Nice place to enjoy with kids. Lots of rides. The canteen needs to be uplifted. Canteen should add more varieties of food. The train and other rides are worth trying for kids especially during the vacation days. The authorities should be more strict with the littering of waste by public after having food. The cost of rides are also reasonable.

It's such a wonderful park for kids at the center of city. But Elders are playing, there is no social responsibility not sure what they will be teaching their kids. Just to utilize and spoil what is provided at cheaper price ?

With very high expectations we visited cubbon park for the very first time, with prior checking of timings and places to visit. But without any notice the bal Bhavan was closed . Going back very disappointed. Hopefully they should start updating on their website to avoid such experiences .

Excellent place for a kid's day out. The Jawahar baala bhavan is located in the evergreen park of bangalore cubbon Park which makes it a perfect location for a picnic. They reopened this place after the pandemic this year and have renovated it well. Word of caution: the queue to the entrance is really long on Sundays so you may want to plan accordingly. The entry fee is 20/- for adults and free for kids below 10 years. The Putani express(toy train) is back in action for Rs 30 per head for adults and Rs 10 for kids. There is also a nice boating ride inside for the same rates as the train. The tickets for the train and boating ride has to be taken while taking the entry tickets. There are 3 more rides inside the baala bhavan :- dragon train ride, columbus and break dance. The tickets for these can be taken after entering the baala bhavan. The rates for these rides vary from 30-35 for adults. There are plenty of stalls selling ice creams, juice, milk shakes, popcorn, bhelpuris, corn, balloons, etc and even a canteen where you can grab a quick meal while inside the park. And of course there is a huge play area that the kids can play in as long as they want. There are good skating rings too!

Good place specially for kids. Toy train is enjoyable. Many other games like breakdance car, crawling train etc.. Entry ticket price 30 per person. For each game price also 30 per person. You can take cash for easy . They are taking cash inside for other games. Many playing activities are there for small kids. Overall good place to spent 2-3 hours with kids and family.

Good place to spend for a family with kids , children will enjoy . Ticketing will have queue , again you train you need to wait. Play area for kids, small boating . Lot of street eateries and a restaurant inside. Get inside to he right gate else you may meet to walk a lot. Enough parking space. Sometimes connecting roads will get crowded due to political meetings. Seems guards take bribe to jump the queue and get direct entry.

Could be maintained a lot better !!!! Crowd is not that huge as it appears, it is just that it is not managed well!!! Toy train ride is good but had to wait approximately for an hour to get the feel of it!!! Couldn't do the boat ride as it seemed overly crowded due to the lack of boats!!!!

Please note this park (Jawahar Bal bhavan) is currently closed due to Covid. As this is not mentioned clearly anywhere, I wasted my trip from Hibbal to this place. Security told us that it will be opened on 1st Jan 2021. Anyway Cubbon park is operational, so you can visit that place.

This is situated near Cubbon Park. Children's play area is maintained very well. All children of any age will like to play here for hours together. Toy train is a hit among kids. There are also plenty of paid entertainment for elder children like Tora Tora, Dragon Circle, high hanging see-saw etc. There is also a motor boat ride around the lake. Children's theatre is also there. Monday is a holiday. Timings are from10.30 a.m. to 06.00 p.m.

Every Monday closed. Timings are 10:30 am to 6:00 pm but you can still be in the park and take the rides till 6:30 or more. Guard will come and start telling you to leave around this time. Well personally, the park and the rides are ok and can be visited once. But I don't understand that they charge for each of the rides available inside, then why do they charge an entry fee of 20 rupees for everyone who is above the age of 10 years. And the condition of the rides and park is also not satisfactory. I am really concerned about the rides and train's condition from safety point of view. Park condition is also not satisfactory as you will find all the free swings and slides are spoiled or in bad shape. The park is very large and they are not concerned about the hygiene and cleanliness of it. I realised this while doing the train ride. You will find a lot of piles of garbages along the track of the train rides. You will also witness a pond/lake in the journey which is completely green in color due to algae which is stinking and urgently needs cleaning. Refer my photos shared on Google Maps. I really regret taking this ride after spending 30 rupees for train ticket and 20 rupees for an entry ticket. Also, you need to pay 5 rupees for using washroom as well. If maintained properly, this can be one of the beautiful parks in Bangalore.

Iconic children's park, at the heart of Bangalore. Parking is available outside for Rs. 80 for full day. Although after 11AM parking may get full. This is a cash only place. Adults Rs. 30 for entry and for each attraction, and Rs. 10 for every child. While the price is low, paying in cash is a huge negative. Their staff struggles in returning change. Whoever is the administrator here, needs to seriously accept digital payments. I know that they are a monopoly, and have a huge area, and demand is essentially endless. If they were more efficient, there won't be space to stand inside the park. But that is not an excuse to make it hard for people to enjoy the park. Use the funds to modernise properly as well. The equipment is practically ancient and a safety hazard. The other issue with the park is regular burning of dry leaves. This creates lots of smoke which children inhale. It is a huge negative and pure negligence on administration and allow this to happen. Happy to file a formal complaint as well, although I didn't fint any feedback box at the place. Would be happy to return may more times. But these two points will remain painful until corrected.

Why has the children's play area been closed for 2.5 years and not reopened even after all the other parks are open to Public? What is the point of having a children's park if it can't be accessible! Request the authorities to reopen it ASAP.

One of the major concern raised by many reviewers are solved to some extent. Yes, you xan pay by UPI for taking ticket. Really a great relief. Currently two counters are there one for cash and the other one for UPI payments. Inside the park, many attractions like aquarium, science park, etc. are still closed. Toy train ride is good but boating offers nothing to enjoy. Still, a good option for kids to spend two hours.

