An absolute delightful place to visit ! We were famished after touring the Fort and just walked down the streets to find a restaurant . Suddenly , this cafe catches our attention and we went inside . The first impression itself was of a nice courtyard cafe . And we were much delighted after our ordered dishes came. I asked an employee behind the bill register - what’s the reason behind the name of this cafe ? He told that “Labboo” was the Holkar’s driver ! He used to ran a lodge in those days . Now this is a Cafe that is run on his name ! He was tall , so people used to called him “Lambu” and kids usually mis-pronounced his name as “Labboo” , that’s from where this all started ! I found the food to be delicious . Only thing was the slow service since they prepare and serve piping-hot food instead of just heat the food which was made earlier then serve , like many restaurants do. The Paranthas were amazing . Sandwiches were equally good. The ambience was neat , clean , green and beautiful . One must visit this cafe when in Maheshwar.

The Cafe is located inside the fort.We ate here, very decent and hygienic. Its interior is simple and aesthetic. We haven't stayed here. After an exhausting day, we went for lunch... immediately you step into the cafe, it is cool and that make you relax. We ordered Aloo paratha and butter paneer masala they served it hot, within 15 minutes. It was very tasty and homely. Of course, food will not hurt your belly. Nominal price too. Note: Toilet latch is not closing properly which needs to be corrected immediately.

Labboo's cafe gave me one of the best lodging experiences of my life. They are probably rated lower on Google reviews today because they don't have a conventional cafe that people expect- service isn’t quick, there aren’t a lot of food options, and they take their last order by 7.30. But trust me, if you are staying here, you are going to have an amazing time. I did the booking for the stay by contacting their manager through the number i found online. My booking experience wasn't all that good to be honest. So my impression of the place wasn't that good until I arrived. After that, everything changed :p. They were very sweet people - the guard, the helpers, the manager. Everyone was warm and welcoming. The rooms were incredible (both the Bee Eater and the Magie pie). Magpie has two windows where you can sit and gonk outside. Though the view is mostly covered by bushes. Though the view on the window of Bee Eater is open and you'd enjoy sitting there. The open area by the Bee eater room is amazing too. Overall, the lodging experience was great. Now onto to the food. They had complementary breakfast with the booking. So you could order 2 things out of the list the handed out- options included things like Poha, Aloo Paratha, sandwich, bread butter, toast, tea, coffee. It was a small list. But the food was great. For lunch/ dinner, you can tell them what you want to eat and around what time would you like to eat and they'll do the preparation accordingly. They don't have a lot of crowd usually, so they prepare as per request ( for which reason, their prep time can be loong for the people only coming to eat here, it's not a quick grab and bite place ). Thing I tried here: - Veg thali 3/5 - Paneer pakoda 5/5 - Noodles 4.5/5 - Manchurian 5/5 - Poha 4.5/5 - Aloo Paratha 4/5 I loved their food, especially Paneer pakoda and Manchurian. Just Amazing! Worth every penny and more. I had a few safety concerns for the bee eater room which I passed on to the manager and I hope they’ll be addressed. All in all, it was an amazing experience and would recommend you to try Labboos for sure. Note: Maheshwar is a slow placed town. The kitchen in labboos closes by 7.30 PM. So order ahead.

Lovely ambiance, great location! Food is also okay as compared to other restaurants in that town. Even foreigners can prefer eating here. Items like Manchurian and honey chilli potato are tasty. Whereas do not try there grilled sandwich which is not that tasty and too dry. French fries are okay to go with. Limited food options but good to spend your evening after exploring the fort. Prices are reasonable. They have washrooms which are clean and neat. Just located on the right hand side of the main entrance of the Rajwada or Maheshwar fort.

Terrible Horrible experience. They start with - No. This is not available. That is not available. This will take an hour. This menu is not today. This is not on weekdays. This is not on weekends. Why on earth do they call themselves a restaurant, I wonder.

One of the nicest place I've ever been to. The food was amazing, specially, the Aloo Parathas and the Cheese Sandwich. I am in love with the interiors as it was made in vintage style. The experience I had there was totally amazing. I will definitely plan one more visit in near future to Labboo's Café.

