An awesome museum, very economical and a great place to visit with Family. Entry pass is only for 50 Rs, inside there is a VR 3D train, which costs 100 rupees. That has an amazing story of how Pakistan came into being. The museum has state of art items at par with museums of modern countries. A highly recommended place to be visited.

National History museum is a must place to visit inside the greater Iqbal park. You would find history museum a place which gives you virtual tour of efforts put by Muslims of sub contenant using modern technologies like visual documentary, Virtual reality and Audios. The guide in history museum shares with you the story of the great effort that our elders did to get this homeland for us. May Allah enable us to protect and serve our country. IA

National History Museum, Lahore is one of the best places I have visited till date. For those who are interested in history, this place is no less than a paradise. As soon as you enter this museum, you feel like you have entered another world. The most interesting thing about it is its digital system. There are screens installed in each section where you can watch detailed documentation of everything. In this way, along with seeing historical scenes, you can also get valuable information. Be it politics or sports fields, literature and culture or old-time lifestyle, film industry or famous singers of the subcontinent, history of everything can be seen here. *** THE INTERESTING THING IS THAT ALL THIS Can Be Seen In Just 80 Rupees Ticket .*** Note:- Making videos inside the museum is prohibited. Photographing is permitted but photography of historical documents is prohibited

The place to know the history

  • 5/5 Muhammad Usman Ahmad k. 4 years ago on Google
It's a nice place to visit and you can enjoy the voice of history by using hanging headphones in the museum. They categorized tickets in 3 ways, 1. Rs. 50 includes just visiting and listen audio and video clips, you can make photos of yourself with all historical areas defined but you are not allowed to take photo of only areas, you should be there in the photo ;) 2. Rs. 100 extra should be pay for making photo with historical group members that includes you in black n white mode. (optional) 3. Rs. 200 extra should be pay for watching VR videos sitting in the train single box placed in the museum. (optional) There are screens displayed with having movie clips of 1960's and much more to explore here.

An excellent addition to the archives of Pakistan and wonderful contribution by the Govt. Of Punjab and Citizen Archives of Pakistan. This museum is so beautiful crafted with fusion of technology and design language that one doesn't feel bored. Historic events are exhibited in beautifully crafted timelines that one thoroughly enjoys. Display of moments of partition with narratives recorded from generation of partition and use of hologram and virtual reality makes the experience heart touching. It's maintenance will be most critical and collective responsibility of all of us. Please visit, once it officially opens up for public and treat every thing like a master piece of your own drawing room.

The museum is built in the shape of a semi-circle, with the entrance on one end and exit on the other. There are five different halls with various exhibits, along with a Heroes Gallery, a gift shop, and an amphitheater. The museum is organized to highlight some of the most important moments and people in Pakistan’s history. The first hall included exhibits about The Lahore Resolution, Gandhi-Jinnah Talks, The 3rd June Plan and the Indian Independence Act of 1947, along with an overarching timeline of Pakistan. The second hall was dedicated to how Pakistan came into being with the following exhibits: Journey to Pakistan and 1947 Fasadaat. Hall three was divided into categories, which included the Wagah Station, Refugees, The Government of Pakistan, The Citizens of Pakistan and the Armed Forces. Hall four showcased Popular Culture, and acted as a link to present-day Pakistan, while hall five included Sports, Quwwat-e-Pakistan and Young Historians. This influx of information could naturally be overwhelming for a first time visitor, but to my delight, there were well informed guides in each hall to guide the visitors through the exhibits.

