Not visitor Friendly. I wanted to meet guest staying there at rooftop and gave them Id. I went to rooftop . Reception guy then proceeds to come to rooftop and make it dramatic saying it’s our policy to not have guests. If you didn’t want guests you should say so in reception. What was the reason to take id then come at rooftop with drama. I will not recommend my hostel’s tourist to stay here anymore

Great hotel to be in central Thamel. Clean, friendly staff, flexible timing. No complaints at all. Stayed for 3 days in May and 3 days in June 2022. Awesome worth the money. Recommended. Breakfast was nice too.

I had a great stay here after many days of trekking. Solo traveller staying in a Double Deluxe room. The staff are really friendly and helpful, kudos to them. Room is big, and clean. Hot water is reliable. Room walls insulation is better than other places I stayed in Kathmandu. The hotel is tucked just off the main street, there is no traffic noise. Perfect for a good night rest. There is a coffee bar just outside this hotel. I can't find it on the map. To be honest, best coffee I had in Kathmandu and I tried many.

A budget hotel that is well located, clean and comfortable. Some of the rooms are a bit small with no windows but ask the excellent staff and they will try and find a better room, some do have small balconies. Breakfast is good, freshly cooked eggs and coffee. The staff though are what makes the place, they are very friendly, super helpful and will go out of their way to ensure everything possible you need is taken care of.

Absolutely the BEST hotel in Kathmandu. Rooms are very nice and well equipped. Breakfast was included for me and they even have an egg station. Wi-Fi worked pretty well and there was always electricity and hot water. One thing I would like to highlight is the staff. I have never been in a hotel with staff that was SO friendly and caring about guests. They often helped me when I was having questions about bus connections or gave tips for local activities. I also valued the pick up service from the airport very much because it is very crowded with crazy taxi drivers there, but the Hotel Jampa driver found me quickly and drove me safely to the hotel. They also have a drop off service for your flight back. I would give the hotel a 10 if possible. Also the location is perfect, very centrally located in the heart of Thamel. Can only very highly recommend! ☺️

Beautiful boutique style hotel in the middle of Thamel. Complimentary transport from the airport was a good start to my Nepal adventure. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very reasonably priced and good value for money. Would stay again and recommend to others.

Great Money Value. It was Early Morning Check In 3 Am. Though they provided smooth check in. Asked if i needed any help on Food or drink ordering as In House restaurant was closed Breakfast Choices were limited but amazing. Live Egg station was beautifully setup.

Hotel Jampa deserves more stars. Good hotel with nice spacious rooms, clean and good sanitary facilities. Staff are friendly. Breakfast is included and definitely recommended. On a return visit to Kathmandu I would definitely book it again.

The staff is so helpful and genuinely friendly. This is a well managed, professional, and organized place to stay. My room was super clean. The bed and comforter kept me snug. I highly recommend Jampa and encourage you to get breakfast with your room.

Poor communication!! I booked the hotel yesterday, then the hotel calls in the next morning getting my hopes high. Receptionist told me, there is a couple room available now, and confirmed the booking for me. However, before I head down there, I gave them a call to confirm the address. Receptionist goes, oh we overbooked today therefore, we have to transfer you to another hotel. Rather, wishes me to downgrade to cheaper hotel. What a joke! Please train your staff to inform the guest before giving away their room.

Great service from staff, rooms with king size are the best (ask for room backside of hotel, not streetside because noise) and the breakfast buffet was the best! They even had an own barista which made perfect flat whites (included in the price).

It was my second visit in Nepal and I have to say I like Kathmandu better because of Hotel Jampa. The location is in a quiet corner of Thamel. After walking the busy streets of Thamel, it feels nice to always come "home" to somewhere peaceful and tranquil. The staff are super friendly and we felt very well taken care of. They have arranged various transportation for our treks. The room including the bathroom is clean and come with free bottled water. Breakfast is good with some variety. Overall, I highly recommend Hotel Jampa.

Hotel Jampa provided an exceptional experience during our 3-night, 4-day stay as a couple. Situated in the heart of Thamel, the hotel's location proved to be a strategic choice, offering proximity to popular markets and the convenience of exploring Indra Chowk and Darbar Square within walking distance. The cleanliness of our hotel room surpassed expectations, reflecting the establishment's commitment to maintaining high standards. The staff's warmth and friendliness added a personal touch to our stay, creating a welcoming atmosphere throughout. A special acknowledgment goes to Mr. Prakash, whose assistance elevated our visit. His in-depth knowledge of local sightseeing spots in Kathmandu and insights about the Everest Base Camp were invaluable. Mr. Prakash's genuine willingness to help and provide information contributed significantly to our positive experience. One memorable aspect of our stay was the delightful masala tea. Upon expressing our appreciation for this local treat, Mr. Prakash went out of his way to ensure we could enjoy it even after leaving the hotel. He arranged 2 packets of the tea from the hotel kitchen stock, showcasing a level of service that goes beyond the ordinary. In summary, Hotel Jampa not only met but exceeded our expectations. From the central location to the cleanliness of the rooms, friendly staff, and personalized assistance, our stay was nothing short of fantastic. I wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Jampa for a memorable and comfortable stay in Kathmandu.

