Sri Raja Rajeswara Temple is one of the most famous Hindu temples in Telangana, dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is located in the town of Vemulawada, Telangana, India. Historically the region was the capital of the Vemulawada Chalukyas who ruled from 750 to 973 CE. This temple of Shiva in the form of Raja Rajeswara Swami is very famous in this part of the region. The presiding deity of the temple is Sri Raja Rajeswara Swamy who is locally popular as Rajanna who is adorned on both sides by the idol of Sri Raja Rajeswari Devi on the right side and to the left is the idol of Sri Laxmi Sahitha Siddi Vinayaka. Vemulawada Raja Rajeswara temple is situated 38 km from Karimnagar. This famous temple dedicated to Lord Rajarajeswara Swamy draws pilgrims in large numbers. Pilgrims have a divine bath in a holy tank called Dharma Gundam, before proceeding for darshan and these holy waters are believed to have medicinal properties. Every year at the time of Maha Sivarathri, devotees in large numbers flock to Vemulawada, to offer prayers to Lord Shiva. This temple also has a very special offering made by devotees called' Kode Mokku'. Kode Mokku is a ritual where the devotee makes the pradakshinam of the temple with a kode (bull) which is vahanam (Nandi) of Lord Shiva. Inside is a massive Siva Linga.

One of the famous Lord Shiva Temple Which is called as Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy Temple. one of the ancient and famous Shiva temples located in Telangana. Local people called Lord Shiva as Rajanna and the main idol of Shiva is Neela Lohitha Siva Lingam. And Devotees carry out the unique ritual of Kode Mokku, the tying of ox and taking around the temple. People believe that Lord Rajanna fulfills the wishes of devotees when devotees take the ox around the temple. After taking the ox around the temple, devotees hand over the ox to the temple authorities. It is believed that major income of Vemulawada temple comes from Kode Mokku. Newly married couples comes and go around the temple with ox. After Darshanam of Rajanna Temple people visits Baddi Pochamma Temple with Hence , Goats and Sheeps.

One of the most FAMOUS Lord Shiva (Rajanna) Temple in Vemulawada, Telangana. It is 180 Kms away from Hyderabad very crowded huge number of people come here in every season. Devotees believe that Lord Shiv fulfills his wishes of devotees by doing Kode Mokku, we felt blessed & very pleasent with temple atmosphere, After Darshanam of Rajanna Temple Must visit Baddi Pochamma Temple, and Sri Bheemeshwara Temple. Because of these places are so pleasant atmosphere and peaceful environment. & near by only. "Om namah shivaya"

The beauty of this place is there is a Darga inside the temple. Very famous for Lord Shiva and Godess Raja Rajeshwari Devi. You will also find temples of Lord Sri Rama Chandra, Anantha Padmanabha Swamy and a lot of other small temples. Place is very famous for farmers bringing their ox as an offering Pooja which is a ritual. It was very nice to see that, though I did not get exact details of ritual. One thing which I felt needs a whole lot of improvement is the way in which temple and its surroundings are maintained. Parking is a major issue. Cleanliness has to improve leaps and bounds. While I can say Govt or Temple Authorities have to be responsible, above all I feel we the pilgrims who visit should equally be responsible towards maintenance of such Devine places. This is my second visit to this temple after a gap of 4 years and I did not see anything change in its maintenance or surroundings. Hope next visit will be better, if I get to visit again 🤞

***** 2 Stars rating due to mismanagement & unhygienic conditions in and around the temple ***** Around 160+ kms from Hyderabad famously called as Dakshina Kasi or Rajanna Temple. Located in Rajanna Sircilla district of Telangana State. Main Temple is Dedicated to Lord Shiva, then the goddess Rajeswari and few other small temples inside for Lord Rama, Anjaneya Swamy, Anantha Padmanabha swamy etc. Along with Free darsanam, Special darsanam (₹100) and Kode Kattu (₹200) are also available. These have too many separate queue lines which could have been avoided. There is so much pushing & shoving in free darsanam queue lines. Whomsoever's wishes get fulfilled after praying to Rajanna, they come here again & do a Kodi Kattu (Taking Ox around the temple). After visiting this temple, you can also visit Bheemeswara Temple which is located nearby. Points for Improvement : 1. Queue Management is at its worst. 2. Temple Cleanliness & Maintenance 3. Sign Boards 4. Parking area to Temple entrance directions. 5. Avoid people bathing with soaps, washing their clothes etc in Dharmagundam (Temple Well). Looks like authorities really are not bothered about improving the divine experience of devotees as this temple maintenance seems to be very chaotic.

