The lake area is awesome but need more things to do. Now it is open for public use again after long time of rejuvenation. But currently no boating facility available here. Irrespective of this there is fountains which looks pretty good. Better time to visit there is at evening hours.

You can find eating stalls outside the monument. There is greenery, peace, water, and some moments away from the noise and pollution of Delhi. And if you're heading in the evening time, then you'll witness the lights as well. Fountains are there with the beauty. Don't throw waste here and there or in the water. Cleanliness should be prioritized always. I always admired these types of places and this is amazing.

Water is extremely dirty. A few random vendors selling cheap, poor quality snacks can be found. The entrance from the main road (Mathura road) is much much nearer to the ticket counter. You will have to walk for more than a km if you enter from Purana Quila side. Parking is at Zoo.

One of the beautiful spot near Old fort, the place is awesome to have some pleasant time. The lake is beautiful and surround by trees. There are boating available in the lake which cost around 30 per person. The water is not so clean and also avoid to buy some cheap food items here. Have a good journey.

This is the famous lake located right besides the Purana Qila (Old Fort). Indian government authorities have improved the lake (as of February 2020) and now one can easily enjoy boating here. Regular cleaning activities are done here and water quality has improved considerably. Government authorities has also placed enough benches along the sides of lakes. If you are visiting in late evening or during night, you can also see fabulous lighting effect done all along the lake sides.

I have such fond memories of boating here with my grandpa when I was a young boy. The lake was a natural one back then. Tragically, that natural lake dried up and died because of how humans dont care about Mother Nature. I am very thankful for the rejuvination of the lake. Tax dollars well spent for once :)

To enjoy a one full day you can club National science centre which is 500 meters away, zoo 200 meters away, India gate 2 KMS away. Update as on 2019 : Boating is no longer available in this lake, now this is just a lake with fountains.