We stayed in this hotel through local agent DestinationUnlimitedTrek and the experienced beyond our expectation. Receptionist, cafeteria waiters waitress were very friendly. The breakfast was the best throughout our trekking trip. Hotel located at the heart of tourist hotspot and inside an alley, quiet and less dusty. 1 of the improvement is the bed too soft at level 2, especially room 201. Other floor's rooms were good.

I recently stayed at Hotel Jampa and unfortunately encountered an unsettling incident that greatly impacted my experience. Upon check-in, I discovered an issue with the flush and toilet in my room. Despite reporting it promptly the next morning, the response from the receptionist was unexpectedly accusatory. Instead of addressing the problem, the staff member accused me of damaging the washroom, claiming I had deliberately caused the issue by stuffing tissue paper into the system. Shockingly, false statements were made about the condition of the flush before my arrival, suggesting my involvement in its malfunction. What deeply disappointed me was not just the malfunction itself but the unprofessional behavior and misrepresentation of facts by the staff. Moreover, the insinuation of my involvement in the issue was entirely baseless. This unfortunate encounter marred an otherwise pleasant stay. It's disheartening to witness such untrained and inappropriate behavior from the Hotel staff. Instead of trying to resolve the issue and make it better for guests, the staff believes in accusing the guests. This hotel is not meant for people who expect to be treated respectfully and are on their vacation. I sincerely hope that the management takes this incident seriously and addresses the behavior of their staff promptly. Guests should feel respected and valued during their stay, and incidents like these need to be prevented to maintain the reputation of the hotel. I hope my feedback contributes to an improvement in guest experiences at Hotel Jampa.

The hotel is well established in its class with all that you can expect for the price. However the hotel is not just the building and furnishing. The most important are the people that provide service to you and care for you. In this aspect the hotel is far beyond its category. The reception and concierge staff are just what toy could dream about to make your stay happy. Very professional, well informed, helpful and friendly people make you want to return. The breakfast is also good and the transfer from / to the airport is a very convenient solution

Hotel Jampa is a great option for travelers looking for a comfortable and affordable place to stay in Kathmandu. The hotel is located in the heart of Thamel, making it easy to reach all of the city's attractions. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel also has a restaurant and a rooftop garden, which are great places to relax and enjoy the view of the city.

They did fraud… the asked us inr 14000 and then give us bill of R/s 18000 … they have a experience of loot… the screen shot you guys are talking do share it … you did not mention inr or Nepali rupees … and you said yes for 2 days … then you changed your words while last payment very smartly … I discussed 3 times from your stafff . What we bearded was your carelessness.

Extraordinary Everything!! The rooms & breakfast are decent, the staff is extra kind and helpful, the location is amidst a buzzing shopping street that still manages to remain quiet at night.. absolutely no complaints! Special mention to the staff again for going above and beyond to make your stay comfortable all the while you’re there 😁💕

Service - 4/5 Comfort - 5/5 Room - Big & Spacious Food - 3/5 Suggestions: The exhaust system in Washroom is inadequate... The shower spot is not covered properly hence water spread all over. It needs cover in all directions with provision for gate.. Reception at day time not serious. Despite asking them to get room cleaned not done twice... Room service needs to be educated to pick up utensils once food consumed in room. The daily supply of complimentary water bottle needs to be stocked up on daily basis..

I think it is a very solid choice in Kathmandu! Very nice rooms, comfortable beds. Cozy eating area. Food seems to be quite nice as far as I can tell. Good service!!! Small criticism would be that the doors/doorframes are not properly soundproofed. So, that can be a little bit annoying during busy times. However otherwise well soundproofed.

Hotel is more or less good . Food is awesome . Descent service . Location is not much good . Very congested area in Tamel market . The most demerit I feeled in the hotel is, there is an un wanted security guard and driver who were fully involved in the reception and such u will not get any privacy to interact with reception . One more thing , if u are going bachelor to explore Thmel and Kathmandu .. this is not a good place . It’s heard many hotels support the tourist for their enjoyment in Nepal . But their attitude seems it’s a sacred place like ROME or Thirupathi . Staff Deepak and manager Prakash are behaving good . No laundry no ironing . Restaurant staff are also good .

Place is good, but the way of their Managing is so bad. They offer a downgraded room for us, but we didn’t book that. Finally after checked out the cancelled our booking at booking.com. So the property try to gain a very small amount by canceling.

A very genuine and special thanks to all the staff from Hotel Jampa, and especially to the owner Mr. Prakash. Never have I experienced such personalized and warm service. No wonder hotel Jampa has grown from a backpacker's hostel 10 years ago to the well known landmark hotel it is in Kathmandu today. Wishing all the best to Prakash and his team for further progress. The food, too is good. However, if you crave for an authentic warm Pizza or Burger, "Himalayan take away" right next to Hotel Jampa is a great option 💖

Not a lot to criticise. In the heart of Thamel but off a quiet road, and very peaceful inside. Very modern, clean space, with helpful staff. Breakfast was decent, free pick up / drop off very useful. Money exchange is useful, but they don't take Scottish notes!

I only stayed 2 nights before going trekking, but already regret not staying longer. The rooms were great and very clean and the staff was amazingly helpful. First and foremost they helped me with getting my delayed bags from the airport and then with the bus connection to Besi Sahar. I've never had more friendly and helpful staff Absolutely loved my stay here
