i dreamed of going to Nepal for 15 years. for different reasons i coudn't go. i had my 60th birthday and knowing my knees and my back weren't the best to go to Annapurna, decided to contact Govinda to have a tour of the Kathmandu area and then to go Chit-wan, Pokara and Lumbini. We arrived to the airport where we were met by Govinda and Uttam, who was our driver the hole tour. The day after we meet Krishna our guide tour. i want to commend Krishna for his knowledge, He is a superb guide, and knows so much of he life and the history of the country that is a pleasure to hear him. The drive around the sites and the good disposition of Uttam helped us a lot, as we weren't accustomed to walk long. It must be noted that the roads in Nepal aren't easy, as all is under construction and the distances are tremendous. Sometimes Uttam will drive for 6 or 7 hours. Regarding the hotel where we were, they were good, specially the one in Kathmandu, as it was near Tamil market. My recommendation to someone doing this trip will be to go Chit-wan, and Pokara. Lumbini is beautiful but its a city to see well enough on one day and leave very early evening to arrive in Pokara at night. I had the pleasure of seeing the sunrise over the Himalayan mountains, waked up at 4 am and went with Uttam and Krishna to the top of Sangarok. This was for me the real Nepal that i wanted to see, I wish i could come back again for a short trip on the mountains. To experience a little bit of how it feels to do a trek. I think i shoud have requested one day more in Pokara to do a small trek to the nearest villages closer to the mountains - may be next time? I will recommend the ADVENTURE PILGRIMS TREK to friends and acquaintances, and will recommend too the tour guide Krishna Pandta to whomever is going to Nepal.

“One trek is never the same as others,” noted Govinda Panta, the director of Adventure Pilgrims Trekking, as we talked—or perhaps it was Himal, my guide, who said it. Whatever the source, this comment on the original quality of every trek to Annapurna Base Camp was borne out in the next few days, as I was reminded of it time and again when thinking, “This is new. This is unplanned.” Scary, thrilling, wonderful, and new. And I was lucky to be in the care of trekking experts who knew exactly what to do to guide us through that newness, the twists and turns, whether it required a long march in the dark to the next teahouse or quick improvisation and adjustment after discovering that a landslide had taken out a section of trail. Adventure Pilgrims Trekking was all I could ask for in a trekking agency, more than living up to its glowing reputation for client satisfaction. From the pickup at the airport in Kathmandu, through the multiple details of permits, accommodations, meals, etc., to the final sendoff at journey’s end, Govinda and his team provided me with first-rate service. I had arrived in in Nepal during Dasain, the country’s largest festival and a time when bus transport to the trailhead near Pokhara was not possible. Improvising just as he would in the mountains, Govinda hired a 4-wheel-drive vehicle to take us to his family’s home in Gorkha, where I was graciously welcomed and then driven on to Pokhara the next day. Once on the trek, Himal and DP, our porter, were cheerful and attentive, calmly negotiating potential obstacles while giving me the benefit of their deep expertise in the art of mountain trekking. At last we stood in the amphitheater at Annapurna Sanctuary, gazing up at the massed peaks around us. And the next morning, when I stepped out on the terrace at our Machhapuchhare teahouse and looked up at the big shining face of the wide Annapurna massif, I had the same feeling. Unforgettable. With a few days to fill at the end of my stay in Nepal, I was given a personal tour of Kathmandu by Himal—all of it gratis—which put a nice finish on this very satisfying trip.

It was our 3rd trek in Nepal using the services of Adventure Pilgrims Trekking and the 2 founders - brothers Govinda and Krishna Panta. Went to ABC in 2017, EBC in 2019 and Langtang trek in November 22 with them + some cultural visits in Kathmandu/Bhagtapur. It has always been a great experience - good communication pre-trek, everything well organised (internal flights etc), great and caring staff… felt perfectly safe and in good hands with them on our treks. Will definitely be back to another trek with them in the next couple of years.

