This is a brilliant man made marvel. Climbing up was fun, the breath of greenery and coolnes in the wind... At the top, you get to over look the colorful buildings of Nepal and on anther side, mountain tops that makes the whole of Nepal God made wonder.. Trinket shops, paintings and all sorts of places to get things that are one of a kind since they'll be purchased at the top of this temple. Multiple exit points to take good pictures with brilliant backgrounds. This is one good place to visit. Don't worry about the monkeys, they mostly move aside when they see you walk by while some just go about their businesses.

If you are going to visit Swoyambhu, you will see this place first. It is beautiful and houses huge statues of Buddha, Padmasambhava, and Avalokiteshvara. These statues are the main attraction of this place. There is also a small pond like structure with Buddha, and visitors throw coins in the pond. You can walk around the statues while moving the prayer wheels installed there. Highly recommended.

A must visit tourist place in Kathmandu. There are three giant statues of buddha in different moods. You will feel peace and refreshing when you are there. At the main entrance there is a huge Pipal tree maintained for the visitors to sit and take rest. There is a small room for lighting the candles. It has a huge area for visiting. People from the world visit this place.

Amideva Buddha Park features three giant golden statues of Buddha, located near the Monkey Temple. If you like less crowded places to peacefully enjoy a site and it’s surroundings. The Park in Kathmandu is the site of the largest Buddha statue in Nepal at 67 feet, and also two other Buddhas at 64 feet each.

Very nice place with a serene environment . You can go there and relax with friends and family . Learn about religious and ancient practice that has been carried out since ancient times. You can get panorama view of Kathmandu from the top of the stupa. You can see many rare statue, hand made items and stone scripture of god and goddesses. You can go down to watch the view and relax with less sound.

Find peace and prayers on the little hillock of Swaymbhunath in the northwest of Kathmandu Valley. Visitors for whom the name was a tongue twister have called it "Monkey Temple" from the 1970s. Swayambhu, overlooks most parts of the valley giving visitors a panoramic view of the city. The stupa has stood as a hallmark of faith and harmony for centuries with Hindu temples and deities incorporated in this Buddhist site. The glory of Kathmandu Valley is said to have started from this point.

Out of the town..feels like a new place (my perception)..that cool breeze and the view of whole Kathmandu was just wow..I was literally wondering where is my building Haha... there's a pond (man-made) with lots of people throwing coins, believing that if it will reach in the box (inside the pond) your wishes are said to be fulfilled..and the flags fluttering overhead of swoyambhunath is incredibly wow wow.. I feel like (you may feel)no striction , just a flying jatt.. Monkeys over there became my friend😹..the beautiful pain by longg ladder .(a good exercise ) can't deny ..peace and compassion in the pair of eyes , something I just think how much our ancestors use to be fond of arts and architecture .. Every temple is coated with such a evergreen arts ..oh god ..I AM BLESSED IN NEPAL ..MY MOTHERLAND

A few mins walk from the Swyambhunath Stupa. This Buddha park is a little bit bigger than the other Buddha park. Nice place however quite crowded.

Swayambhunath is the oldest religious site in Nepal which lies in the northwest part of Kathmandu valley (the capital city of Nepal). It is also known as Buddha’s temple and monkey temple. It is one of the oldest temples listed as a UNESCO world heritage site. It carries a long history. It is a holy place where mainly Hinduism and Buddhism followers come for worship. Plenty and varieties of trees and plants are found on a hill; due to that reason, the Tibetan name for the site is Sublime Trees. It is located at a high altitude where visitors can see the view of Kathmandu valley and around its site. It can easily be accessible by any means of a vehicle. Anyone can hang out by seeing those beautiful heart-touching panoramic views from the top of a hill.

I truely like this place. Its amazing! Its easy to take a taxi to The Monkey temple. You have to spend some time there. There is a lot of culturel behaviure to explore. Try to find the small cafe shops and enjoy some time only looking around in a peaceful way.

Relatively small park with three big statues of Buddha. As it is next to the bus stop, it is mostly crowded. There are very few to no tourists. Locals flock there to take pictures and create memories. There is a small gift shop at entrance along with some beggars, too.

One of the best places to explore in kathmandu. From here you will get the view of whole kathmandu city. But be careful from the monkeys.Don't keep any edible item or drinking bottles in your hand otherwise it will be looted by monkeys of that place.

A beautiful view from the top. The park is a peaceful and serene place to visit. The place is well-maintained, and the statues are beautifully crafted. The park is a great place to learn about Buddhism, and to experience the culture of Nepal. And a little adventurous for the fat people.

Swyambhunath Stupa in Kathmandu is a fascinating and culturally rich destination. The iconic stupa's architecture and the mesmerizing views of the city make it a must-visit spot. I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the intricate details and prayer flags, immersing myself in the peaceful ambiance. However, it's essential to be prepared for the climb as the steps can be steep. Overall, Swyambhunath is a captivating experience that offers a glimpse into Nepal's spiritual heritage and is definitely worth visiting.

See the whole Kathmandu valley from one spot. Really nice view of the Kathmandu valley. Very peaceful place, but could be not if the monkeys attack. The people should consider keeping the place clean. Not enough dustbin, which leads to people throwing the waste away on the floor, which are taken and eaten by monkeys. Saw a monkey today, eating the cigarette bud. And the cleaning people, pulling the dustbin, on the stairs, from which more waste fell down. Sad to know. Some animals are injured. They must be treated.
