Awesome place to visit with kids. We enjoyed a lot there. One thing i couldn’t understand that you are allowed to take pictures but not the video. Could understand the logic behind this decision. Highly recommended Tip: send some one in the morning to get tickets as they only sell a limited number of tickets every day.

I recently visited the Army Museum and I must say, it was an incredible experience. The museum had a wide range of exhibits that showcased the rich history and culture of the army. From the uniforms and weapons to the stories of bravery and sacrifice, the museum had something for everyone. What I loved most about the museum was their presentation of the exhibits. The museum staff were knowledgeable and passionate about the history of the army, and they brought the exhibits to life with their storytelling. Their attention to detail was impressive, and it was clear that they had put a lot of effort into making sure that the visitors had an enjoyable and educational experience. In addition to the exhibits, the museum also had a section dedicated to crafts and artwork. The crafts were made by the soldiers themselves, and they were a testament to the creativity and skill of the army personnel. It was inspiring to see the dedication and passion that went into making these pieces of art. Overall, I would highly recommend the Army Museum to anyone who is interested in learning more about the army and its rich history. The exhibits were informative and engaging, and the presentation was top-notch. The crafts and artwork were a bonus, and they added a unique touch to the overall experience. If you're looking for a fun and educational activity to do with family or friends, this is definitely a museum worth checking out.

The best army museum in 🇵🇰 (besides Rawalpindi) It has both an outdoor display area (exhibiting fighter planes, Choppers & battle tanks) and an indoor exhibition building (pertaining to ancient and modern warfare, the birth and the history of 🇵🇰, our decorated armed forces and their contributions, the wars with 🇮🇳, the operations against terrorism, the gayari memorial, a Shuhada gallery and what not?) Besides you can also find a souvenir shop, a cafeteria and a lush green lawn (soothing to the eyes) Ticket price for adults is Rs 100 and for children is 60 and the timings are from 9am till 4:30pm (in Summers) Free car parking is also available in the premises Overall a visit is highly recommended 👍

Fantastic experience. Beautifully curated museum, you can really see the effort put into this. All weaponry is authentic, and even the insignias on the British soldiers' sleeves are historically accurate. Couple that with imaginative displays and thoroughly professional staff and you've got a great way to spend the day. Trust me, no matter how much you know, you'll find out something you never knew before, dating from ancient times. I sure did.

My experience here in Army Museum was top notch. The main entrance wall containing all shuada names since 47 is commendable. The whole Pakistan experience here is something new. A new era of digital arts shown here is appreciated. Anyone with interest in history or weaponry must visit once. The entry ticket is 300 rupees with extra 100 each for Major Aziz Bhatti post and Mi17 inner experience.

A very good place with a lots of history and information about military. They have portrayed a beautiful and historic view of 1947 with connects so deep. It show how our beloved made sacrifices for this beautiful country. And a very rich history how its all started when British rules starts. When we talks about army you'll see every old and latest technology weapons and with details. Every war we fought, every mission we accomplished and every achievement we made are there with brief details. One more things is our martyrs are honored beautifully. I can't put every thing in words. But must go with family and let your kids know about history.

A historic account dating from greek and central Asian invaders to modern day Pakistan with special emphasis on war effort of Pakistan Army and it's role in nation building. Facility is well maintained and top notch with an indoor section depicting sculptures related to different eras of Pakistani history and an outdoor open area housing captured Indian tanks, own helicopters, aircrafts being used by Army Aviation other armament used by Army. There's a cafeteria and souvenir shop as well. Facility is located near airport and adjacent to Rangers Head Quarters inside Lahore cantonment. There's ample parking place and facility operates Saturday to Thursday from 9 am onwards. One has to purchase ticket. They offer facility of virtual tour guide on paying 300 Rs in form of voice device along the way. A must visit place. Recommended

Ticket: For Adult Rs100 Child till 2 years is Rs 50 Other tickets like to enter a helicopter is Rs 100 (not worthy at all, as most of the equipment is ripped off and there is nothing there which can educate about the aircraft) Documentary section is only open on weekdays(Mon to Friday) However one of a great museum to showcase the history of Pakistan and Pakistan Army with some of their defense tanks, helicopters, air craft guns etc.

