I was there for a very quick stay with my Austrian Friends, it very clean, friendly and very helpful peoples, very central to go anywhere. Love this place and highly recommended.

Excellent location, easy to go to town and shopping area. Enjoy the lovely breakfast on rooftop with great view. The owner is very nice to us and let us to keep bags in his hotel even we went away for few days. Great bargain price,clean room,good hot shower. Highly recommend to other to stay in this lovely place.

Very kind and helpful owners & nice rooms with comfortable beds and pillows, dark curtains, clean bathroom. A bit out of Thamel, but nice to be in less of a touristic location.

i booked terrace room which called a suit room and it is only one suit room in terrace with garden. me and my wife enjoyed the breakfast, beautyfull terrace with garden and at night terrace garden are decorr with beautyful light. it is hardly 5 minutes from thamel market. Host/manager helped us about the tourist location and information. he is very nice person and price of rooms were very satisfactory at night the area is silent. the cab or taxi driver in kathmandu harass the tourist by demanding extra money. its better you book cab with Cab application or take a bike or scooty on rent

What a treat to have been able to stay at Blue Mountain twice during my trip to Nepal. Boudhi and the rest of the crew deserve recognition for going above and beyond with their hospitality and warmth. I was pinching myself everyday waking up to those beautiful sunrises and evening sunsets from the rooftop room, and you couldn't wish for a more perfect location, just an easy 5 minute walk to the main street in Thamel - but a much needed space of peace and quiet after the chaos. Do yourself a favour and book in with Blue Mountain, I'm certain I'll be staying here every trip to Kathmandu. Thank you Boudhi, already looking forward to my next stay.

Lovely owner but it stops there, this place is a joke, firstly beware of the pay at promises offer because property manager will charge something between 30% on top of the website advertised amount. Secondly apparently during rainy days there's no hot water so expect to get to the hotel after a cold wet day and have a cold shower. The only thing the responsible for the hotel says is I'm truly sorry about everything, and the list goes on... reusing small soap bar, yes they put a used soap bar in an open bag and left there for next client..

Great place to stay! It is 2 minutes away from the chaotic Thamel, and it is not that noisy neither chaotic. Nice and super clean rooms and bathrooms. Beautiful garden full of flowers and sunny. Very colourful and lightly indoors. Budi is a gentleman! Food could be a better. I recommend it a lot

Blue Mountain Homestay is the perfect place to stay in Kathmandu. Have stayed here for 5 nights and it was a comfortable stay. Beds are very comfy, washrooms are very neat, clean and the host of property is really good. Host can help you to plan out your day and can arrange transport as well. The place is just located at a walking distance from the famous Thamel street and just 15-20 min from the airport. Overall it's a great place with a very pocket friendly price and i would highly recommend to book this place if you are looking to stay in Kathmandu.

It's a 5 minute walking distance from Thamel. Buddhi is a wonderful host and has beautiful, neat and well kept rooms. He even offered us a traditional nepali meal which was awesome. He gives a lot of information about the city. The decor of the property is pretty. The prices are also very superb. Close by to all attractions. A must book! The cleaning and hygiene of this place is top notch. There is a food menu to choose from. The highlight is to enjoy a warm meal on Blue mountain's terrace restaurant. It is a very well kept homestay.

I always enjoy staying at Blue Mountain. It is very clean and comfortable, and the staff is very, very helpful and courteous. It has a great location. Internet is high speed and reliable, and there is regular hot water. I highly recommend staying here and plan to stay there again. Thank you to all the staff

What a fantastic spot—comfortable and spacious rooms, immaculately clean both in the rooms and in all the common spaces, a very kind and helpful owner, and located the perfect distance from the heart of Thamel (close walking distance but much quieter and calmer than being in the middle of all the chaos). The shared balcony on each floor was a lovely and quiet place to relax, with comfortable seating. Each floor has no more than four rooms, so the common spaces are not crowded and the shared bathroom is nearly always available. The owner went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed, including helping us get bus and plane tickets. The complementary breakfast, which we ate on the beautiful rooftop terrace every morning, was delicious and filling; it included tea or coffee, toast with butter and jam, eggs prepared to your choosing, and fruit. It was a perfect place to stay (so good we stayed there three times before and after treks) and we plan to stay again in the future!

It's the second time we come to blue mountain Homestay. The building and rooms are nicely designed and have comfortable beds. Its only two minutes walk to Thamel but very quite during night. What I really enjoyed is the hospitality and kindness of the whole team. Definitly recommend!

We stayed here for a week with our parents, therefore everything needed to be perfect. And our expectations were met! The room on the rooftop offers a seating area with a 360 degree view over Kathmandu which made our stay very special. The beds are very comfortable, the bathroom is sparkling clean and the hot shower works flawlessly. The WiFi works perfectly in the room. The breakfast is very good and affordable with toast, butter & jam, eggs, tea/coffee and fruits. I especially appreciated that our dietary needs were accommodated and we got porridge for breakfast as well. The room with a shared bathroom was a little bit darker than the one on the roof as it didn’t have a window to the outside. But the shared bathroom is spacious and always clean. Therefore it’s an amazing option if you’re on a budget (especially if you book directly!) There are lovely decorated seating areas on each level of the house. Especially the breakfasts area is beautiful. The location is perfect, just a short walk to the center of Thamel. Therefore it is quiet at night and in the morning we could hear the birds. The host is very friendly and made us feel like at home. He was very patient with all our requests. I hope we get the chance to come back someday.

Stayed here multiple times during my trip around Nepal. Lovely place a tiny bit outside busy and touristic Thamel. Quite and spacious room with comfy beds and amazing showers. Great view from the rooftop/terrace. Nice local restaurants close by. The most friendly and helpful owners and staff!!

Blue Mountain Homestay was wonderful - the team went out of their way to make you feel like you were family and couldn't be more helpful, friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean, with 24/7 hot showers, a lovely breakfast up on the roof terrace, and a terrace on each floor where you can relax. The location was very good, very close to the main hub of Thamel but still quiet and comfortable. I would absolutely recommend Blue Mountain Homestay to anyone looking for a home away from home in Kathmandu!

Peaceful place outside of busy and loudy area. Better for long stay tourist and business person.

You will find nice people in this place. The owner and the staff are very kind. Great view on the rooftop and good location close to Tamel
