In all truth this posting should apply to all of the Chabad Houses that my wife and I have used over the years. Chabad has enabled us to have a haven to go to,to eat at,to spend a Shabbat,to meet other Jewish travellers over the years in such places as Cambridge UK, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Mumbai,Pushkar,New Delhi and Kathmandu. For orthodox Members of the Jewish faith, availability of food that meets with the restrictions necessary is of concern when travelling to areas where kosher food is unavailable. Chabad Houses meet these demands with the added warmth of providing centers all over the world. Their houses are open to all , no matter what degree of allegiance to the Jewish faith with no questions asked. The Rabbi in charge with their families provide a warm welcome to all those that enter their portals.....and Kathmandu was no exception.

This is one of the best place for Jewish people who are traveling to Nepal for their living. The owners of this chabad house not running this house profit making interest. They do for this to help helpless people. I am also providing many service to Israili tourist but they never asked any benefit . They just do service for helping hands. The own & run this work team of their family. I can 100% recommendation for this place those who are in problem in Nepal. I proud this family house Chabad House in Nepal & wish all the best for their social work .

I am not religious but decided to go to the Chabad House on a Friday night mostly out of curiosity. I was greeted by the most lovely people and was able to get a nice dinner with the local rabbi and mostly Israeli backpackers.

Rabbi Chesky is very helpful. There are two restaurants and both serve delicious kosher food for cheap prices.

Pleasant atmosphere.. They know how to treat customer other than Jewish very well. Best kosher food i have tried and without any fail hummus is damn good. If you don't change your mind then business will be 0. Like my mother failure 😭 pizza was worst 😞

Came two times, every time there was nobody but a very strange and limited in communication skills Nepali boy. No restaurant operating for sure.