Recently, had the opportunity to visit the Army Museum in Lahore. I was literally stunned to see the attention to detail. On the very entrance you find these very amazing black granite slabs having all the names of Shuhada, which i thought was a great tribute. The lifesize mannequins depicting different real life events are the starlight of the museum. The fight against terrorism is covered beautifully in a dedicated section. Different sized tanks and canons on display are breathtaking, i especially liked, on display, a captured tank. The complete range of helicopters and planes were beautiful. I never knew that you could see them so upclose. In a nutshell, It was time well spent as it was informative, amazing and close to reality. Hip Hip Hurrah! Pakistan Zindabad!!!

Place is excellent and well built with very good message coming across. Problem is management. The ticketing system is a joke. Ticket office is closed by 10. They say that we sell limited tickets (and this is even before pandemic). Whole place is empty by mid day or 1. But they would not sell more tickets. The administration should be changed or some one should put some sense into them. If you can get in it's a wonderful place and every Pakistani should see it and learn how hard our forces work and freedom is very very dear and we should respect it. Please make some reasonable rules of administration or possibly give it to some reputable company to run it.

Good place to visit. Gives good knowledge about working of Army, history of Pakistan, different weapons used in different eras of history, role of Pak Army in different wars and against terrorism, equipment used by Army, helicopters, planes and tanks used by Army. There is a canteen and souvenir shop inside museum. Rates of canteen are reasonable. Entry ticket for kids below 12 is Rs 20 and for adults is Rs 50. Wide area has been reserved for parking. Good for outing of kids and those who have interest in weapons. Good place to visit on Sundays esp. If you visit on Sunday, buy tickets before 8am, otherwise you wont get ticket. Small kids, below 4 years are not allowed. During Corona, citizens above 50 are also not allowed. Flash photography and making video is not allowed. Still photography without flash is allowed.

Could not get entry tickets for Museum and only enjoyed in the adjacent park. According to Hawkers they sell only 500 tickets per day starting from 9:00 A.M. to onwards that means you have to collect tickets early and can visit Museum till it's closure i.e. 4:30 P.M. however park remains open after that. Every Thursday and Friday are closed days.

Go back in time at the Army Museum, which offers insight into the military history of the Pakistan Army and houses Pakistan’s second-largest collection of military items. As you enter the museum, you'll first see four imposing tanks that Pakistan captured from India. Then, explore the museum's variety of exhibits that will bring you through the different wars, the weapons used, and the wartime heroes. There are around 180 life-size dioramas, as well as sculpted busts of Pakistani army generals from 1947 till today....

A very beautifully built and one of the eat representation of Pakistan History. I have yet to see such research work and it's manifestation. Pakistan independence gallery specially took my heart away. The I dependence Train is the best of all. Note: Tickets run out quick. So try and get them in the morning. Entry is allowed till 430 then gates are closed. A great place to visit to to see and get in touch with the history of our country. When you enter you are greeted by walls where the names of all the shuhada of our country have been engraved onto the walls. And then as tou walk past it, the path you take is takes you through the start of Pakistan, in 1947, and goes on with the timeline, highlighting all important military missions. There are guides available everywhere if you have any questions. After going through the inside, you can go outside where armored vehicles are parked which you can watch very closely and even get onto some. Overall its a pleasant experience and i would definitely recommend.

One of the best international standard museums of Pakistan. The history is captured through pictures, explanations, and most importantly lifelike statues and murals. The most impressive and unique is the terrorism through ages gallery, which shows a walking visitor how beautiful, and culturally inclusive Pakistan was grabbed by dark shadows of terrorism, how it affected socio-economic life and how the turning point APS attack on children changed the nation's mood. After so many sacrifices, we are finally out of it. The museum is elegantly designed, and proportionately arranged.

The Army Museum, located a little short of the way to the new Lahore Airport over quite spacious area. The Army Museum is a good and much desired addition to limited museums which are already located in the provincial metropolis. Museums take decades and even centuries to develop and the vast area around the presently covered area of the newly-established Army Museum will provide enough space for its expansion and further development to the management in the coming years.

