Recently been here, nice place with great ambience and definitely the food was good too.Very polite and hosipitable staff. Anyone who want to visit Nepal this is the best place to stay , you can taste the best Indian dishes here . The best rooftop garden to chill with friends , Rooms are very big and they maintain very hygienic. One of the best Indian hotel in Nepal with reasonable prices .

My friend & I stayed here for 3 nights after our ABC trekking. The staff were very friendly and willing to assist on anything we requested, especially Mr Ravi (owner) himself. My Ravi recommended and gave good tips and advice on the places to visit and followed by Mr Manish arranging for very good driver who drove us to these great sites in Kathmandu. The location of this hotel is in the heart of Thamel, making it is easy to access to food, shopping, transport and everything that tourists need. One thing that we can't forget till now is the superb breakfast prepared by Mr Ravi and the team for us, that's the Indian breakfast, tosai. I would certainly stay in this hotel during my future Kathmandu visits. The price is very reasonable for the wonderful location, clean rooms and the exceptional service. Thank you everyone @ Royal Kings Hotel for making our stay a great one.

The hospitality provided by Ravi was amazing. A good hotel with many improvements in the pipe line, such as a rooftop bar!

Stayed 3 nights at Royal King while on our Nepal Tour. Overall experience was not as expected. The main issue was with the facilities in rooms. They are bit old and not that much clean. Washroom was also outdated & not functioning well. Need to wait around 10 mins to start hot water. Location was quite accessible to any area of Themel. Service was quite good but they charged us unacceptable change for late checkout even though we booked 3 nights & actually we were there only two nights.

This hotel building is close to a pub/bar which play loud music in evening. Kindly be aware of it. This is not quite location. Reception is welcoming. Hotel rooms are decent but requires cleaning.

Best accommodation in satghumpti thamel kathmandu.

I went on Christmas Eve. They had Christmas offer with chicken biryani with wine and breakfast. Breakfast was good but chicken biryani is worst. It even doesn't look like biryani. It looks like rice with chicken on top. Also the rice is not so cooked. I have tasted some and remaining were thrown. Now talking about hot water, no hot water in the morning. I forgot to take pictures of chicken biryani otherwise I will put here.

The room is rated 4 star on Agoda. It is not worth 1 star. The rooms have odour. The bathroom windows are broken. There is leakage from shower and commode in washroom. Very low quality and dirty taps are fitted. The beds are noisy and the even worst was the towel set - smelly and dirty. The room is very small and the breakfast had stale bread and the utensils used were not washed. The aloo Paratha was very spicy and took them 50 mins to get back with order of just 3 aloo Paratha. No tv in room.

Excellent hotel right in the center of Thamel. Excellent breakfast, very nice and attentive new management. They helped us with everything, whenever they had a cup of tea. They borrowed their laptop to make check in, printed out our boarding pass. We enjoyed sitting on the roof terrace. 100% I recommend, on our next visit to Nepal we will stay here again. Thanks again for everything.

Conveniently located at Thamel where you can explore Kathmandu. The hotel needs to have more thorough cleaning of the rooms and bathrooms though. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
