An excellent hotel with great rooms and fantastic mountain views. The staff are always eager to help. Food is excellent. However the most important is the location. Bang on the junction and on the roas, but very less noise. You cannot miss it.

I visited this hotel. I spent almost 47 days in this hotel I really enjoyed everything the staff, food serving style everything was awesome. So I suggest everyone give them chance to take care of you during your vacations. I also celebrated my marriage reception over here during that period also they guys really take care of me and my all relatives who were there during my party. Especially the staff was pleasant and dedicated to their work. Talking about the breakfast, lunch, and dinner that was also unexpected they really served well and well-sophisticated way. If I will get the chance in the future I will definitely go there. The important thing is the whole staff is bilingual which is very important when anyone visits the unknown places Good job guys! Had very good time, highly recommended place to live in, very handy location. Clean and tidy room. Complimentary comes with breakfast which I enjoyed a lot. it would be less to explain of roof top restaurant with nice and delicious food, very friendly staff member, hospitality team and housekeeping team👍👍

The review is for it’s service in Foreign affairs restaurant basically we booked for new year’s eve we were sitting outdoor then requested a table inside the restaurant, the waiter pointed us another table will be available meantime we could sit on one of the available table that was reserved after 6:30pm. In the middle of our meal the waiter approached us and asked us to move to bar, we were surprised and asked so that another table is available and he said that’s also occupied. I have never seen such absurd behaviour from a staff, firstly they gave our table n asked us to move to bar vert unacceptable behaviour from staff and the manager was not apologetic initially but later said the waiter is new!! A reputed hotel that doesn’t train waitstaff basic manners. Very disappointed:(

The hotel has nice rooms and the service is also okay. Breakfast as well as dinner was pretty good. The only disturbing thing was that only my boyfriend was addressed by the service staff. At check-in, when ordering food, to ask if everything is okay, etc.. That may be the norm in Nepal but as a western female guest who booked and payed for the room, I would like to be addressed opposed to my male companion.

From the smiling crisp salute of the security guard, the smiling welcome of the front desk staff one can feel the comfortable and the hospitality Aura of the hotel.. Service staff throughout the hotel excellent.. rooms are good and spacious. Their Chinese cum Italian restaurant on 9th floor is recommendable... Food delicious with courteous service.. Room service menu and breakfast buffet needs to be improvised for constant international travellers .. I recommend the hotel to all and look forward to more staying

The worst experience of checking into a hotel that allowed guests to throw a party in the room at the side of our suite and then not being able to control the noise they created on the entire floor with music blasting and people talking loudly. Having thin walls, we were awake all night until 5am in the morning until the party ended. A waste of money on a suite when you can't even get to rest or relax. (Let's not forget they forgot to place our dinner order and hence, dinner was delayed too)

I arrived at 5am the guy called samir received me. He said for early check in I have to pay extra. I asked him how much extra he didn't know. After that I asked him if he had plug for my phone charger he mentioned not a good time now. Come during the day. Then I asked about room service breakfast if there is any service charge. He said there is charge but he doesn't know how much. I asked him to find out. He then went and asked another guy. He didn't know either. He said just sleep now and you will find out as there is a menu in your room. Staffs have no clue what they are doing. Later on I called room service even they didn't know the cost for room service. Not knowledgeable at all. Next day two girls were there. I asked them at night to order me a soup as I couldn't eat anything as I was feeling sick. They said it's not our job to order please call 177. I called 177 but my phone wasn't working which is very strange. Reception service is the worst. They need serious training compared to other Ambassador brand around the world. Just disgraceful what had happened. I was starving all night with fever as I couldn't order food. The restaurant diplomate full of flies. My room Toilet was dirty. Had to request to clean it. Even after they clean it, it wasn't good enough. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It's nothing like other Ambassador around the world.

Had a stay at the hotel for 8 days with a complimentary breakfast included. It was clean, comfortable, well-stocked and the staff was courteous and helpful at all times.

This hotel's standards are so high, very clean, very comfortable, large rooms and bathrooms and the staff are fantastic, they'll do what they can for your comfort. The rooms are beautiful. I was here 3 times and the last time I was upgraded to a deluxe room for free, it was luxurious. If I'd go back to Kathmandu I'd come back to the Ambassador without hesitation.

Hotel Ambassador was the perfect base for my partner and I as we explored Kathmandu. The rooms were extremely clean and modern. Just a 10 minute walk from Thamel and plenty of surrounding restaurants to try! The staff were very professional and helpful which was an added bonus. Included buffet breakfast also a fantastic start to the day! Plus you need to check out the rooftop bar, it’s got a great vibe, food, drinks and an amazing view of the city.

I have been staying at hotel Ambassador every time I visit Kathmandu. It is walking distance from Thamel and food joints as well. The rooms are great and the staff is very warm and helpful.

Had an extremely pleasant stay. Very accommodating staff and the breakfast was great. Also loved the restaurants and especially the bakery, La Mari.

I went there for a PUBG event and could not visit the hotel room or got to review inside but there was a small dining/meeting room kind of thing at 1st floor and was really great. A huge Balcony was also there right outside the room to take the view of busy Lazimpat road and enjoy your meal.

Great view from the roof bar. A bit of confusion in the lift to get to the roof bar, as signage doesn’t say roof bar. Great view. Big place but only one server. The House Red was 86 and I was offered to try the House White.

Excellent location, nice restaurants and shopping areas within walking distance. Nice and super clean rooms with all amenities required for a business traveller. Delicious meals and super customer service. Highly recommended for business travel (and I presume for vacation with families as well).

Terrible service and food. I came for lunch, and the staff were incompetent and slow. It was mostly empty, but had to ask for a menu, had to remind them three times for water, and then multiple staff were unaware of what was on their lunch menu, and we had to wait for another person to come and explain what was on their chicken sandwich. The sandwich was terrible, and made cheaply yet highly overpriced. Do not recommend!

Everything seems good expect room service seems bad its so late or careless they give us food but forget plate’s I ordered water but they provide us so late otherwise room was so good on that price

Their rooms are quite impressive. They are spacious, feel fresh and clean and smell great. The interiors are comfortable and pleasing to eyes. The service is notable as well. However, the food isnt up to the mark. They really need to look into the taste of the food they serve. Everything else is just perfect.

Had an amazing stay at Hotel Ambassador. The property is right next to Thamel. Rooms are modern and cosy. Staff is very courteous and helpful. The restaurant at top floor, Foreign Affairs, serves some of the best Indian dishes we have eaten outside India. Overall it was a near perfect experience