Nice place inside thr city for kids, kids can enjoy train, boating and many other rides. Staff is very humble and in weekends heavy crowd, but the staff is serving everyone. All official members are very good behavior, very kind. Maintaining the crowd is not easy, they are doing very best. Tickets and riding fares are good. Only 4 wheel parking is high 80 rupees they charge which is more than your amusement park charges.

They have train ride for Rs. 20 per adult and Rs. 10 per child. It's a 5 min cute train ride around the area. The area has several rides for kids like rocking boat, tiny roller coaster ride, disco dancer ride and massive kids play area. You can also buy pop corn, beverages. A skating ring can be also seen here.

Jawahar Bal Bhavan is only such place run by the government. It is recently got renovated from the pathetic situation. There are 4 rides which kids and adults will enjoy. There can be more rides and games, considering the number of people visiting here and large space available in the cubbon park. There is a play area with many play equipment like swing slide etc. Most of the need repair. Aquarium here is of sad state. It is a all place for a metro like Bangalore. Definitely need to improve.

Good place for a non-expensive outing. The train ride, the boating are about 2-4 minutes long. The other rides cost about 20-30 rupees per person. There are two eateries inside and a Nandini parlor. The play area is small. Nice place to chill and play for three-four hours.

It's a very good and economical place for an outing for both kids and adults. The place is maintained well but many places were closed inside without a board for a reason. Otherwise its a good place.

Very good park during weekdays but not during weekends. You will have to wait in queue for 1-2 hours to get inside during weekends. Other than that they have good rides like a toy train etc. Good park area to play like swing, sliding board etc. Separate park for specially disabled kids. Highly recommended to visit this place. Also vehicle parking is a pain during weekends. So recommended to go during weekdays.

  • 4/5 Dilip G. 6 months ago on Google â€ĸ 30 reviews
This is a kids place for joy. Adults too can enjoy. The main attraction is the toy train and the boat ride. You need to take the tickets for these at the entrance itself. They accept paytm or gpay. There are other rides too and good open spaces. During weekends there could be a crowd. Even on other days you may find these tiny winy school kids. The train takes around 8 minutes to complete a ride and can take up to 60 people. For other rides you need to purchase tickets at their respective counters itself. There's a small food kiosk and a Mayura Hotel. But you should carry your own snacks and water. Monday is holiday and please check the timings. Parking could be a problem. Suggest you take a private venhicle or take the metro. It will take about half a day to do justice there.

We enjoyed the toy train and Boating it was worth the price. But not on weekends as we should wait 2 hrs in queue for both the toy train and Boating .

  • 3/5 Lakshmi R. 1 year ago on Google
Administration department has to take a decision on ticket issue for toy train and entrance. The last train is at 6pm in the evening and ticket issuance goes on until 6 and are asked to vacate the place within 6.15pm. A minimum of 30 mins to enjoy inside park is to be considered and ticket issuance time or the play area time has to be well decided. Was not satisfied with the timings as we waited in the queue for 30mins and enjoyed toytrain to just get out of the park. Bal bhavan is a good place for kids hangout. well maintained.

Great place for kids in Bangalore no doubt in that, the toy train is great The ticketing system is from 1990, only cash accepted (please carry change else it's a hassle), no UPI whatsoever, can't book tickets online , even on a Sunday there is only one guy issuing tickets. 1 star for this experience, it takes 40mins to get tickets on a Sunday morning and about 2 hours on Sunday evening. Dont visit the place on weekend evening if you want your kids to enjoy. Its awful Every business inside accepts UPI. Also have to buy train and boat ride tickets along with entrance tickets, can't buy another round of tickets inside if needed Carry ample cash when visiting the park, also most areas in the park are under construction and closed.

  • 2/5 Veena R. 10 months ago on Google
We waited for an hour to buy tickets. The issue was not the crowd, but the primitive mode of payment. The ticket staff accept only cash. The staff was calculating manually and took 5 minutes per person. We were exhausted by the time we entered the park. The park inside was good.

After an educational trip to Government Aquarium, I took my 7 year old to Bal Bhavan which is right adjacent to the Aquarium. We were disappointed to know at the ticket counter that the toy train ride (which goes around the entire park) was under maintenance, nevertheless we bought the ticket and wanted to visit the park. Despite the toy train ride not happening, we enjoyed the visit to this place. The mini toy train ride made up for the loss of the actual toy train. Columbus ride looked enticing but gotto miss it as my 7 year old couldn't have handled it, perhaps. Toilets facility is available inside the complex. Sri Jaya Chamarajendra victory hall is located inside the compound where cultural events are held (as per the notice I read at the entrance of the hall). I also noticed banners about how the place could be booked for kids' birthday parties. Now the most important part, one is bound to get tired, hungry and thirsty moving around the park and for that there is small restaurant of Karnataka State Tourism named Mayura Bal Bhavan is located further down the park (near the exit) We tried their masala dosa and coffee and surprisingly for the small set up that is, the taste was good. I had to plead my child thats its times up and we gotto leave the place as she was enjoying so much. I recommend this place!!

Walked into Bal Bhavan after many years and it felt like the same place I had known. This is a a good place for kids to spend a few hours at. The toy train, the many play areas and most importantly the many trees are great for kids. Recommend this place for a great outing. One warning though - Do an inspection of the play area before allowing your kids to play.

A good place for family day out. Come up with family playing stuffs( flying disc, shuttle, skating, soft ball, etc). Some interesting rides for family there. Snacks and canteen facility are available. Paid toilet available, maintained decently. Things to improve are: more kids playing equipments to be added and maintained better. Canteen should have more options like nandini icecreams etc. More advertising needed.