I have travelled in Nepal several times with Govinda Panta and Adventure Pilgrims Trekking. I know Govinda and all his Family and his Trekking Company for maybe 22 years and have always found them to be 100% reliable, -totally honest and helpful. Now I am almost 81 years of age, so possibly this may be my last trip. Very recently I visited Gorkha, Bandipur, Pokhara, Sarangkot and Nagarkot, including the surrounding areas and Katmandu Valley with Govinda’s Company and Manoj Lamichhane who is one of his Guides. Therefore I can recommend that People of Any age and interest can travel with them in Nepal with complete confidence, and in perfect safety.

Fantastic experience with Krishna as a guide. Everything perfectly organized, including Kathmandu tour. We managed to stay on the initial plan of ascending/descending even if some unexpected events occured. Krishna offered best options and alternatives so we could reach EBC after an epic journey. Definitely recommend their services. Thank you again!

Govinda and Krish Panta are 2 of the best organizers I have ever used. Went with a group of 4 guys, turning 50. Govinda picked us up and toured with us in Kathmandu. Our stay in the new Hotel Lo Mustang was amazing, right in the thick of things in Themal. When we arrived in Lukla, Krish took over. I can't imagine doing this trek with anyone other than Krish as guide. He took great care of us. He knew all of the owners of the tea houses we stayed in. He coordinated nightly to make sure we had the best rooms. And would reserve tables for us. On the trail he was super laid back, while keeping us motivated during the trip. Krish is probably the most conscientious guide on the trail. I highly recommend Govinda, Krish and Adventure Pilgrims.

AMAZING EVEREST BASE CAMP TREK!! What an amazing experience! We (myself and three friends) were in great hands from the moment we arrived in Nepal until we were dropped back at the airport for our return trip home - thanks to our new friends - native Nepalese brothers Govinda and Krishna Panta and their company Adventure Pilgrims Trekking (APT). From the moment we arrived in Nepal (flight landed at 1 AM), we were greeted by the APT team (including Govinda Panta) and taken to our hotel (the Lo Mustang Hotel in Thamel - two thumbs up). We then spent two days exploring Kathmandu - including the Monkey Temple, Durbar Square, the Cremation Ghats, Garden of Dreams and the Narayanhiti Palace Museum, amongst others. On our 3rd day in country, with an early 430AM start - we headed to the airport for our early morning flight to Lukla. APT got us to (and through) the airport without a hitch. Our flight arrived in Lukla before 7am and after a brief stop for tea, we began our trek to EBC. APT's trekking team on our trip, included one of the company's owners - Krishna Panta (as our guide) and two porters. Throughout our trek, Krishna went out of his way to ensure that we had quality accommodations/best rooms available at any given teahouse. He also made sure our food was prepared/delivered on time so that we could maintain morning departure times. Basically - Krishna made sure that anything/everything we needed - be it food/medicine/tea etc. was taken care of. He even arranged a last minute helicopter charter for a close up tour of Mt Everest and the Goyko Lakes region before we began our return trek from EBC. It is clear that APT maintains good relationships with the owners of the teahouses and restaurants along the trekking route. You can easily tell by the interactions/rapport between Krishna and the teahouse owners/operators. Krishna also made sure that we made plenty of time to stop and take pictures along the way so that we had great memories of our trek - even at the moments when we were too tired to take our cameras out of our pockets!! After getting us to EBC and back to Lukla (80 miles all told) - Krishna joined us for our flight back to Kathmandu. We wrapped our trip with a couple of days of relaxing and souvenir buying. Instead of sending us to fend for ourselves in the markets, Govinda and Krishna asked us for a list of the items we wanted. They then proceeded to take us personally to the best/highest quality shops in Thamel where we loaded up on incredible handmade scarves, yak bells, knives etc. Thereafter - being a bit sore from the trek - they took us for massages, sauna, steam room and even brought a gent to our hotel who provided us all with a clean shave with a straight razor - a welcome treat after being out on the trek. Our flight back home departed Kathmandu at 215AM, and the Panta brothers delivered us to the airport a little after 11pm. It was an incredible trip of a lifetime and we could not have been in better, more attentive hands than Govinda and Krishna Panta of Adventure Pilgrims Trekking. I cannot recommend these gentlemen and their company more highly. They are thoughtful, caring locals with great attention to detail and a true to desire to make sure that you have the best time possible in the country they call home.
