Their service along with hospitality is awesome. They have parking facilities, complimentary buffet breakfast. various sized rooms as per your demand and necessities are available upon prior booking. There are halal hotels around Taleju Boutique Hotel, which are in walking distance. If you are leaving before the breakfast time starts, they provide you packed breakfast i.e. Fruits, Pancakes, Mango Juice etc. Highly recommended of you want to stay at Kathmandu.

I've stayed at many hotels in many countries and I'd not felt compelled to write a review of one until now. The Taleju is my home away from home in Kathmandu. I cannot imagine staying anywhere else. My room was spacious, very clean, with a great shower and an excellent mattress. This is gorgeous hotel and the photos do not do justice to the beauty of the courtyard. The Taleju is an oasis right in the middle of the divine chaos of Thamel. the restaurant is superb, food is very fresh and a great value. Every staff members seemed to exemplify the best of Nepalese hospitality - Sanjay, the manager, is masterful - attentive to my budget, and with scarcely a days notice, he arranged a world class tour of all seven World Heritage Sites in one day! Additionally, he guided me to the most reasonably priced shops for the souvenirs I needed. For me, travel, especially international travel, is about relationships - I'm leaving Nepal tomorrow, and several of the most surprising new relationships I'm leaving with are with my hosts at the Taleju Boutique Hotel.

Our stay at Taleju Boutique Hotel in Kathmandu in Jan was fabulous! The room was very clean, and the staff was incredibly friendly & attentive. The hotel's great food, massages, & convenient location which made my visit to Kathmandu truly memorable. I recommend this lovely place more to anyone looking for a wonderful stay in Kathmandu.

Excellent hotel in Thamel. We stayed at the Taleju in October and November both before and after a trip up to the Himalayas and it was an oasis in the middle of busy dusty Kathmandu. Quite unassuming from the outside, fronting onto a small side street, once through the door the hotel sits around a very nice courtyard, with a small bar and restaurant facilities. Suman - the food and beverage manager - was very helpful, charismatic and professional. Nothing was too much trouble, the night I arrived my flight was delayed but he kindly stayed behind and kept the bar open so that I could celebrate seeing my father for the first time in over three years (due to covid restrictions etc) with a cold beer and friendly faces. My room had a small balcony overlooking the courtyard, the bed was comfortable and the room very clean. The shower had excellent water pressure and the plumbing was in good working order - especially by Kathmandu standards! The air conditioning was effective and quiet. Breakfast was a complementary buffet which was basic but pleasant, with the option of buying a more substantial breakfast if preferred. The coffee was cheap and very good. We had lunch and dinner at the Taleju on several occasions and the food was always freshly cooked and very high quality. The chilli chicken in particular was a standout starter! I sincerely thank the whole team at the Taleju for their hospitality, and look forward to returning when I next find myself in Nepal. कृपया मेरो गहिरो धन्यवाद स्वीकार गर्नुहोस् 🙏🏻

The best hotel I stayed in Kathmandu in my life. This was my fourth visit. I wish Google had 7 stars. Seriously. Highly recommended if you are looking for a quiet place but in Thamel, with loads of restaurants (Newari, Korean, Japanese, Italian and French etc). The Durbar Square, Seto Machindranath, Itum Bahil and Tham Bahil are all at walking distance. Super friendly staff. They even helped me download the Taxi app to move around with ease. The thing that touched me the most was: they accepted my reservation on Google, and sent a car to pick me, and didn't ask for a deposit when I checked in. The trust, which is in short supply these days, made me feel welcome.

Greatly located in Thamel while being close to everything still in a quiet street. Breakfast had a good variety every morning. We had dinner a few times also at the hotel and it was delicious. Food never felt too oily or like they add extras to make it more rich and fattening. All the staff was so helpful and sweet, everyday they had a smile and helpful suggestions of where to go and what to do. Really a lovely lovely hotel. Definitely will stay here again when back in Kathmandu.

We stayed here for one week after our trip to EBC. It is a very pleasant hotel, good facilities, and very friendly staffs. Located quite close to shops but not too close to have a very quiet ambience to relax. Strongly recommended place to stay in Kathmandu.

We just returned from a trip to Nepal and stayed at the Taleju Boutique Hotel, we had a deluxe family room that was spacious and had a garden view from the balcony. As it is the monsoon season, we could experience the rains from the balcony and enjoyed views of the well kept garden. All the staff at the hotel are friendly, attentive and helpful. The spa services are very good. Breakfast was included in our package and the hotel ensured they even packed the breakfast for us if we left early for an excursion. We had meals for lunch and dinner at the hotel - local cuisine or international, both very good. The location is also very good and close to the main market for shopping. We experienced warmth and hospitality at the hotel. The interiors of the hotel had so much detail, very scenic property with a lot of greenery. This was our first trip to Nepal and we had a memorable stay.

Beautiful hotel with many picturesque points. Staffs are very friendly and cooperative. We had done our booking online but when we reached there, they upgraded our rooms which was really cool. Infact they lowered our prices as compared to online booking prices. It's 24*7 open so there's no problem if you are roaming outside or clubbing. Restaurant closes at 9:30 pm, so you need to place the order before that. Breakfast was complimentary for us and I must say they never repeated the menu apart from basic juice, toast, tea, corn flakes and fruit. Don't miss there breakfast as it's super tasty, light and fresh. Must stay place if you are in Kathmandu.