National history museum is situated in greater Iqbal park formerly minar e Pakistan it is build in 2017 when sharifs politicians and political government in punjab converted minar e Pakistan to greater Iqbal park. This museum has history of Hindustan started from when East India company entered Pakistan and takeover hisdustan from mughals emperors Muslims. Then their hundred years of ruilling Hindustan and after that how Muslims started their efforts to make history and making their own country as Pakistan struggle of greatest leader of history quad e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and other Muslim leaders and all their effort. One thing to Tell here it is Pakistan first digital created museum where you can see everything digital screens and listen to the history also while watching videos their are digital tables on which if you touch every part you can see these on screen and listen to the history very well prepared and very well build museum I must say a good step towards creating digital museum. History of Hindustan and Muslims are also well explained with pictures videos and music playing. I will suggest every history lover person to must visit this place. One more thing to say there is ticket price rs 50 for each adult to enter the national history museum.

National History Museum isn’t just a collection of artifacts; it’s a digital time capsule that celebrates our shared heritage. 🏛️✨ The National History Museum in Lahore, Pakistan, is a digital marvel that transports visitors through time, culture, and the rich tapestry of Pakistan’s heritage. Let me share the wonders of this unique museum. The museum unfolds across five captivating sections, each revealing a different facet of Pakistan’s history and culture.

Brilliantly done! Loads of information through interactive displays and visuals. Amazing VR simulation about the migration of 1947 and superb idea of "stepping into the past" where anyone can get clicked with Quaid and his companions. Just a suggestion. They should keep few clothes as well for pictures, as todays costumes do not match the old ones. Like a coat, a dupatta, sherwani. Otherwise its an amazing experience and in the end a lovely story telling session with an art activity was a cherry on top. Souvenir shop is great as well. Staff was polite and friendly. We had an amazing time with kids.

It has exhibits and galleries which display and provide information about the ecology, geology, and paleontology of the country. Currently, the museum houses a collection of over 300,000 objects.[1] The museum also acts as a research center and works closely with the Lok Virsa Museum. The museum is open to public everyday, except for Friday, from 10 am to 5 pm.[3] The museum is managed by the Pakistan Science Foundation, under the Ministry of Science and Technology of which Fawad Chaudhry[4][1] is minister from 18 April 2019.

The corner I really loved is Lolly wood area. It's a must go for each Pakistani and the foreigner who wants to know Pakistan!!!

If you really want to learn a bit about Pakistan's history in a fun, interactive way then this place would be it. The VR train simply blew my mind away. We went to this place as part of the TCF's Rahbar programme. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the museum inside. This made the exposure trip well worth it. I'd highly recommend this place for anyone.

There are LEDs and LCDs with Headphones 🎧 and you can watch the videos you can find this type of information from the books of 8th or 9th graders better than visit. One the most educating experiences in Lahore. You learn so much about your history in this place. It is like a time travel back to the pre-partition era and then subsequent history of Pakistan. Citizens' Archive Project (CAP) collects memoirs of ordinary citizens from that era and this gives a unique perspective on history. Museum also holds art classes and story telling sessions for kids which is an amazing effort.

The National History Museum is a digital museum located in Greater Iqbal Park in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. A project of the Parks and Horticulture Authority Lahore (under the Government of Punjab), Citizens Archives Pakistan, a not-for-profit organization, was selected to curate the project. It is the first digital museum of Pakistan.

Great museum to visit to learn about the history of Pakistan in the 20th century, and especially during the time of Partition. So if you have visited the Lahore fort and Badshahi mosque, this is the next step in time. The young people placed all around the museum are very keen to explain facts to you in a kind and well presented manner. With my sister we really enjoyed the VR train wagon experience as well as the "Camera from the Past" area where you can take a picture with the founding people of Pakistan. It's really funny seeing your face next to Qaid Azam's on a black and white picture. I enjoyed how creative and playful the museum was and will be taking more friends and relatives. By the way, the museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday (NOT closed on Sunday as it shows on some websites) and during Ramzan the timings are shorter but the open days are the same.

I visited the place with my wife and kids. We all enjoyed it a lot. It was an amazing experience. Interactive gadgets are placed in each section of the museum like headphones, touchscreens and speakers. Visitors can watch and listen to speeches and interviews of different dignitaries who participated in the formation / development of Pakistan.