Lyallpur Museum is a heritage museum in Faisalabad, Pakistan ( the old and original name for the city of Faisalabad is Lyallpur).[1] It has 10 galleries which show the ancient and modern history and culture of Lyallpur/Faisalabad. It was established in 2011 by the Chief Minister Punjab, Mian Shahbaz Sharif, following a proposal from Dr M Aamer Sarfraz (consultant and DME). The foundation committee consisted of Dr Aamer Sarfraz (Chairman), Dr Touqeer Shah (Secretary to Chief Minister), Haseeb Athar (Secretary Education) and Saeed Wahlah (Divisional Commissioner Officer)[2] It has a Board of Governors now headed by the Commissioner, Faisalabad Division.

    1) Tickets: Can be bought at any time. There are no agents selling them in black as I heard. 2) spacious parking area. 3) official site: https://armymuseumlahore.pk/ 4) ticket prices are Rs. 100 for adults and Rs. 50 for children. 5) it was a nice experience. The ground is spacious where children can play and adults can rest and enjoy the weather. 6) you can climb up the tanks to have your photo taken. 7) helicopters cannot be reached but photos taken from a distance. Overall it's quite a good experience to get to know about the sacrifices of the army and those who laid the foundation of the country. They also have a cafeteria where you can get tea/coffee and some other snacks.

Behavior of ticket staff was really disappointing. I traveled from karachi with my kids to make them know about history of our Pakistan and Pak Army but they didn't let my youngest daughter and an elderly family person to enter in museum bcoz of so called SOPs. They were letting Army officers kids but for civilians they have strict policy. Kindly make sure if you are planning for visit army museum lahore follow these guidelines : No kid under 10 with you No elederly person above 50 years is allowed No filming of any thing but you can take snaps Must bring cnic of every person above 18 years Ticket fees is Rs. 50 per person

Discount for Defence Persons (Serving & Retired) Over all a very good place to visit specially for increasing knowledge, School trips must visit here. A Safe place for Women and Childrens.

We visited Monday afternoon and it was not crowded at all. The large helicopters/tanks outside are amazing and kids get to climb in freely. The exhibits inside the museum exceeded my expectations. They are high quality and par with any international standard. The museum has been thoughtfully designed and our visit was both enjoyable and entertaining. There is also a small cafe/bakery inside the museum in case you want to grab a bite.

Surprisingly today it is closed, mentioned time here was 4:30 pm today we went on 3:00 pm it's closed. Correct time should be mentioned, once someone is sparing time to go to patriotic places, army museum Lahore and on reaching there you got to know its not open.

This is a place where you deeply understand Pakistan Military. You'll realize how strong your Army is. You actually start getting vibes that you are in a Battlefield coverd with fully Armed Forces.

A best place to educate and guide your kuds about our country's history and ancient times of our civilization. Best art piece you can see here. A good collection of emanations can also be seen. So many things to see. Videogrsphy is not allowed . You can do photography only. Eatables are not allowed inside, but there is a small cafeteria or shop where u can buy cold drinks, coffee biscuits, and other snacks. Although I asked one of the officers if we can't bring our own things due to cleanliness restrictions, then what is the purpose of that shop inside the museum? People are buying cold drinks and leaving empty bottles here n there on grounds. Please follow the rules and make your trip beautiful just like this place.

Lahore's Army Museum is a cool spot for history buffs and anyone into Pakistan's military past. The displays are like a storybook, showing off our country's military journey with lots of details. The place is tidy and neat, making the visit even better. You can check out the cool stuff about our armed forces – their traditions, victories, and the tough times.

The Army Museum Lahore is a rich, poignant national history museum. The collection of arms and combat vehicles and aircrafts is impressive as is the brief narratives on history. The layout offers an indoor and outdoor experience. Some of the displays are graphically very moving: the walls of martyrs names, the partition train arrival scene and Major Aziz Bhatti post. For history buffs this is a must visit destination and it offers a world-class experience. With ticket price of PKR50 it is literally free! Good place to take kids to teach history and shed light on past and ongoing sacrifices by our beloved armed forces for the protection of the motherland.....Pakistan Zindabad!

