, along with lots going on for children and families. It even has numerous ‘adult only’ areas too, including an adults only pool which was welcome as we weren’t travelling with children. We received a very warm welcome from a very organised and efficient reception team, and our departure was handled equally as efficiently. The rest of the staff were just average. As a former hotelier it felt to me like they lacked enthusiasm and any true hospitality culture. A good General Manager could change this quickly. We had a luxury ocean view room and it was fantastic with a vast balcony, separate lounge and bedroom, huge bathroom which had a wonderful large shower! The hotel has a strange restaurant reservation system where guests have to report to a a given desk in the lobby at a specific time of day, and an even stranger restaurant dress code policy for the main buffet restaurant which doesn’t allow shorts or sliders, which seems odd for a beach resort. There are many food and drink outlets, and a more formal dress code could be understood in those, but we struggled to understand why such a policy existed in the lobby buffet?! All of the food we consumed was of very good quality and breakfast was extensive, however only drip coffee was available, instead of our preferred iced latte. Another observation is that they could have used modern tech much more, which instantly makes this place feel dated. I’ve rated 4 out of 5, but as mentioned above a few small changes could easily have made this place a 5.

The biggest cons would be the location and the food: The beach is UGLY - small (they say it shrunk a lot in the last few years) packed with seaweed, freezing murky waters, coarse sand and strong enough waves and wind to make it completely unappealing. Some areas also have plastic sand bags and pipes that make it look like a war zone. The adults-only pool, instead of being in the obvious location near the beach and Osteria restaurant, is far from the beach and hardly appealing. There aren’t enough parasols on the beach and next to the beachfront-pool for everybody (in high season at least) so good luck catching a place in the shade. Also since the hotel is in the middle of nowhere you are forced to relay on the pricy shops (16 euro for sunscreen??!!) and eateries in the premises unless you have a car. About the food: the breakfast is substandard and disappointing. The food and drinks are very expensive and the dishes we tried at the Umami and Taverna restaurants were a let down. The pros: Gorgeous hotel! If there was a prize for the best up-keeping of hotels in the world, Neptune should win. I mean - WOW, I’ve never seen more meticulous cleaning, gardening and design in such a large property. The management should be proud. The grounds are really beautiful and the pools are XXL and deep. You do have a gorgeous view of the sea from certain locations. The deluxe double room was newly renovated, spacious, comfortable beds, A/C cools very well (though doesn’t go below 20 c), great water pressure. WIFi coverage is fantastic even in the furthest corners of the hotel. The burger in the MEATing restaurant was amazing and I loved the frozen yogurt in the ice cream shop. We also got an early check in and a late check out for free (about two hours each way) which is very considerate (and thanks Fatma the receptionist for the help). Staff was great in general. My mother really enjoyed the paddle boarding lesson in the water sports center. Bottom line: Ugly beach and mediocre food, but lovely hotel, better suited for families. Tip: have dinner at the nearby Tam Tam restaurant (a few minutes walking on the beach): great price and quality.

Huge compound by the sea, well kept, squeaky clean, nice staff and the highest quality breakfast spread I have had in a very long time… The downturn for us was the sewage smell in the evenings and the murky sea due to high winds, so that we could not swim at all. We went to another part of the island and the water was calm & clear. So no fault of Neptune, still a deal breaker.

Hotel and especially the rooms are overdue for a renovation. Food at breakfast and dinner at the main restaurant is mediocre (quality and selection). You can go to the Tam Tam restaurant for lunch and dinner (8 min beach walk from hotel). Staff service level is quite mixed, from helpful to passive. Overall the hotel has 3 stars at maximum. Would not recommend/ come again.

Quite good buffet (breakfast, dinner - appropriate clothing required!) Drinks cost extra. Ouzo: 6 euro, Water 5 euro/ bottle. Good location with sandy beaches, and also large garden area where you can relax. Nice entertainment program daily.

Simply a wonderful hotel - beautiful gardens, friendly service, nice rooms in the bungalows, comfy beds, possibilities to do activities and most importantly: good food. The people here are always friendly in an authentic way which is really nice :-) also, the spacious area always gives you the possibility to get some peaceful privacy. After plenty of years staying in this hotel for summer vacation with my family I‘ve never got disappointed by anything that needs to be mentioned here. It’s always a pleasure being your guests. Thank you!

Very nice hotel overlooking the ocean and a narrow beach. Rooms are comfortable and well equipped and there is a large range of restaurants. The Asian is very good and the Italian as well. The less nice aspects are the hurry to close buffets (ten minutes ahead the schedule they are empty..), the fact that the Italian restaurant only accepts guests from certain categories of rooms. In our group, five out six were entitled to eat there and they didn't allow the sixth to join us, even paying an extra cost!!! At least in August, it's difficult to find a deck chair in the pools or in the beach as some guests "reserve" their places with towels for the whole day, even in the end, they don't came...

We have ten days of vacation at the Neptune Resort behind us and have to say: everything was great. The journey from the airport by bus only took about 25 minutes, check-in was uncomplicated, the room with a sea view was sensational (the sunset!) and the complex with the great plants and the numerous pools is spacious and well-kept. Since we have a very serious food intolerance in the family, it was of course very important to us that the kitchen and the service knew about it and acted accordingly. If you could give it ten out of ten, we would give it ten. The communication between service and chef went smoothly, everything was perfect. Breakfast and dinner were prepared separately and brought to the table, so there was no need to try your luck at the buffet... A big thank you again to the team! We will be back.

The breakfast was amazing! The pools and the beach (wavy) are wonderful as well we lived in 2 different rooms but those did not look like in the pictures. If you want to go around you need to have a car or motorbike there is nothing around really. .

Very good value for the hotel, the food, and the infrastructure. Staff in general are really kind and helpful. Will definitely choose this one again if I come back. only one thing I don’t find satisfying is that: the manager at main restaurant was snobbish. Didn’t really treat everyone the same. That’s a shame.

  • 5/5 K S. 1 year ago on Google
Heaven on earth! Worth every penny you spent. Hotel is outstanding, great infrastructure. Great beaches, bars, restaurants. I wish there would be more places like this in Greece! Great for holidays with kids, but also without them you will not regret coming to this place! 6stars place out of 5!