Perfect hotel!!! So friendly and helpfull. The manager especially helped me so much with excursions and helping me. Thanks so much. Perfect WIFI. Liked the room also nice rooftofbar. Bed feels good. Fast warm water way faster then other hotels. Roomservice which is very handy good served food. Also free sanitary bags and minis like showergel and even a razor and toothbrush! I felt very welcome and good service. Also a mini fridge! The only but that was the only thing it was a bit noisy because I was at the side of the outside . But not too bad just some sounds. Overall very good place and staff is wonderfull , all of them. Thank you guys!!! Greetings from the netherlands.

This is a fantastic little spot. We had a lovely stay, all staff were friendly and very helpful, regularly checking in with us about how our stay was and if there was anything we needed. The rooms were clean and spacious for the area. The garden and restaurant were well worth staying in for. I would definitely recommend this place.

A cute little hotel. It's pretty new and some things are missing (ie there are holders for the shower curtains but there are none). There's a weird rule that they only clean the room if you go to front desk and ask (although I asked them to clean it every day after some time and they did). The staff is very friendly and helpful, but a little slow. I had a discount rate of US $37/night and ors a bang for your buck at that price. The bed is super comfortable! On the downside there's a construction right across the (tiny) street so you hear the workers come in at 7 am...

The fact that it is located in a small street, shows an absolute quiet. The general cleanliness shows a careful eye of the desire for fresh in the room. Quality price of this property, you have the real feeling of having just made a real deal in a city, Kathmandu, likewise magical. recommend this place. 10/10

Very average hotel. Unfortunately for the duration of my stay there was construction work outside the hotel with lorries coming and going till midnight which was not very peaceful. The breakfast had no vegetarian options so was only a bit of fruit. The hotel arranged a taxi for my airport transfer but that didn't arrive so had to drag my cases up the road at 6am. Not very good value for the room price. Massage Spa was nice but had an sewer drain running under the bed with a broken lid that smelt bad The hotel manager really needs to sort this out.

Loved this hotel and all the people who worked here. It is centrally based so we could easily explore Thamel, the tourist area as well as Darbar Square and Asan Square which was the best place to visit. The staff at Taleju were always willing to help and always with a smile too. The food was delicious, we had breakfast every day during our stay and some meals too. The rooms were clean and comfortable too. The views from the rooftop were spectacular. It was Diwali whilst we were around, so we could see lots of lights :) Great hotel to stay if you are in Kathmandu.

Little gem! Wonderful, charming hotel.  I've stayed in several hotels in Kathmandu and around.  Taleju is the most welcoming and best equipped by far. Nice comfortable rooms with all modern  conviniences like AC, mini fridge,  safe, etc. Every small detail is thought through.  Even nonslip shower flip-flops. But the best part is people! We were pampered and spoiled. Taleju stuff made us feel special. Special thanks to Taleju chef Sanchiber and restaurant staff, especially Suman,  who served our dinners on the rooftop terrace. And very helpful and gracious front desk employees Monica and Anish. I wish I could list every employee of Taleju in my review,  because they all took such a great care of our every need and want and made us feel so welcome.

Taleju was beautiful, clean, and accomodating - we were able to have a great stay even during these crazy pandemic times. They had good quality customer service and went above and beyond to make sure were safe, comfortable and well fed. I really enjoyed spending time in their beautiful courtyard and we had excellent dinner in their downstairs restaurant. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend Taleju to friends.

We had a very very pleasant stay at Taleju. The rooms were very nice and clean. Good shower, very fast and good WiFi. Breakfast is excellent, as well as lunch and dinner options. Very delicious and fresh cuisine, and very good and hygienic. The location is also perfect, its in the centre of Thamel, everything you want is just around the corner (good restaurants, taxi, ncell to buy simcard). And the hotel is still in a quiet street, which we found to be very welcoming. But above all, the staff was exceptional! Super friendly and helpful. Very polite, very nice people. The manager Sanjay went out of his way to help us with anything. I used the spa several times and it was excellent! After a two week trekking and being overwhelmed by the busy streets of Thamel, I could enjoy and relax the spa immediately when I wanted. The stay in Taleju was perfect and will definitely come here again when visiting Kathmandu.

Look no further if you are looking for a peaceful gem, in a great area, with the best staff! I picked this place off of their reviews, and it did not disappoint! Their breakfast every morning was incredibly tasty, and the menu changed daily. The rooms are nice; very clean, great hot water, and wonderful beds & linens. The wifi is good as well in the rooms. I had room service/dinner one night that was very good! The courtyard is perfect and beautiful. A quiet little oasis in a very busy part of Kathmandu. The staff are all so wonderfully kind and helpful as well! Massive thank you to Monica, Suman, and Samir for making my stay special and for all the extra help too with arranging rides, etc. This place and its staff are equally awesome!! I will 100% come back here next time I’m back in KTM.

Had the most wonderful experience at Taleju Boutique Hotel in Kathmandu. The rooms are clean, spacious, and beautiful. The food is great with very quick and attentive service. The staff went above and beyond to help with anything we needed, from receiving and holding packages to covid testing and more. They provided in-depth transparent guidance on cycling and trekking routes without pushing commercial travel agencies. The staff at Taleju made our introduction to Nepal so smooth and I can't recommend highly enough.

Entire staff are friendly and very helpful. Rooms are clean. There's a restaurant and a spa right in the hotel. The momos were excellent. I had them every day. They call you cabs, private cars, set up tours, etc. Can't say enough good about them.

  • 3/5 Sujay R. 1 year ago on Google
It was good experience. Service is amazing. The food is good most of the time. We had trouble with the bathroom, WC cover was broken and the water quality was not good. Hot water is not predictable, it’s perfect for one bath but May stop during another!!. Also, the sage in the room could be opened or fixed. I still recommend this hotel.