This is a very famous Shiva temple in Telangana. People of TG often visit this temple with family. The govt should have taken measures to maintain cleanliness within and around the temple. As the crowd is more you wouldn't find the place clean. Pilgrims need to be educated more to maintain the cleanliness. Also the rain water is stored below the temple building and it gives bad smell.

Worst management and maintanence ever. The officers are easily bribed. Free Darshan line is interrupted frequently and the officers make space for the so called vip's. There are people entering through emergency exits. Shame on staff... This is exactly what makes hinduism look bad. I feel very bad about this. The surroundings of the temple is not clean and tidy. There are tens of thousands of people visiting this temple every day. So the government has to acknowledge the hardships and answer the people by enlarging the roads and implement a proper system. Even the officers are rude to the devotees. What happened to "All are equal before God?" I know justice is not always served and not only good happens. But there is always a level and limit to what common people can sustain. This crossed all the limits and levels of ridiculousness. And nothing can be done as we were seeing corruption right before our eyes. Nobody raises voice. If they did they are silenced. I stood on line for 4 hours in free darshan. There is no service. No water to say the least. The water is provided at only one section in the whole temple. And even that is not clean, tidy and drinkable. Overal, Worst experience ever. If you want to have a nice experience in this temple, take ₹ 100.00/- ticket. I doubt even that is worth it. I wish all of the people who have encountered the same experience to raise their voice. Jai Hind.

One of the major lord shiva temples in South India. This is also known as Dakshin Kashi temple. Lord Shiva is named here as Raja Rajeswara Swamy. Must visit during Shivaratri times, very powerful temple from the ages. Must do things here: koda mokkulu for Swamy offerings - price is 200 INR, pooja near gundam is famous too and most interestingly there is a dharga right inside the temple. Bellam is considered as gold, and people keep offering generally here to be healthy and wealthy. Amazing temple and positive vibes are real. Still too far away from cleanliness, and modern facilities.

Worst queue system and management. There are number of queues with senseless purpose. I have been in the queue since four hours and the people who went after me got in to another queue and are out after darshanam. Management is sleeping I guess instead of managing the queues and maintaining the temple. The place is also dirty, maintenance is very bad. The people of temple are very rude and are not responding well. Government has to take care about this. Temple must be closed for few days and management must get the knowledge about temple management instead and then reopen with proper organised system. Worst experience with the queue system and management.

Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy Devasthanam Abode of Lord Eashwara – at Vemulawada village of Rajaanna Sirisilla District in Telangana State is one of the ancient and famous Shivate temples. The shrine deserves a special mention in terms of its architectural grandeur and spiritual sanctity and is one of the famous Shivate Temples in Telangana State. Existence of this shrine is lost in the mists of antiquity and even Puranas mention the existence of the Deity. The presiding Deity – Lord Raja Rajeshwara in the form of “Neela Lohitha Siva Lingam is known for his boundless benevolence in fulfilling the wishes of the devotees. This Shrine is popularly known as ‘Dakshina Kasi’and also as “Harihara Kshetram” for their being two Vaisnava Temples in main Temple complex i.e., Sri Anantha Padmanabha Swamy Temple & Sri Seetharama Chandra Swamy Temple and Sri Anantha Padmanabha Swamy is Kesthra Palaka of this Temple being consecrated with Pujas/ festive rituals [both Shivate & Vaisnavate festivals] and Sreerama Navami is the 2nd major festival in this temple. A Dargah within the precincts of the temple stands as an ample evidence for religious tolerance.

The centre point of North Telangana's devotion. Almost everybody visits this shivas temple, called Vemulawada Raja rajeshwara swamy. It has been developing but still needs more facilities and development from the govt. Lot of rush during shivaratri and manageable during other seasons. Kode mokku (offering and tying the younger ox to Shiva) is a special offering here. Neatness can be much better. Dharma gundam has cleaner water now and can be further developed. Drinking water and hand wash areas needs to be increased.

The temple maintenance was not upto the mark the koneru(pond) was very unhygienic and the workers in the temple were very rude towards the crowd so we went on Karthika masam so we liten up the Diyas but the workers didn't wait atleast till we complete our prayers and they were shouting at everyone, they were cleaning all the diyas with broom stick even before we don't with the prayers, there was a huge crowd so we stood in the line about 1hr but when we saw the lord the volunteers were pushing and not even giving time to see the lord. I suggest not to visit on public holidays.
