this
extensive
review
based
on
the
amazing
experience
I
had
while
stating
with
Rest
Up
Hostel.
1.
Location
-
Just
across
the
by
lane
from
the
hustling
Thamel
street.
It's
at
a
perfect
distance
to
enjoy
the
streets
without
gettign
disturbed
by
the
chaos
in
the
market
area.
It's
also
walking
distance
from
Ason
market
where
you
can
get
stuff
for
super
cheap
as
compared
to
Thamel
area.
2.
Room
-
I
stayed
in
the
dorm
rooms
which
were
very
well
maintained.
Clean
beds
and
linen
which
and
the
housekeeping
staff
were
also
helpful
for
any
requests.
The
most
important
thing
was
24H
"Proper
Hot
Water".
Saying
"proper"
as
I've
been
in
hostels
which
claim
to
provide
hot
water
but
then
it's
just
warm
at
times
(specially
winters)
as
they
ONLY
have
solar
heaters.
In
Rest
Up,
they
use
gas
geysers
so
no
issue
of
having
a
hot
shower
post
your
tiring
trek!
3.
Food
-
A
simple
but
clean
and
hygienic
kitchen
at
the
rooftop.
4.
People
-
Here
comes
the
USP
of
this
place.
The
team
which
manages
the
hostel
are
some
of
the
best
individuals
I
met
on
my
solo
trip
to
Nepal.

Cheeron

He
is
the
go
to
man
for
any
help
you
need
during
(and
even
after)
your
stay.
He
recommended
superb
places
for
trying
local
cuisine,
shopping
of
jackets
and
souvenir,
local
travel,
offbeat
sightseeing
places,
etc.
He
was
ALWAYS
there
for
any
questions
I
had
and
was
super
helpful.

I
owe
one
to
this
man.
I
wanted
to
go
trekking
but
had
a
very
limited
budget
due
to
last
moment
plan
for
this
trip.
Rajan
is
himself
an
ex-trek
leader
with
almost
a
decade
of
experience
on
almost
all
the
famous
trails
in
Nepal.
He
suggested
me
a
trek,
planned
an
itinerary
and
also
arranged
for
a
guide
at
a
minimal
cost.
Practically,
he
did
not
charge
a
single
penny
from
me
for
HIS
services.
He
just
ensured
that
the
local
guide
(his
family
member)
gets
paid
as
per
the
standard
charges.
Really
appreciate
this
gesture
from
him
to
ensure
that
I
complete
a
trek
while
in
Nepal.
Highly
Recommend
staying
here
if
you
are
in
Kathmandu!
