Great portion and value for money on menu. The sizzler here is a absolute knockout dish! Fresh ingredients, portion and creamy gravy makes it a star order of almost everyone who visits Sam’s tree. Amazing food tied with lively ambience!

I love the vibe here. They have a diverse menu suitable for any palette. The service is good and fast. I am big fan of the sizzler here, I feel they have got the best in town. However, the last time I was served with cold sizzler and when adding the sauce it didnt even sizzle which is the whole point. So I guess the service quality is dropping and I suggest them to improve it. The fried wantons here are a must try too. The hygiene and cleanliness is well maintained from the tables to the washroom. The place is a bit on the higher end in terms of price.

Beautiful place with open air underneath tree. Good food and service. Very good location. One star less for giving bottled water almost on expiry and 11 months old.

The ambience of the place is inviting and open 🤗 Once you enter, you get a massive open space feeling (it is as well). And there is actually a massive tree 🌲 inside the cafe. You have 3 different decks, one having bar area 🍾, other family area 👨‍👩‍👧‍👧 and last one is open area 🤷‍♂️ The service is prompt and most of the waiters here are differently abled but they are more than able to understand you and get your orders and help you. THANKS to Management team for hiring them and giving jobs🙏🙏 The food is tasty and fresh a bit (ahem) on a pricey 💰💰💰side with service charge and VAT🤦‍♂️ All in all a good experience. 👌

Excellent place to hang out. Very beautiful ambience. The restaurant is built surrounding one big Banyan tree. The concept is great. For food I will give 3.5 star as food is very expensive but the taste is good.

The ambience is beautiful. Most of the staffs here are hearing-impaired, polite and really helpful. The price range is a bit expensive but really worth it.

I just had wonderful dinner there. With lots to choose from and ambiance to sit back and relax. I recommend this place for anyone who want to spend quite family time with good food.

Good cafe in Durbar Marg, Kathmandu. We tried the Newari Platter and Momos. The taste was good.

It was not just the food that I liked about this restaurant; they have servers who are deaf but all of them do their job perfectly. I have to praise the management for providing employment to those people. I think other restaurants should learn from this place. Aside from that, I really the interior of the place. It is exactly as the nam suggests. There is a giant tree inside the restaurant. The food was also great. The prices are decent and you need to pay service charge. Water is free. You can pay with cash, card, or use digital payment. Highly recommended.

Great place for family dinner and for friends catch up. Tuesday evening was fully occupied, quite diverse ranged menu and good value for money. Service staff were amazing. People Smoking im the middle of dinning and sitting area was however quite disappointing.

Everything was great about this place. Staff are super nice, place has good ambience, and it is clean. The price are in the higher end, but the food is awesome. The portion of the meal is also good. I would definitely recommend this place.

The food service was surprisingly fast and tasty. They do keep their customer satisfaction on high priority experiencing from the quick response from their staff. The price is however on the higher side, obvious for the location and the service quality they provide. Would love to visit again.

The restaurant was not fully opened due to lockdown, only few tables were available. We order spaghetti, steam momo and spicy chicken pizza with mocktail. Everything was delicious and well served.

Great food, I ordered a spaghetti carbonara and a chicken sizzler and a few smoothies. The smoothies were ok, but the spaghetti was to die for (was the perfect amount of creamy), absolutely perfect and the sizzler was so so good. 9/10 would recommend.

I would say this is a good continental restaurant, which has been around for as long as I remember, rebranded with a different name. The taste of the food has been consistent. Service is good. Its really nice they have employed specially abled people. Thumbs up to that. I asked for kothey momo, but got fried momos instead, which was good but I didn't like the sauce, it was only the hot chilli sauce and not the nanglos trademark momo sauce. The pizza was a typical nepali pizza, but the pepperoni toppings were a bit odd, it was sausage sized slices, definitely weird. But the cheese was generous. The sizzler was OK, I was dissappointed that they didn't give me extra sauce. It's kind of sad how they were asking for last order at 9:30pm on a Friday night.

Located on the main road, great location. Big and airy space with comfortable seating arrangement. Amazing staff. Great service. Loved the food and the quantity.

The old Nanglo memories stays alive here. Some old familiar faces too. Soup both Hot &sour and cream of chicken was delicious.kids liked the Hawaian pizza and so did i. Wished the dough could be a little thinner. Crispy chicken, momos especially Tibetean are my all time favorite. Wished they had better ice-cream.2

It is suitable for friends and family gathering. The food is really good. We really feel good for the deaf staffs because they are supported by the cafe. We went there several times for lunch and dinner simply for this reason to give them support despite of many options in Durbar marg. I highly recommend this cafe.

Wonderful experience here at Sam's, no wonder the place is usually crowded. We ordered mutton sekuwa, smoked chicken pizza, Nepali rice set, mo:mo and wantan. I really liked the taste of the foods here. They, however served us buff mo:mo when we ordered a chicken. Service is good, ambience is wonderful and food is good.

Service people were really polite and comfortable to talk with. I'll recommend the spaghetti as they have it best made. It's a family place also great for friends gathering plans. Prices are a bit higher than usual but the food is worth your money. Good quality and freshly made🌸

DONT go to SAM’s if u r vegetarian / vegan. I asked for vegetarian noodles and the manager / head waiter said that he cannot guarantee that the noodles didn’t have any egg it it. Finally I ordered a “grilled” cheese sandwich. The bread was like cardboard and the cheese was tasteless and the cucumber that came with the sandwich was bitter !! . Come on l, when u r charging 1000 NPR for a sandwich least u can do it grill it properly! The head waiter who took our order was so obnoxious when I suggested that they should keep some egg free noodles in case some customer requests it. He said may b one customer might request it per month. So?? Should they not cater to all types the customers? Terrible!! Deeply disappointing 😡

a bustling eatery with a chill environment. The sizzler, which is served with noodles, sautéed vegetables, and incredibly tender chicken, is a must-try. Although a tad salty, the lasagna wasn't all that bad. The pizza was topped with chicken and cheese and had a thin, crispy crust. Speaking of the beverage, it wasn't worth it, and I would not suggest ordering any fancy cocktails there. Enjoyed the fantastic service and delicious meals overall.

Sukuti was great, momos were just okay for me. Really nice ambiance and the social mission of the restaurant makes it very awesome.

Ambience is great. However, I found out that food is not consistent in taste. Maybe a one off thing because it never happened before.

Good environment for casual hangout ...food not so good ... waiters are responsive and helpfull and are unable to speak and hear... spacious seating arrangements in this time.

A nice restaurant at the heart of Kathmandu City Durbarmarga. Well arranged. Roadside view tables are wonderful at evening. Foods are just ok. Recommended for coffee time with friends and with beloved one. Not for good food and drinks.
