And now Kasthamandap has rise again but normally people are allowed to enter inside it. This mandala was made in the Newa New year (Nhu daya Bhintuna) 1144 near the Kasthamandap. It has a story and can be easily found in Google.

The wooden pavilion is located at Basantapur Marutol in Kathmandu. The place is also known as Darwar Square area. It is one of the most important buildings in the history of Nepal. Situated in Basantapur Durbar Square,Kasthamandap is three storeyed public shelter. It is believed to be constructed by king Laxmi Narsingha Malla in 16th century. But recent archeological findings during the excavation after 2015 earthquake have suggested that it may have been built in the 7th century during Lichhabi era. It was made with single tree-sal and said to be one of the oldest wooden-made buildings in the world.
