Definitely an highend place in Kathmandu to dine. Beautiful venue with large gallery like dining space just adjacent to one of the high end location and busy street of kathmandu at Lazimpat. The high ceiling gallery filled with chinese lamps and the mixed indoor outdoor setting makes the vibe of the place awesome. The quality if the place is lit to level next with the presence of library full of recent magazines and books. Good food, amazing vibes and good hospitality. One of the best place in Kathmandu i have dined. The timur mustang aalu and timur chicken are awesome.

Delicious pizza. But the amount of pasta could be a little more according to the price.

We ordered a non-veg breakfast around 9:30 today. We were served with hot glass of milk with a bowl of crunchy corn flakes, then arrived; masala omlette with two slice of breads and jelly-jam, a cup of mixed fruits (mango cubes, watermelon cubes and banana slices) together. A bit of pricey but it's fulfilling. Will visit again for the same. Previously I was here for the biryani, the waiter seemed responsible in explaining about the dish, and side dishes. He was very hospitable. Thank you CAFE LAVA.

I highly recommend this place. One of best restaurants, I have visit during my time in Kathmandu. The place is clean, has tables and coaches/sofa with restroom in upstairs that is clean. Even the server was nice enough to let my mom look at the recipe for one of there food(tampura). I would definitely come back again.

This review is strictly on the ambience of the place and not on menu! Except the coffee, which is super well made! This place is popular for it’s own charm, kudos to the ceiling paper lamp lights that make the entire restaurant vibrant when lit. The seating area is well spaced and appropriate for gatherings or dates. However, on my afternoon visit I was quite taken aback to see so much dust gather on the lamps that has visibly faded the color of the lamps when they weren’t lit. I hope they keep up on the maintenance of this restaurant. Visit on evenings for a great Date night 🙂

This is amazing place to spend time with your friends and family. Coffee is absolutely beaut of here. Other food and beverages are nicely served and tasty. It has wonderful roof which might stop you there for another 30 minutes. Kudos to their team who serve very amazing food.

In the context of ambience, the place looks good but the service and food was just satisfactory. We ordered pasta and mixed veg pizza. The cheese pull in the pizza was so unmanageable, with one bit all the cheese would leave the crust leaving you with only the crust on the other bites. The pasta was average. Also they don't have fonepay.

Excellent place and ambiance, super service n a good hot lemon with honey. But you would not want to have the pan grilled pork chop… it is pan fried. Was really disappointed with the pork chops. The Caesar salad’s dressing didn’t taste like Caesar dressing and had olives i. It..

The place has good vibes to it. The beverages are very unsatisfactory though. The servers are quite attentive, but the taste in their food kills the mood. The screen on the wall is excellent for watching sports in a big group. A so so place, lost its original taste and hospitality. Can go but not a must visit place.

I went here with my colleagues to have lunch. The food was good, esp the mustang aaloo. The momo was fine and all, but the pizza was substantially plain for my liking. Overall good food. They don't have phonepay. I was not able to make the payment via phonepay or bank transfer which will be the biggest drawback for me. I never carry cash on me so I have a strong reason to never go here again unless they figure out this issue.

Good place, nice ambience and good food. I went with a big family, about 14 people including very small children, and the staff gave absolute attention to us. The food was on time and the staff were always around catering our needs. All the food tasted great, although one of our dishes was a bit unclean. The manager however apologized and replaced the dish without issue Overall, I will recommend this place. When you are in a group, do try out the platter, absolute value for money

Mutton biryani was like fried rice with few pices of mutton ( all skin), Service was below par and the waiter wanted to get us off the place soon after were done with our food .. bill was brought to the table without being asked for .. overall terrible experience
