My husband and I ate here last night and I would very highly recommend! It feels like a really sweet family owned place, staff are really friendly/polite and I could see the lovely lady cooking our food in the back kitchen. We were extremely happy with the food and it was clearly all cooked freshly to order. If you’re looking for somewhere very budget friendly with a great range of options and friendly service - please go here!! Thanks legendary team - you certainly lived up to your name 😊

The fried mo:mo is easily the best I've ever tried! This tiny eatery is run by a friendly family, please go and try it for yourself. Tasty and reasonably priced. I'll be back😄

This is the best place I've been so far! Run by a family they cook amazingly delicious food which is beautifully served (even better than on the pictures) and it's very budget. Usually I like trying different places, but this time I just ate there all the time trying different food. It's really worth to try.

Okay’ish interior and not that far from most places, still in Thamel. Little difficult to find maybe but it’s alright.

We had all our breakfasts during our stay in kathmandu and it was amazing. Super good quality and great prices. The nepalise set, the pancake and the frenchtoasts were so so tasty. The dough was homemade and the flavor was great. Specially the pancake is maybe one of the best I've ever had, very fluffy, we added some other fruits like mango and pomegranate and it was to die for. Also the family running it are lovely. Also the bathroom is very clean :) You must come here

This restaurant is amazing!! The owners are very warm and kind, the prices very cheap and the food delicious and a lot! Buffalo momos and apple crumble is a must to try if you come here. Also, if you are tired of expensive 'set breakfast' with small portions come here, you will start your day full of energy and a happy wallet! If you want to it food make with real love and reasonable prices this is your place. :)

Favorite restaurant in Thamel. Everywhere has vegetarian options in Kathmandu but this place goes above and beyond to make sure our dishes are vegan. After talking with the beautiful family who owns this place it is evident that they take such pride in their food. They don't cut corners for price or convenience, they just do everything right. You may have a little bit of a wait while they make your food to perfection because every dish is perfect as a point of pride to them. They are friendly and fun as well. Have a seat, talk with them for a moment. Enjoy legendary food. The cost is very reasonable by Nepali standards. About 250rs per plate. Awesome

Lovely place in downtown Thamel with very friendly waiter and cook. I was the only one there at that moment, but it still took some time to get the food. Got a chicken thalil which was awesome, together with some fried momos— a little to oily for me, but still had a great taste! The food was accompanied by a great banana lassi, that was on the sweet side. But service was top!

Fresh and delicious food, generous portions and quite cheap. I had the vegetable momos with veg on top and the Nepali Breakfast Set (eggs your style, mix of beans and buckwheat pancake). Highly recommend!

The ONLY place I eat in Thamel. I have been coming here for 4 years. You can get momos anywhere but have you tried crunchy fried momos? You MUST try theirs and their Thupka is amazing as well!!! Family owned and some of my favorite people in Nepal:)

This place is my best find in Kathmandu. I came here last night and I’m sat here again tonight. For those looking for a local authentic meal in Kathmandu, you HAVE TO COME HERE. It seems to be run by a lovely family. I had thukpa and my friend had curry and paratha and both were absolutely divine. I am so glad I found this place at the beginning of my trip as there is absolutely no doubt I’ll be back 👋. Update : see 4 meals as proof of coming here 4 days in a row!! Do not miss it

We were looking for places around Thamel, Kathmandu where we could get good local fare. And this place had great ratings. So we sought it out. It looked so unassuming and was quite hidden so we had our reservations. But we decided to take a chance AND WERE REWARDED HANDSOMELY. The momos were some of the BEST i’d had on this trip (actually, maybe THE best). They were fresh and piping hot (one chef only, it seems). We got the fried chicken one and the steamed buff one. Out of this world. The grilled paneer was so good we ordered seconds. We also got a mushroom soup (not pictured here coz we finished it before I remembered to take a pic but it came with bread to dip!!) and a Nepali Thali (we ordered chicken) which was as good as hotel-standard (we had a Nepali Thali at our hotel a few days prior). The damage? 1500rps altogether… that’s like SGD15 or USD11. What even?????? We were so FULL and SATISFIED. Will definitely return.

Amazing food and service for a great price. The power was out in Kathmandu so we had a dinner under candle light and everything was delicious!!

Summary: Ok, average, very much tolerable, nothing exceptional, standard, alright, admissible, fairish. That being said owner was very nice and generous.

We had the BEST Nepali food here, even better that it’s family owned and home-cooked. I was doubtful when I entered the restaurant (we had an early dinner and it was relatively empty) but the first taste of the mushroom soup told us that the meal was going to be darn good. We had grilled paneer (so good we ordered an additional plate), mushroom soup, steamed buff momo, fried chicken momo and chicken thali set. Every dish was so good and we swore to post reviews so that more folks know of this humble place. Definitely recommend for folks to visit if you’re in Kathmandu!

Not worth it, the veg soup was super salty with almost no veggies, french fries not worth the price and dal bhat we had better and cheaper in many other places.. maybe this place is better known for other dishes

The nepali breakfast is really good here. They serve it with some kind of homemade bread. We loved it!

One of the best quality family run restaurants in kathmandu, mama is an outstanding cook, very affordable prices, they have now a bigger place with fast wifi, upstairs deck, it took me no time to find them.

Delicious home made Nepali food. Thukpa is outstanding. We've been here 4 times during our stay in Kathmandu and highly recommend it. Super clean and a lovely family atmosphere.

We walked in yesterday and had Chownein with veg MoMo on the top and milk masala tea! Loved both! Staff are so attentive to details and make the food taste so delicious! Best MoMo I have eaten so far in Nepal! Thanks, chef!

The best food in Kathmandu....freshly made, big portions and quality food that makes you coming back for more. We enjoyed the Nepali Breakfast and the Thali sets...although we were tempted to eat more with the large range on offer. The chai was the biggest serving we have had in both India and Nepal, loved it! A family run business that is run with care, considerations and customer service at the heart of it. Thank you Lama and family, we will be returning.

This place is so hard to find, you have to go down a side alley, ask a local if you’re lost! But it’s definitely worth it, the momos were delicious!

I ate here several times, each time ordering something different, and was amazed each time! The family is really sweet. The menu has a wide variety and priced reasonably (around 250 rupees for a meal)👍👍👍