It's an open cafe, where you can have complete vegetarian meal, paneer paratha is a must try (please ask to put less salt if you like to have mild taste in terms of savoury food).. I would not recommend to have dinner here if anyone is scared of lizards, other than that Labooz is a hot place for meals in Maheshwar And not to forget everyone in Maheshwar are soft spoken people so it's easy to communicate with them.. (To be noted: there are literally limited options for food in Maheshwar) Other than cafe, Labooz also has heritage lodge, if you are not sensetive to mold smell (during or after monsoon), give it a try to stay there. They have AC and water heater as well. Hope you have a good time in Maheshwar.

Absolutely loved this place. Unfortunately was unable to secure a 2 day stay due to non availability of rooms. Food options are limited but the food is very good. Walking distance to the fort. Prompt and friendly staff that will go the extra mile. Great ambience. Be careful of mosquitoes during 1-2 hours in the evening. Would love to visit again for sure.

Rooms: It isn't easy to do up a heritage property, and I think they've pulled off a good one (atleast the Bee Eater was good) Service: Very prompt and courteous staff Location: I was delighted to stay within a fort premise for the first time, the walk towards the ghat, proximity to the river and the palace made it a perfect location. Food: I've always found it hard to find simple, clean local cuisine in such places. I think the food was simple and delicious.

Peaceful and Delicious food This place is just outside the Ahilya Devi fort. Ambience is good. Food is delicious. You have to place and order over the counter once you go inside. They have plenty of options available here. I loved the cold coffee there.

Extremely discourteous staff. Huge wait time, for a normal grilled sandwich they take 45 minutes and then the sandwich comes which is not even grilled. The attitude of the staff is terrible, as soon as you enter they tell you that the it will take at least 30 mins for a normal bare minimum order. The washrooms are stinky and dirty. It feels that the heritage and hospitality of indore is being shamed.

It's small cottage type rooms made in ahilyadevi Mahal. Rooms are cosy but nice. Staff is friendly and food is cheap. You have private car park area. Close to Narmada river ghat. This place is inside Ahilyadevi fort, therefore you can bring your car directly to hotel. Road to this fort is narrow and pass through market lanes. There is oneway at all place to avoid congestion. You can also visit nearby Sahastradhara (7km) from here. This is my fourth visit here. Room cost from 1800 to 3500 rs per day.

Location is good, just inside the fort. Neet and clean rooms. Staff is very friendly. The problem is their restaurant timings and menu options. Very limited options of veg food only, except egg fried rice and omlet. The timings are very odd. They don't accept any orders beyond 07:30 pm and serve nothing after 8 pm, strictly. They open at 8 am and can provide breakfast only after 08:30 am. Terrible. One good thing is that they have private parking available inside the fort walls if you are staying with them.

Stay : Rooms are small but clean and cozy. Some rooms don't have bathroom doors. Confirm once before booking. Food : Decent food. Parathas are good. Sandwiches etc can be improved. Location : Great location. Located right in the fort. Ghat, kashi vishweshwar and fort Maheshwar are 5 mins walk from here. Special mention to Ravi, who was the manager there. He was very helpful throughout our booking process and stay.

I wish there would be a option to give zero aur minus ⭐... I would definitely give it zero.. Food has not quality and taste it just wastage of your money and spoiling your mood😶. I tried here idli and sambhar and payed 90 rs for this.... Food taste wasth pathetic . Staff was not so active. In fort area of maheshwar there is not such a good option to eat..so plan according.

We stayed 3 nights in the Bee-Eater room and it was a special experience to stay on the top of the city gate with 2 private patios. Highly recommended! Restaurant ambiance is fabulous but the food is lacking. Would love to see some dishes with fresh vegetables or fruits.

This place is very close to the ghat and the only cafe in this stretch that is open up early. A great breakfast option with a beautiful old vibe. The only thing is this place is in no hurry so if you are here for a quick bite thing again as it's a laid back place and they take time to serve the order. Another thing place all your order at once including your after meal drinks as they are going to take time. We were in hurry hence we had to only have tea and leave , cancelling our food order as that was taking time.

This place is right at the entrance of Ahilya fort. The rooms are part of the fort, heritage style, well maintained. Service and staff behavior is good. We booked two rooms on the spot as we reached in evening. Next morning we visited the fort, temples and Narmada ghat. All are at walking distance. People in Maheshwar are very friendly.

