Had a great 5 night stay in hotel chhimeki. We stayed in a hostel for our first couple of nights in Kathmandu but had some issues so moved to hotel chhimeki to try and get some peace and quiet! Thankfully it absolutely delivered. It’s on the outskirts of thamel, far enough that it’s nice and quiet but still walkable for everything thamel has to offer. The road it’s situated on is quite busy, not in terms of noise pollution as the hotel is set back enough from it, but it’s busy when you’re walking along it. The rooms are nice, we were on the 3rd floor and it was lovely and quiet. The shower was reliably warm and the beds were comfy. The breakfast was lovely, they made us a bespoke breakfast every morning. The pancakes were really delicious! The staff were all lovely and so friendly. We did a few early morning activities from Kathmandu and the staff readily facilitated that. They lock the gate at night time, we had to call reception to get them to open it when we stayed out past 11pm so just bear that in mind! It’s good though because it shows they prioritise sleep and security! Overall it’s a great place and I’d definitely recommend it for thamel! The hotel also helps out disadvantaged local women, they have some signs up about it. We didn’t know anything about this when we booked but it was great to see they have good intentions and we were happy to be supporting this.

Such a beautiful stay for three nights. The staff were so attentive, kind and accommodating; we were very well taken care of. Breakfast was delicious and they made it completely vegan for us! Our room was clean with big beautiful windows, comfortable beds and new bathroom amenities. Wifi was flawless and air conditioning worked great. We were very impressed and absolutely recommend.

Stayed here multiple times and highly recommend it! Great location (3min walk to Thamel), friendly staff, clean/comfortable rooms. And finally a hotel with actually hot water and great water pressure (like in US) 🙏 Thank you Dev and team!

Excellent hotel with superior service. The owner, Dev, creates a positive atmosphere and his staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is ideal as it's near Thamel and Durbar Square, but just outside of the tourist zone. This gives you peace from both tourists and salespeople. The rooms are relaxing and romantic. If you need anything extra that the hotel doesn't provide, the staff will likely help you get it or point you in the right direction. For a lovely experience where you feel at home with friends, stay at Hotel Chhimeki.

Very clean and affordable Hotel. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. They warm water for showers . Daily cleaning services ! Hotel provides variety of services to make your stay in Nepal, easy, effortless and enjoyable form booking in transportation to hiking, the mountains 😊❤️

Perfectly located just a bit away from the noise of thamel would definitely provide a peaceful cozy environment to have a stay.. Clean beddings and room, peaceful neighborhoods just as its name.. just a perfect stay.. thank you chhimeki for your awesomeness 😊

Rooms are OK as per its tariff. Staffs are friendly specially owner seems pretty helpful. Quite spacious parking as far as it's location concern. I think bathroom shower need to be fixed asap. Good for staying for couple of nights if someone is spending few days in Kathmandu.
