Wonderful hotel in the heart of the entertainment/tourist area. Rooms are super clean with full bath and comfortable beds. However, be warned, do not accept a room facing the rear of the hotel. The nightclub behind will make the windows shake until 2am!!

The hotel is at the heart of Thamel. The ambience, food and service of the staff is excellent! The rooms are quite spacious and clean. It's the best value for money hotel you can find in the area. I was really impressed with their service and their food. Would love to stay here again in the near future. Thank you for such an amazing experience!

We booked this hotel after visiting their restaurant for a meal and really liking the food, service and hygiene. Unfortunately the hotel doesn't come any close. The room cleanliness was questionable - there was a used earbud on the floor and hair in the bathroom. Our room was close to a night club and we could hear sounds and feel vibrations through the night till 5am. We asked them to change our room but they only had a slightly less noisy but much smaller room to offer, so we didn't end up moving not knowing that the music n vibrations will go on for that long. The staff didn't bother to ask us if we had a comfortable stay the next day

We stayed for a night. Great staff, very well maintained properly. We stayed in the suite which was amazing. We arrived late evening and had to leave early morning at 4 am. The staff arranged for a cab at odd hours. Everything about this place was just had a positive vibe.

Very helpful and accommodating staff. Clean facility. Connected to a good cafe/restaurant. Would recommend, but would also warn that due to location, busy loud night life and loud traffic will impact sleep. Clean comfortable rooms.

This is a hotel without any reputation, they are very good at cheating customers. They have very bad service! Every night you will fall asleep to the ambient bar music. When you need a bottle of water, they give you a leftover instead of a new one. Do not choose to come here if you want to have a good mood and sleep.

A lot of night life around, something to keep in mind is you have light sleep, I don't mind the noise. Reception will provide ear plugs to make sure you have a quiet rest.

The Roadhouse Hotel is a lovely, clean, comfortable hotel with large rooms, nice bathrooms with hairdryers, cable television, free internet and excellent customer care. The photos you see are accurate. I noticed that some reviews comment negatively about sound. I did not find the sound level to be any different from my stays in Manhattan hotels. In my opinion, noise at night is part of the trade off when one books a downtown hotel in a large, lively city. Other amenities at the stylish Roadhouse Hotel are its attached restaurant and a wine shop next to the hotel for you to buy a bottle and take to your room.. The restaurant has an intimate, warm decor and serves delicious foods many Westerners may miss like thin crust wood-fired pizza. The cappuccinos are very good at breakfast with eggs benedict on waffles. As I mentioned, we received excellent customer care during our two stays here in the past two weeks. I want to especially thank Mr. Nawang for answering our questions and resolving any of our nominal concerns like room temperature. Mr. Nawang is a professional. The staff here want to ensure your stay in Thamel, Kathmandu, Nepal is enjoyable. I highly recommend the Roadhouse Hotel.

Simply perfect. Great hosts. Attention to details. This place doesn‘t feel like Nepal at all, western standard to the max. A breath of fresh air. Attached restaurant has an extensive fusion cuisine selection available through room service!

Best place to stay in Thamel. High regards for Nawang and Sabita, for being warm and accomodating during our whole stay. Breakfast was generous and always beautiful. Rooms are clean, warm and cozy. We were informed about the construction noise beforehand, so if you like napping in the afternoons, this should probably be noted. A few nights being awakened by police sirens, because the location is in the busy night life area. Otherwise, would highly recommend.

Steer clear of this place! Oh the NOISE, Don't expect to rest or sleep here, unless you like construction hammering noises, and deep techno bass beats during nighttime... We arrived the place at about noon - and the noise from a construction site bear the hotel was just unbearable! We weren't given any prior notice about the works, only upon arrival we were told that this will be going on every day from 10:00 - 18:00. It basically felt like a continuous digging on our wall, everywhere from the lobby to the room. The fiasco doesn't end here - The construction did not stop at 18:00, and continued to late evening hours. The hotel service was completely useless - no solution was offered. Now for the cherry on top - The hotel is located just near a night club, which means that there is some "nice" techno beats all night long. WE RAN AWAY AT 1 AM FROM THE PLACE. THE SERVICE WAS JUST AWFUL FOR ANY OF THE PROBLEMS.

Stayed in the private terrace room. Amazing sunset and enough sunlight. Worth every penny. Highly recommend it. The room is big. Room service for efficient and quick which is rare. The food is delicious. Amazing service!! Very happy with my booking.

Stayed in the junior suit room and absolutely loved it! The room was spacious, tastefully decorated, modern and very clean. Bathroom was great, it just took a bit for the water to heat up but water pressure was amazing. We enjoyed the nice balcony and being able to just relax a bit and Netflix towards the end of our Nepal trip. Only downside was the restaurant/cafe that had a limited choice of 5 different breakfast selections. During our 3 nights stay we tried all of them. Neither one really appealed to me nor did I find fulfilling. This can be improved. Also, don’t recommend the washing service at all. Our shirts did not smell freshly washed but rather like food/curry. That really put me off. Even though I complained at checkout, the hotel staff charged the washing fee which was a small amount but still I found this service rather disappointing. Also I noticed lots of people here complain about the noice: even though we stayed during a busy time, the noice did not disturb us at all. It was a moderate level, at which you can sleep without any problems.

