It's a nice Vegetarian restaurant in the heart of Kathmandu which is easily accessible. Food is good but Big NO to BIRYANI if you looking for authentic taste. I felt like eating mixed curry rice. Also do not seat at the front entry table sides as waiters are less likely to attend the part.

After eating the north Indian famous chole bhature you do CRAVE FOR SWWEEETS and this place has the best sweets. I loved their jallebies, rasmalai, motichur laddu, Kaju katli.

Before I start this review, I have to admit one thing. I am not an expert on Indian cuisine. The only authentic Indian food that I had ever really had were Biryani and a few Naan curries here and there, so I'm not really one to be the best judge of authenticity to variations of Indian style cuisine in Nepal and India. What I can talk about is the quality of food. The taste of food, the way it sates my appetite and the way good food always keeps me in a good food. That's the type of food Gulab has in offer. Some of the most zesty, appetising and satisfying food that I have ever had in my recent memories. Timely service always gets a bonus.

The service standard is good. People can easily get good food in a time. The rate is reasonable too and i hope so people can enjoy easily.

We had a dosa and paneer kathi roll ...they tasted horrible.. I never had such awful dosa in my life ...Water glass is bit dirty...way too expensive ...For dosa I paid 350 and for one kathi roll i paid 250..the only thing i loved is long stick kulfi which cost around 100+

Gulab is considered one of the best restaurants for Indian sweets & snacks, has a number of branches in Kathmandu too. The chola batura & lassi is good, as one enters setting is great but once you visit the washroom you will wish you had NEVER STEPPED IN. As one says how you keep your kitchen and washroom talks loads about your business. Please Gulab walo… check your washroom * DIRTY with no locks, no handles, once you lock one cannot OPEN the bathroom door & you get PANICK ATTACK… it is a DISASTER… to see all the restaurant soiled plates LYING near the washroom doors. Common guys WAKE UP & check all these nitty gritty… HEALTH & HYGIENE are very IMPORTANT even to a LAYMAN… Never ever going in there AGAIN😡🥶😡and above all my brother used the tap and all his pant became WET … check the picture 🙏 PLEASE

Always a favorite for traditional Indian flavors in Kathmandu. Good selection of north Indian and limited South Indian options. This is a vegetarian restaurant that does not serve eggs but does have a large dairy based items.

Probably the biggest vegetarian and sweets restaurant in Nepal. You have to order and pay first here. Everything we tried here didn't taste even average. Everything was so bland in taste. Their Special dishes are not so special. Price is very considering the quality and taste of food they offer. And if you happen to go there please have a peek at their Kitchen. You will leave without ordering. Avoid it.

Known for setting a standard of excellence in sweet quality, has, surprisingly, fallen short of past expectations. Despite this, there's hope that Gulab will work towards restoring its reputation for top-notch sweets in the valley.

the food here is nice. and the service is good. the ambiance is okay, not too great. the price seems to be a bit expensive for the food, but you wouldnt care much as all food and sweet items we tried tasted good. You get free parking for both car and motorcycle.

Good for sweets and grabbing a vegetarian snack. Varieties of sweets available. Sitting arrangements is good. Spacious place. Staff behavior is nice. There is 3 counters one is for sweets another for Vegetarian Snacks and one for Ice Cream. Different types of soft drinks are also served. I have tried the Grilled Cheese sandwich which was good.

What to say this is one of few places where we can really fulfill our hunger of missing delicious Indian vegetarian foods with authentic south Indian foods. Excellent sitting arrangements with fast service and also has many sweet items to choose from.

Noisy Owner. Ample of space. Service was fast. Generous enough while adding spices to curry and samosa chat which was not needed though.

😐 It's an all vegetarian restaurant serving Indian delicacies and sweets. The food was on point. The jalebi here is my favorite since childhood. The Chhole Bhature was as good. The samosa Chaat was decent but definitely not upto the mark. The staff are not friendly or well behaved. And the washroom w...
