During my stay at Kathmandu found this wonderful restaurant. They're true to their name, seriously they're the best kitchen in Kathmandu. The ambiance is quite nice perfect for family visit. Service is superb, especially the young guy, he is very smart and knows what and how to serve his customers. Tried their Kothey, Momo, Thenthuk, Noodles, Chopsuey, Chilli Chicken even Roti and Egg Curry everything was fresh and delicious. Prices are also reasonable. A must visit place in Thamel Kathmandu.

Great place for listening some western and local music, watch international soccer gamers, have traditional food place at a decent price, some drinks, and formidable customer service from the youngest looking waiter.

I agree that this restaurant is literally β€œThe Best Kathmandu Kitchen” Banana lassi was amazing, so i ordered fruit lassi as well. Sweet and chili buff momo was good spicy and crispy. And it was my first time to try Thentuk and it became my fav nepali food. Staff was very kind and nice as well.

Not the best dal bhat but other good dishes. Dal bhat was a bit disappointing, cold spinach, no sizzling butter and only rice refill. There are much better ones in the area. Paneer chili was good. Fried chicken had a lot of crust, but was not bad tastewise. Their milk tea on the other hand was a bit tasteless. Service was very friendly.

The staff was friendly. French fries were freshly made. Steamed buffalo momos were spicy so it was a good combination to drink beer.

I've been here twice now and it's fab! Staff is polite, environment is clean but the fooooooood. So good. I get my little pot of masala tea and choose 2 Indian dishes with roti and I'm in heaven. Today I had mushroom curry and palak paneer. I came back bc the aloo gobi masala I had earlier this week was so delicious!

Upstairs with tables by windows, lovely staff, attentive waiter, and many options on menu. Delicious and generous portions - had one nepali breakfast and one continental, both good. The first time I've found cold milk for cornflakes! That was a treat for me. Fluffy tibetan bread, and a nice strong, big pot of milk tea. Glad we found this place today!

This is by far the best food I had in Nepal! The restaurant is quite inconspicuous, looks very humble, but this drives the prices to a very attractive level. And then there is THE food! Absolutely amazing momos, paneer in all shapes and sizes, amazing salads, meats and deserts. I visited this place for a few times already and it will be the only place I will be eating in till I leave!

A good Nepali restaurant, with good tasting paneer butter masala and papad masala. We had the idea the roti's were not freshly baked. Only downside was perhaps that they had the TV on quite loud with soccer. The prices are very competitive and the staff is very friendly.

One of the best places we have eaten in Nepal! We came here before our trek and after cus it was so good. Really nice traditional Nepali food, lots of choice, all super tasty and very good prices and portions. The wee lads who serve you are delightful but be careful they'll keep asking you if you want more beer when you're only half finished!

Great value restaurant in the heart of Thamel. The chicken sizzler was beautiful and the paneer butter masala was tasty with a bit of spice. Excellent service, would recommend. Thank you. The only improvement would be a greater selection of starters.

The food is authentic Nepali with the traditional mild flavors which is an acquired taste for sure, and might not be for someone with a masala-oriented north Indian palate. The atmosphere of the place is unlike you see anywhere else in India with an old-school common floor seating (along with the regular tables) where you can smoke up and play a game of cards.

Probably best sizzler in thamel delicious food with resonable price .also there large tv there.

This used to be a very good place to eat. Not today. I had the paneer butter masala. It was absolutely tasteless. Actually it tasted a lot like cigarette smoke since everyone around me was smoking.

I tried chop suey, tofu and black beens. The beens were very spicy, I never tried out this dish but for me it was just doing ok, the masala tea was good, but nothing really surprised me seriously, for me average.

We had a forgettable experience with bad food and average service. Myself and my friend had went there for dinner on 11/11. Ordered peanut masala, chilli chicken, mixed veg curry and chicken curry meal..unfortunately almost all the items were terrible..the peanut masala was very spicy with lots of chillies added. The chilli chicken was passable..as was the chicken curry..the rotis came along with the curries were dry..the worst was the mix veg curry which was full of tamarind .we could not have that and we had to leave without having the main course..they did offer to change the mic veg curry which we did not take going by other dishes and the changeover likely not having much change...