Hotel is comfortable. It’s nicely decorated and staff are very friendly. It’s well placed in the centre, however consequently the room can be a little noisy at night- it should be noted however that we stayed during new year so maybe it was noisier than usual outside. Gay friendly which is a bonus for us.

Fantastic hotel. We were actually staying at another hotel and moved to this one. The breakfasts are fantastic, rooms clean and staff always so welcoming and friendly.

I couldn't be more happy writing this review..It was our first family trip after covid to Nepal and we booked roadhouse for our stay. It's situated in the middle of thamel and the location is superb specially for tourists as you will find around many souvenir and gift softa and excellent restaurants. We were served welcome drinks on pura arrival and the check in absolutely smooth. Reception staff Sudarshan and Simona made sure all our requirements are taken care of. The room s were quite spacious and clean. All the staff were extremely helpful, polite and friendly. The breakfast was quite scrumptious as you have many options to choose from. rashmira from restaurant was quite good at her work.The Woodfire pizza and the pasta are one to vouch for. We were extremely pleased with our stay and would love to come back again. Thank you entire roadhouse team..

Stayed at roadhouse hotel a couple of times with friends and each time we had an amazing experience. Thanks to Shikar and Sudorshan, they made our stay smooth and easy! Overall, the service and people at the hotel were great.

Hotel road house August 10 2021 . I have stayed at dozen of hotels in and outside of Kathmandu and overseas. This was on the top of the list of best stays/experiences ever. The beautiful Newari architecture of the building.The rooms were clean, very comfortable.we get to stay in the room with balcony where you can see beautiful Thamel Heart of Kathmandu not to mention the staff were amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Kathmandu Nepal. The hotel have their own restaurant which they serve their famous road house Italian pizza among with other food.we tried arguably,margarita /pepperoni pizza and we try their pasta as well. we have to try all since we came from usa and we love food hehhe.it was the best pizza we ever tried.we enjoy eating everything there.highly recommend anyone who love Italian food. The hotel is located in a quieter area of Thamel, where you can easily find gift shop,grocery store,bank,pub etc. The hotel have nice roof top garden where you can have a cup of coffee read the news paper relax and enjoy the view. Another good point is they allowed us to leave our luggage for free. When we have to travel outside of Kathmandu. We stayed again at the hotel for our last night in KTM.

Beautiful rooms, very comfortable. Good AC/heating independently controlled in room. Shower has great pressure and good temp (once it warms up). Spotlessly clean, helpful and polite staff. Added bonus, the Roadhouse restaurant next door has probably the best pizza in Kathmandu.

Good hotel in core tourist area of Kathmandu.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 days and it I have no regrets. The design is based on Newa Architecture marked by striking brick work and a unique style of wood carving. This gives the rooms very earthly and cozy feelings. The rooms are cleans so are the bedsheets and the towels. Staffs are very accommodating and will go all out to help you. Food at this hotel is good , recommend booking the room with breakfast as their selections are good and the portions are huge.

Great location in the middle of the tourist area, but quiet rooms. Spacious, clean. Great breakfast, different every day. The beds were comfortable and the personnel was very nice and helpful.

Had a great stay here! Rooms were spacious, well kept and appointed. The included breakfast at roadhouse cafe has limited selections but they are all excellent and really enjoyable (but definitely not traditional Nepali food). The bathrooms are great, water pressure is sooo good. Only downside being in Thamel is it can still be very noisy at night. The rooms have decent sound proofing but the noise (music, people, traffic) from the surroundings still gets through.

Hotel at busy road of Thamel, Chaksibari road is a well known for its road house restaurant & cafe serving delicious wood fire pizza. Ground floor reception & toilet were very very clean. Though they lacked parking area but located in a busy tourist district with famous name of Roadhouse their service must be excellent as well.

Another wonderful stay! The room was even better this time around with balcony view. Friendly and warm staff as ever who are very attentive to your needs. Needless to say I enjoyed my stay and will be back in near future.

Clean hotel, comfortable bed, very professional staff and great restaurant. This is the place you want to go after the trek. If you are tired of eating Dal bhat this is the place to have a nice pizza and pasta! Would definitely stay here again!

It was a very nice and convenient hotel. All the staff all really friendly and very helpfull. The room is very clean,although lack of one thing (need a refrigerator). Breakfast is really nice. The location are very strategic. Definitely a recommended place. Cant wait to go back.

Horrible experience, had confirmed the booking of junior suite . Upon arrival after traveling for almost 48 hours , the reception informed that the guest had extended their stay, with no prior information and communication. With no option we were forced to switch our booking into a different room.

The staffs are also really nice and polite. If the feeling of having snacks entertains your thoughts, Roadhouse cafe is just downstairs. All in all, a good deal.