Went today had the worst experience. Wouldn’t let senior citizens in or kids under 10 in because those are the people that have corona. Discrimination on another level. Everyone in front of us with kids under 10 were allowed in but we were stopped. Why because we are now considered foreign. We bring are kids to Pakistan to show them where we come from, our roots not to be treated differently. Really disappointed.

This museum is a very good to spend hours with your children or grandchildren. Very historical and clean and also the staff is very good here. It is very good as it shows us the hard work of our Army. Loved to spend my plenty of time here.

Kids will love this for other reasons as there are all types of tanks and helicopters you can climb on and take photos. The layout of the museum is organised and all information of historical value is well presented.

Beautiful collection but highly nonprofessional staff.... They won't let you visit without interruption if you don't give them some money, specially a bearded man( I don't know his name, during my visit , he kept intrupting us all the time and at the end he forced us to leave museum without completely visiting, he said , "I've to go for prayer, you must get out"....come here at some later time because you belong to Faisalabad,so you can come anytime) It was my first visit but never wanna go here again.... I visited museums in many countries but never experienced such rude staff... Really embarrassing ... Recommend you to give some money to them before entering so you could see the collection and photoshoot with ease...

(Translated by Google) Lalanpur Museum, Faisalabad; The old name of Faisalabad has been kept alive by the Lyallpur Museum and it is undoubtedly a good thing that the old names are also a part of our culture. Located in front of the District Council office on University Road, the museum is a testament to the culture of the Sandal Bar, where ancient and modern history is kept alive in 10 galleries. The museum was built in 2011 by then-Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif under the supervision of the Board of Governors. The museum is now under Commissioner Faisalabad Division. This is because of the famous textile and sandal bar galleries. Let's take a look at them. After entering, first on the right hand side you will be able to see the model of Gangapur's horse carriage or horse train which was driven by Sir Ganga Ram in his area and it was one of his important services. After this, along with the museum building, a map of Faisalabad clock tower and 8 bazaars coming out of it has been made on stone. The museum building is made of red brick, on a wall in front of which the famous and historical buildings of Faisalabad city are highlighted. Once inside, the two-story museum has 5,5 galleries upstairs and downstairs. ١ Determining Direction and Thinking Gallery As soon as you enter through the museum door, this is the first gallery in which various works from the Stone Age to the establishment of Pakistan are displayed on one wall. This is followed by various maps including district, city and town level maps with Pakistan, Punjab and Faisalabad divisions. A map of the aerial view of Faisalabad is also shown here. دل Sandal Bar Gallery The area between two rivers is called a bar. Sandal Bar is an area of Punjab located between Ravi and Chenab and Lyallpur is its main city. A large map of Sandal Bar, geology of Sandal Bar and its importance, specimens of ancient rocks, culture, tribal games, mysticism, customs and samples of agricultural commodities produced in the area are on display. Are There are more than 300 species of birds in the Sandal Bar area, but about 30 of these embedded species are on display in this gallery. There is also material on trees and plants found in the Sandal Bar area. Doabe and Bar are the main theme of this gallery. There are also maps of the languages spoken in the area. The highlight of the gallery is the Ravi River on one side and the Chenab on the other, which, with its title Sandal Bar, do justice to the imaginary landscape. ٣ Local Antiquities Gallery Due to the importance of archeology in the third gallery of the museum, the ancient tubs and buildings in different districts of Sandal Bar are shown in the form of tiles. The historical sites found in Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang and Chiniot districts are also mentioned here. The Chiniot hill carvings, clay sculptures, precious pearls and coins are on display. In this gallery Shorkot, Hindu. Ancient periods such as the Muslim period, Gandhara and the Indus Valley have also been preserved. ٤ Muslim to English Heritage Gallery Charming model of the tomb of Hazrat Sultan Bahoo in the fourth gallery of the museum, parts of ancient buildings with beautifully designed Islamic style, blue tilework of Multan, rare copies of Holy Quran, pottery, paper mesh work, knife, dagger, metal And oil work and various weapons of the Sikh and British era are also kept. ٥ Chenab Colony Gallery In the fifth gallery, the Lower Chenab Colony, the railway and canal system built during the British period are shown with the help of a large map, while the bridges at Jhang and Chiniot are shown in pictorial form. There are also showcases of calligraphic specimens, as well as weapons used in the British, Sikh and Mughal periods. A beautiful model of Lower Chenab Colony also adorns it. ٦ Lyallpur Gallery The first gallery above and the sixth gallery of the museum contains maps of Lyallpur built during the British period and legal documents of various agreements made during that period which are framed in glass. Along with historical photographs of different castes and their dress in the British era, GIS-assisted maps have been placed on how urbanization has increased in Faisalabad since the British era. ٦ Thought and Action Gallery Prior to the establishment of Pakistan here, communication tools, passports, etc. used in the offices of the British.

