We staryed in this hotel for 2 days. 3rd day we checked out and left for a short trip. Our luggage was kept with the hotel staff, as we were suppose to continue our stay with this hotel on return. But, when we returned from our trip, the hotel denied room availability even after commitments. This is how they treat their guest. Our luggage was kept in the same room where we stayed for last two days. I am surprised how can any guest accept room with previous guests luggage. Such beautiful hotel with pathetic hospitality and ethics.

Very nice atmosphere in this traditional Newari building. We ordered the "set" with chicken and variety of Newari style food, very tasty. The liquor is sold by the shot, very potent.

Awesome Hotel, so picturistic and authentic (formerly a family mansion). Amazing location right next to Durbar square is enchanting and the staff are adorable. I can't see any reason to stay in a "regular" hotel when you can add flavour to your stay and live in a place that has this much spirit in it. We'll be back!

Located at the heart of Kathmandu and between many tourist destinations, makes going anyplace so easier to reach and plan throughout the stay. A peaceful environment with the city hustle bustle and the Durbar square just around the corner. Staffs are incredibly friendly and helpful. Food here are completely delightful . A must try traditional newari cuisine .Rooms are very comforting and well furnished. I had a wonderful stay here and would highly recommend this place for all the people searching for the best place to stay in kathmandu.

The hotel was good enough. We reserved the room for a night and reached late at 11pm. The room we reserved, standard single was not available and one available room was dirty. But we were upgraded to a deluxe room. The shower spray alongside the WC was very short and could not be used properly. Overall the aesthetics of the hotel room was quite good and the stay was well.

Overall: 2/5 Staff: 5/5 - amazing staff!! Like wowza!! Super helpful, kind, and when I was in a rush to check in in order to make it to an appointment, they were just incredibly accommodating. Got to my appointment on time because of them. They ordered a taxi and even heroes me negotiate a price. Incredible women!! Rooms: 2/5 - just the basics. No AC but there is a fan. In September, I found it to be cool enough. The 2 windows open, and I kept them open at night. No bath towel. There was only a hand towel which was odd. There seemed to only be hot water during the day day which is pretty normal by Nepali standards. There was toilet paper. The bathroom was mostly clean except the toilet. Speaking of the toilet, the seat wasn't properly adhered to the bowl, coming off easily. You surely don't want to know how I found that out. But points for a Western style toilet which is my preference. Location: 5/5 - right around the corner from one of Kathmandu's famous squares. Only a short walk to Thamel and Freak Street. Can't beat that. Food: 0/5 - I ordered food here twice. I ordered once, having the food sent up to my room, and it was just ok. The next day, I went downstairs and ordered a chicken sizzler for lunch. While awaiting my food, a mouse ran right under my feet. About 3 minutes later, it crossed the room again... I'm the middle of the day in broad daylight. It made me question the cleanliness for sure! When my meal came, I still ate it, but I found myself picking many pieces of cartilage out of my mouth which was pretty gross and showed to me that the quality of the meat was very poor. Also, the wine is just super sweet garbage and way overpriced. Skip it.

Homely, traditional ambience. Very clean. Very friendly personnel. There is warm water 24×7. Heater for the room too. Awesome authentic Nepali food options. And every of them tastes like home. I would definitely visit again and recommend others.

Loved the place. Extremely happy with the food. This place is a total 5 on 5. The only reason I gave 4 star is due to parking space and the place could use some cleaning. The food and the table are clean but some places such as terrace and stairs looks little off. Personally I wil visit again and again, but I will definitely look forward to changes.
