This spot near Palghar is a must visit. The crowing roosters, the grazing cows, the mud huts is a welcome change from the daily bustle of city life. The place has a vast serene lake that looks deep but that doesn't stop people from taking a dip and enjoying it. The place flanked by mountains on both sides. Take the time to walk up the road and enjoy the beauty of nature. No safety concerns noted. Its a village and very often you will see the humble folks going to work the fields, tending to cattle, just minding their own business. You have ample space to park car right next to the police check post. The place is frequented by college crowd and those that want to take break from a busy life. Best time to visit is early morning Do carry water & food with you and please don't litter the place. It is sad to see some places strewn with food packets, plastic etc. Lets enjoy responsibly.

Beautiful place to visit with your friends and family. Better to go during rainy season. View is absolutely amazing 🤩. Every Photo that you will take will be beautiful. Its a good picnic spot. Lot of people bought mats with them and had lunch parties. There is also a stream of water where you can go and chill. Going into into the lake is very risky so please avoid that. Its not that famous so it's not the crowded as other spots are. Overall a great place to visit.

Vandri Lake is in Palghar. The road conditions are good and it's very beautiful in the rainy season. We visited on Sunday at noon. No crowd that time. It is a very beautiful place to visit with family or friends. Just the one thing that no snacks shops or any other shops are available near the lake. It's a village area. So if you want to eat something you should bring these with yourself. At the time of returning we saw one shop selling Vadapav with home made chutney. We ate it and the taste is too good. I think from the lake point shop is nearly 20min far away.

A place to relax and enjoy the view of the beautiful lake very close to the city. Depending upon where you stay, it is around 30-60kms from the city. We were searching for a place to visit for a short trip and this looked interesting. We drove to this place which is almost secluded from the city. You will find many spots along the lake where you can just sit and relax enjoying the serene water in the midst of lush green surroundings. You will not get any shop nearby. It is therefore recommended to carry some snacks and tea. However, sincere not to litter the place and lets try to maintain the natural beauty. Best time to visit is during the monsoon.

Amazing place near Mumbai. One and half hour drive from Borivali. If possible club it with Jawhar Dhabosa and on way back a small detour to Vandri Lake. There are no eateries near this place only pristine lake with view. The entry to dam is closed

Reach by 6 a.m. to witness a beautiful sunrise. Very nice, peaceful place. Carry your own water and food. Don't get misguided; ask the locals for the perfect Sunrise spot. There is a very specific place to visit the beautiful sunrise; otherwise, you'll land on a different side of the lake, and from there, the sunrise will not be that visible. Often, Movie shoots happen in that area, so make sure to reach early to witness the beauty, or else the shoot people won't allow you to enter.

I’ve always been a bike enthusiast and i do a have a special place in my heart for different sort of bikes. As i was surfing the internet for planning our next ride i came across this place which goes by the name of “Vandri lake” . After digging for sometime i came to know that it’s just an hour away from my place. So I immediately called one of my friend and asked whether he could accompany me for the ride. He agreed and we left Thane around 6.30 in the morning. We went to Vandri lake via Fountain hotel road. As it was too early we didn’t had to face any sort of traffic to reach our destination. We reached vandri lake around 7.30-7.40 and took a break for a while, unpacked our snacks, had those and started exploring the lake. This place is very quiet and peaceful as well. The greenery, the calm vibes which you’ll have being around this lake and the mountain view literally sums it up for a perfect road trip.

Best visiting season is monsoon. Easiest reach from Ahmedabad highway with very nice connecting roads to lake. The best location at this lake is going inside the green place in the middle. But you can reach there only going by "taaron ke niche se" like Bajrangi bhaijaan and Munni😃😃😃

I have heard about this place from my many friends. This is place beautiful and recommend for camping. After hearing lots of things from my friends I decided visit this place with my finance. We never went on long bike ride so this was our chance. We visited this place on Sunday morning, we went there by following Google maps directions. It was very easy to locate the place but we were first to reach there it was impossible to decide where to stop so we can got to lake. Finally after lots of exploring we found the place, we enjoyed sunrise together. Clicked lots of good spend and spend quality time together.

Its a good place to watch sunrise (better to visit early morning, as it gets hot soon). Nothing much to explore but has a serene view. You can camp there (might have to ask for permission) Good for a half day visit.

Try reaching the lake just an hour before the sunrise and you’ll see the best sunrise near Mumbai. We reached around 5am and walked all the way through ahead to get a closer view. Wouldn’t recommend taking a dip as the pebbles in the lake are slippery with sharp stones. Although you can sit along the lake with your feet dipped. And lastly don’t litter the place 🫠

Best for view and have a chill pic but currently For outsiders vehicle's there's a bad news, Villagers have closed the internal area of village (gaon) no outside vehicle can enter it. but allowed by walking only. just the vehicles are not prohibited by the local villagers due to some Social issues. Visited 16feb2020 came back with a disappointment. 75% of the best places are inside the gaon and its Closed.
