The worst restaurant we ate in Nepal. Waited for almost an hour to receive a small dish with mostly bones and very hot (spicy) although we asked for non spicy food. The manager told us the chef didn't come today so he had to cook. We paid a lot and left hungry to look for a real place to eat. STAY AWAY!!

Overpriced food and taste not that good. Ordered dum biryani and Hakka noodles . Noodles were ok. But biryani was served with leftover chicken pieces. There were only neck pieces in the name of chicken. And when your dish is going to cost 700 (850 with vat and SC) it should at least provide for two but it's not even that filling for one. Very very disappointing.

I went here with my family because I saw great google reviews but it didn’t meet my expectations or reviews. I’ll start with the pros (good): Great ambience. It was nice and clean. The only good thing from our food was garlic cheese naan and garlic naan. That’s all. Now for the cons (bad) In short: Food was below average. Presentation was good but taste was bland. In detail: - We ordered buff momo and mushroom tika which tasted okay, kind of felt like it was missing flavour. -For our mains we ordered dal makhini, butter chicken, garlic cheese naan and garlic naan, lamb curry and rice. Our palak paneer was forgotten. The food wasn’t that great. Lacked salt and flavour. The consistency of our daal makhini was quite thin. We also ordered some fried string beans from the Chinese menu which tasted semi raw (hard). Rice was stiff too. Looked like old rice just reheated. - The service was average. The waiter in the start was nice and friendly but following the waiter change, the waiter didn’t seem to care or take account of our feedback. Overall, I doubt I’ll come back for round 2.

One of the finest places to dine-in. I, as an american, was having a very rough time finding a suitable place to eat but this place turned out to be my one stop-shop for all my needs. Fine indo-chinese cuisine under one roof besides a very nice bar. Staff was super professional and courteous. A MUST-GO place while in Kathmandu.

We had been for dinner and ordered from the menu. Food was served on time but taste and quality of the food(paneer) can be improved. Best thing is quantity of the food served was more.

The restaurant is situated inside of YATRI SUITS AND SPA, 4 star Hotel at Thamel. The restaurant's name is Daawat Indian Cuisine. The ambience is really nice (pictures attached). THE FOOD TASTES 100/100. The service was really good. Ambience is something to be mentioned. The chef (Mr. Monoj Kumar Basnet) was really polite and cared for each of the guests. He personally came to us for the food and taste. We ordered Pizza, Butter Nun, Butter Chicken, Sufiyana Paneer. We are mesmerized by the food they offer there. The cost is very optimized and the quantity & quality superspeed everything. Will definitely recommend to all the visitors who are looking for genuine Indian food. Loved it! Must recommended.

Visited this for a lunch buffet. They buffet was very simple consist of Roti , Naan, Rice, Dhal, Paneer Subzi, Curd, Noodles, one desert and fruits It costs Rs 1000 Nepali Rupees which is a bit costlier however the taste was good and impressive. They served hot Rotis and Naan which is appreciable . Certainly it is not a great spread however the taste was good One time go for all visitors

The hotel is neat, clean, and the staff is courteous. The food is delicious. However, found it very unprofessional and obnoxious to find the owner and his friends at the dining talking loudly and drunk and we're smoking inside the restaurant when other guests were dining inside. When asked the waitress, who was very kind, and pleasant girl, she said, he's the owner. Such high-handed, obove-the-law-behavior is conceivable. He clearly does not have ethics.

Spacious, with good ambiance. The Dal Tadka we had was good. Pratik, who attended us, went extra mile to prepare butter milk for us, going through YouTube 😊 Such a hard working person 👍🏼 The management should know how precious angel asset he is for the company. The chef volunteered to prepare Gujarati food for us 😊👍🏼 such a gem. Do visit this place if you want Indian cuisine in Kathmandu

Food = below average Ambience = big space but unclean and very loud Service = Staff is very polite but unfortunately not trained. They mix up orders and keep bringing you food you did not order. Your order keeps taking rounds to other tables. Not recommended for anyone other than Indians and Nepalese.

Daawat cuisine in Yatri Hotel ,Kathmandu is really nice place to eat. Great food and really nice staff. One suggestion is to add some Gujarati and Nepali Thali to the menu. We spent two weeks ans had great time here. Food manager Ramkumar and all staff is great. Thank you!

Disappointed, saw the good reviews and went there. Average food, very small proportions when taking the price into account. The serving staff were very friendly though and thats the only reason Im giving this place a 3 star rating.

Tiny portions, overpriced, the food tastes like nothing and the staff brought me the wrong food even though there were two people in the restaurant. A real disappointment.

The Indian food was absolutely tasteless and the Italian was hardly Italian. Insipid noodles were passed off as Italian with no taste. The Barbecue mocktail was flat too.All in all we felt short changed after the bad tastes it left in the mouth. Avoid!

Daawat indian cuisine resturent @ 1st floor of Hotel Yatri in Thamel Kathmandu has variety of Indian menu with authentic Indian teste. Staffs are well cooperative. Mr. Surendra is very curious and he make everything as per the guest expectation, well Groomed and professional staff. Overall owesome experience. Food teste can remember you an another home outside your country.. Thank you Mr. Surendra and all other staff.

This restaurant Daawat is at the Yatri Hotel. Hotel is very good - comfortable, good location, wonderful staff. The Daawat restaurant is excellent. The food is great - very fresh, and prepared just the right way. We travel a lot, and rarely the restaurants at hotels meet our expectation. We give this restaurant the highest rating. We had meat (mutton) and fish - everything was fresh and delicious. Our waiter Surrendra was so helpful and attentive to our requests. He is wonderful young man. These dinners made our stay in Kathmandu very enjoyable. Tourists from New York.

There are various tasty food variety in DAAWAT especially the JULAB JAMUN sweet, excellent customer service and respectful. Friendly staffs including the manager, Cleanliness of the restaurant is amazing too ✔👏 Classy atmosphere.

Superb, absolutely fantastic. The staff are so attentative and friendly. Gorgeous food. This is a fantastic place which I hope to return to.
