Used to go to Mitho every day while I stayed in nearby hotel, last month. Wondeful, high standard and very well managed restaurant. Staff are lovely. They serve very good coffee. Also tried many different dishes and loved them all. Freshly made mango and water melone juices are fantastic too. I can highly recommend this place.

Great, must-visit place in KTM. Fun and excellent staff, lots of yummy choices for food and drink, wonderful atmosphere with really great plate and glassware, all the touches of a perfect place to eat!

I've been here multiple times. I always have the peach ice tea. And they probably have the best brownies in town and maybe the cheapest too (RS 200). I was very impressed with their apple pie. Coffee is good. The small terrace is a nice place to sit. The ambience is nice and they play good music. What I love about the pizza here is that they add loads of cheese, unlike most pizzerias in ktm. The roll and sizzler is also good. Momo was a bit dry. Overall a good place to hang out. Staff are very friendly. Bathroom is clean.

Had their hummus roll and smoothie bowl, one of the best we had in Thamel. The momos were also really good! Don’t forget to try the brownies. We even ordered take away for our flight back to India

The location is really good and most of the time it is crowded. I loved the food I ordered: Tandoori Paneer. Orange juice was not bad. But there were some insects and flies which I didn't like, especially a small cockroach wandering around my table. But they have also another floor with balcony which I asse worth trying.

During my 5 weeks in Kathmandu this was one of only 2 restaurants that I returned to (the other is Yala) and each time was better than the last. Great food, service, prices, atmosphere, and my favorite part - a dry red wine at a reasonable price per glass, a rarity in Nepal.

I used to come here often but today when they brought out the chicken, it was still raw on the inside. When I showed them that it was raw, they took the chicken back into the kitchen and when it came back out, they just threw out the pieces of chicken that were raw without replacing the pieces, and it was so deep fried that much of it was black and I couldn’t even cut through it with a knife. This was supposed to be the tandoori chicken dish but after it came back out it is not like tandoori chicken at all. And if you normally order it, it comes with ~7 sizeable pieces including pieces of thigh but when it came back out, it was only 5 small pieces with no pieces of thigh. When I asked, they said the meat just shrunk when frying it. 🙄

Lovely little restaurant, crammed inbetween Appartment buildings but don't let that fool you. They have a Mainfloor and a 1st floor, where you can sit. Enjoy the welcoming abiance and indulge into tasty food. Its safe to eat, for foreigners and you will want to come back for sure. Be open and go for local or indian food, it may be a little more than avarage spicy if you are not used to it but the flavors still kick off, just wow! Be aware, the portions are quite big, if you ain't a big eater be sure to bring along some friends and share different meals. Sharing is welcome and we were told (by our waiter) a very Nepali thing to do over here 😁 Its located on: JP Road 243, Chhetrapati/Thamel, Kathmandu 44600 Be sure to hit em up and enjoy, just as much as we did tonight. We will be back tomorrow to eat some more 😋😉😁

Loved the carrot, banana and nuts smoothie bowl - it actually came in an attractive bowl. The star anise mint tea was too good. Would strongly recommend eating at this place.

Had the kebab as recommended by the server and it did not disappoint! The serving is huge and meat packed with flavours. Love the ginger honey tea too. Very refreshing.

Mitho restaurant is the best restaurant in Kathmandu. Mitho the owner and the chef is running this magic place with his wife. I met Mitho on 2012 at his old place. From the first time I realized that he has a magic touch for food. At that time I published a review on TripAdvisor saying Mitho Restaurant is No. 1 in Kathmandu no question about that. Now in the new Mitho place I can say that that Mitho is preparing the best food you can find in Kathmandu in high quality in reasonable prices. We spent 10 days in Kathmandu - ONLY eating in Mitho restaurant.

Due to COVID, this usually busy place looked empty. However, the service and food was nice. Several places around this area serves same type of cuisine but have to say Mitho served better portion. The continental breakfast was served with generous amount of potato and greens. Coffee was good. Music was good. Overall, enjoyed the food, service and reasonable price.

Had Nepali Kwati soup, flat rice noodles and beet root juice. Food was amazingly tasty and the staff was so good...they customised noodles according to my instructions and taste. Loved the ambience too.

The restaurant Mitho is situated in the south end of Thamel area so not that noisy and bustling than the heart of Thamel. The restaurant is often full of foreign tourists. I believe it is a quite well-known. No wonder because the meals they serve are nicely prepared and delicious as well as good looking. Prices are moderate, not that high as you can find in the Thamel center. I believe this place is worth of visit. I had there several lunches and dinners.

This restaurant is soooo good. We had hummus, Buddha bowl and Nepali dal bath. First quantity are huge. Second, food is really good. Third, very friendly staff with vegan options available. Don’t miss it when you come to Kathmandu

The best coffee I had in Kathmandu. Went to Rise and Grind next door first cause it was recommended, but this place actually beat their coffee (and they serve it with a piece of their yummy brownie!). Really nice and friendly staff and the brekky is good too. Be prepared for big meals! I ordered both the muesli bowl and a pancake which was way too much for one person. Would highly recommend :)

Came here a couple of times and loved the food and coffee! However, I did get sick after one time, and I suspect the ice cubes in a cocktail to be the reason. Beware of that, but surely a must-visit in Thamel!

Loved Mitho! We came here twice during our 3 day stay in Kathmandu for breakfast. Very creative and delicious menu — great variety of fusion, local, and foreign food. Got the muesli bowls, choco/peanut butter bowls, multiple fruit juices and the tandoor wrap — all delicious!

I like this place. Out of so many amazing cafes and coffee shops in Kathmandu, I always return here. I just get what I want and what I like for a fair price.

Mitho Cafe Restro on the J.P. Road at Thamel, Kathmandu is over-hyped to my mind. My stay this time was at a nearby hotel and I decidedly slipped into this cafe Restro last evening being enchanted by the ambiance, honestly. Looked like a semi-dark cosy place with small, neat cane-made chandeliers...you can have snacks with some chilled beer, or hard drinks. You can go for lunch, or dinner, or even just a glass of mocktails to enjoy some chitchat. A decent dinner for two with mocktails will cost you 2000 NPR, which is approximately Rs.1250. Fair enough! But the quality of food is not that great compared to the price. If you go for hard drinks the cost will be relatively higher. Definitely not recommended.

Good food and nice place, but unfortunately local people smoking on the terrace and the smoke gets inside… Hard to enjoy the delicious food with the smell of cigarettes :-/

I came here 3 or 4 times, mostly for the relaxed ambiance. As for the food, it's a mix: Palak paneer: very bland Green mint and ginger drink: OK Chocolate peanut butter smoothie bowl: good (the raisins were crazy hard) Honey ginger tea: very good Turmeric tea: very good Yak cheese and cashew salad: excellent Brownies: excellent The waiters are prompt and enthusiastic.

The overall experience is good and food is okayish . Most of the Nepali English breakfast joints don't know how to make hash browns and they just give you sauted potatoes. Cofee was good though

Had the Veg MOMO there. The momos themselve were quite nice, filling with cheese/paneer and mostly onions and spinach. The Sause served was not my thing, to much curry for my taste. Plus point was that they added a small salad with dressing on the plate. Service and ambient is ok, nothing exceptional but Nepalese Standart in thamel.

The place has a cool vibe. We ordered apple mint cucumber, banana chocolate smoothie, chicken wrap and kashmiri crepe. Banana chocolate smoothie was good and so was crepe. The wrap lacked punch but my kid liked it, so yeah. Both wrap and crepe were filling and light.