Really nice location to have a cup of tea/ coffee, or fresh juice. A wide range of snacks available to fill your stomach with love after coming up to the fort! Beautiful small rooms for stay at 'Narmada Ghat' if you pre-plan the tour.

If you are thinking of eating or staying at Labooz, our advice would be to DON’T. We stayed in the room next to the REHWA Society outlet, (8 October 2023) across the road from the café. The room had no windows and only one light out of the two provided was working. The flush did not work in the bathroom and the bathroom had no exhaust. The room reminded us of a poor Mumbai chawl. The food was worse. We had a vegetarian Thali at 300 per head for lunch. The rice and the dal were cold and the vegetable provided was lauki with a lot of dal. The complimentary breakfast consisted of poha and coffee. If this is how the Royal Holkars live or entertain, it is a sad commentary on our royal past. The place is running only on the name and it doesn’t seem like the owners are in any way engaged or interested in the running of the place.

OK food. Understaffed, hence took a while for the order to be served. Food was OK OK. I loved their Soyabean sabji and brinjal sabjibfeom their Thali. A bit on the expensive side. I suggest that they add some local delicacies to their menu.

I stayed here for a cup of tea and was mesmerized by this place. A quaint sylian retreat tucked away at the entrance to the Maheshwar fort. The foliage and the canopy hide this gem from the outside world. I would advise everyone to stop here and have a nice soothing cup of tea and forget worries for a while.

Super cool vibes.. laid back! Right at the entry to the fort. We tried few things and everything was upto the mark. Many things were not available from the menu probably due to less tourists right now. Well maintained and hygienic. The staff used masks and gloves and even sanitised all tables and chairs after people left.

The cafe situated just near the palace and center of the city, it provides accessibility to important town facilities. With its convenient location, the cafe offers easy access to the city's must-see destinations. Cafe having almost dishes you can get in this malwa region. Taste and price is moderate.

Niche cafe at Maheshwar with quality taste, rates and classic sitting. Nestling just aside of Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar Rajwada, by evening turns out to be a great crowd puller at Maheshwar and from nearby areas as well. A must visit place at Maheshwar.

The staff at labboo’z is just the slowest, most inefficient you’ll fine in India! We went there four times because we liked the outdoor seating, it really is a lovely place. But everytime we were amazed at how bad the service really was! Most of the dishes on the menu they don’t have, but that was not an issue to us, I was fine with just a sandwich or dal (except for the grilled sandwich, all our food was served cold). But even though we were the only customers on three of the occasions we went there, it took at least 15 minutes to come up to our table. And there is plenty of staff! Today we had been waiting for 20 minutes for somebody to come up to us. When the guy finally arrived, he told us waiting time would be at least an hour, and then he just left. I still wanted to order a drink so we sat there for another 20 minutes waiting for a waiter to appear ( we tried calling someone, it didn’t help) until we finally had enough and just left. Worst restaurant experience ever!!!

This is a nice cozy place. Located at entrance to mahesh war fort. In fact the entrance arch hides this place. The rooms are small but comfortable. The toilets are clean. Some specific items on the menu of food is good. Pasta, kaju sabjee, thali is good. Did not like the aloo chat at all.

Terrific heritage building. Nice room well appointed with good bed. Only problem were all the tourists and locals screaming and shouting and honking their horns from early a.m. to about 10pm right outside the building. But other than this food great and staff very helpful. Manager Arif especially so.

(Translated by Google) The rooms are clean and well furnished. But the hydraulic system is lacking (hot water not always available) and electric (it often skips the light and the power outlets are approximate). Breakfast is miserable and ridiculous: you can only choose a hot drink and a toast, at most buttered. The staff never smiles and is often distracted and unkind. There is no table cleaning and waiting times for meals are long. The menu for lunch and dinner is limited, and for dinner you can have dinner for a maximum of 7 p.m. The night is better not to stay in the rooms near the entrance because you might be woken up by the watchman who watches TV at too high volumes. Exaggerated quality / price ratio.

Nice location but poor service, untrained staff and the food is bad. The French fries were served burnt and soggy and the staff was unapologetic about the quality of food and the service. Lastly, the credit card machine didn't work and the staff did not provide the contact number of the owner /senior management to lodge a complaint. Overall, a BAD place and avoidable.