Very well curated museum on the history of Pakistan itself and Pakistan Army in particular. I learnt a lot! Everything is bilingual, English and Urdu, so also very good for expats or tourists! My special admiration to the staff, esp. the lady in the "war against terror" section who came to my assistance when I needed it. Alas, you cannot bring a water bottle but they provide a cafeteria.

Very well managed and maintained. Neat and clean environment. Lush green fields outside the main museum building. Its worth seeing, must visit place in lahore. State of the art sculptures, depiction of war history of Pakistan. Tickets 50 rs. You can't bring eatables, drink, water bottles and pens etc. They will ask you to put them outside the gate of museum. Its bad thing, they must have cabinets to place people's such belongings by issuing them a particular cabinet ticket number. As currently there is not such booth to submit belongings it can be misplaced. You can only buy snaks from their cafe and it must be consumed in cafe, even you cant take bottles or remaining food out of the cafeteria.

An Excellent Place to visit. There are hundreds of interesting valuable historic fighting machines. So many Tanks of history, World War I and World War II also kept there. Indian Army Captured Tanks also available here. 3D Scenes of history, like partition and War also displayed very well. A stock of different Guns also displayed in a gallery. A gallery of Nishan-e-Haider also very impressive. Souvenir shop also available to purchase gifts. Must visit with your family.

It's a place worth visiting especially for kids. Was not too impressed by the indoor museum because it wasn't much related to army but yes they had some very beautiful art pieces inside. The outdoor vehicles were the main attraction for me and the family. It was very clean which I loved. A lot of the vehicles were same so it got a bit monotonous at the end. We were so tired by the end we had to leave without completing the round. Thought we will go again since we live not too far. It says online that you can only buy the tickets till 11am but people were buying it even at 2pm. I would have recommended to carry a water bottle and small snack especially if traveling with kids but I'm pretty certain food and drinks aren't allowed. There is a small food stall inside the museum in case any food or drink is required.

The Army Museum is an exceptional and fascinating place to visit, especially for those with an interest in military history. The museum houses an extensive collection of military artifacts, ranging from weapons, vehicles, uniforms, and other military memorabilia. Upon entering the museum, visitors are greeted by a stunning display of tanks, armored vehicles, and artillery pieces. These machines of war serve as a fitting introduction to the rich history of military operations that are featured throughout the museum. One of the most impressive aspects of the museum is the wealth of information available to visitors. Each exhibit has detailed descriptions and interactive displays that help to bring the military history to life. The exhibits cover a range of military conflicts from different eras, including World War I, World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. The museum also provides a fascinating insight into the lives of soldiers and their families. There are displays of barracks, training facilities, and hospitals, which give visitors an idea of the daily routine of a soldier. Visitors can also learn about the hardships and challenges that soldiers face on the battlefield through exhibits featuring personal accounts and letters. One of the most memorable parts of the museum is the extensive collection of military uniforms, medals, and decorations. Visitors can see how military attire and equipment have evolved over time and learn about the different ranks and insignia that distinguish soldiers from one another. The Army Museum also offers a range of interactive activities that are perfect for children and families. There are hands-on exhibits that allow visitors to handle equipment and try on helmets, uniforms, and other gear. There are also simulation games that allow visitors to experience the thrill of piloting a fighter jet or driving a tank. Overall, the Army Museum is a must-see attraction for anyone with an interest in military history. The exhibits are informative, engaging, and thought-provoking, and the interactive activities make it an enjoyable experience for visitors of all ages.
