A friendly hostel with good prices and a nice feel to it. I stayed in one of the few single rooms. Suggestion: Join together with the affordable restaurant on the ground floor! (The hostel needs a reception that's not so high up and a more accessible entrance in my opinion)

Amazing Hostel! The atmosphere at this place is so incredible. Definitely a must if coming to Kathmandu. It had a great location and great price. The staff is extremely kind and helpful. I would 100% recommended this place to anyone traveling and looking to meet some cool folks!!

The atmosphere is the best I have experienced in any hostel. You come for a few days, then stay for a week and return multiple times in your trip and future trips. Come for the small-medium sized social vibe that's created by the owners, staff, local friends and the travelers, chatting, singing with guitars, laughing, ninja, and having a general good time. The rooftop is a great environment to chill, smoke, drink and socialise or just read a book on your own, all are welcome here in the lovely vibe they have created.

Cant recommend this place enough. The guys running this hostel will make your time in Nepal so worth it. They go out of their way to make sure you see all the cool sights, and are more than happy to take you to the best places for food, drinks or even billiards. One of the best hostels I’ve stayed at. Lovely hostel tucked away in a great location. The staff are wonderful, and it almost feels like a second home. Most of the guests had been there several times before, so it's obviously something special!

Great place right in Thamel. The owners are awesome guys taking you on night outs to bars and the like. Nice, chill atmosphere on the rooftop, which sadly doesn't allow a good view on the surrounding city. Rooms and bathrooms are kept clean and tidy. Breakfast is perfectly fine if you want something simple.

Very chilled hostel to spend a few days at the end of my trip. Probably a bit more hippy than I usually like so I wouldn't have spent much more time but was good for a few days. Staff were friendly and helpful. The upstairs common area is good and the location in general is well placed. Rooms were a bit small and worn out but I think that was more a reflection of the other guests than the hostel necessarily.

Hostel One96 is a friendly, welcoming home run by lovely people. The beds are comfortable, the cats are cuddly and the singing around the fire on the roof terrace is heart-warming. Highly recommended!
