We are pure vegetarians and it's difficult to find a pure vegetarian Indian restaurant with good food in Kathmandu. I came across this restaurant through Google Maps. We went there. The place is a small restaurant that serves amazing good vegetarian Indian food. We are so happy with the restaurant that we will be eating here for the rest of our days in Kathmandu

It’s one the best restaurant serves 100% Vegetarian food including Jain food [without onion, garlic] for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Staff is very kind, humble. Quality and Service is really very very consistent. It’s located on a busy lane of Thamel, bit inside of a building, in corner of ground floor, easy to be missed. Its’s very simple, fresh, reasonably priced, with homely testy food. Their thalis are for better than other and full. I noted their tagline as mentioned ‘If You are satisfied tell others, if not, tell us.” this makes them to serve us better. Finally, Highly recommended 👍👌

They prepare fresh food as per instruction. Do not judge by chairs and table. Judge by their food. They prepare Jain food (without onion garlic) also on request. Indian currency is accepted and they give you change in NPR.

100% Vegetarian Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner in Thamel, Sardarji Tosi Great Hoa!, because of your restaurant and its delicious food you saved me a big one. (Sardarji handles the whole business alone and it self serve service. For the vegetarian visiting Thamel don't worry Satkar Hotel got you covered.) Amazing Tea.

One of the few restaurants that are cheap in compare to other places in Kathmandu, the boss here is a very hardworking women and it's more of a food joint than a restaurant. Only issue the paneer gravy had not used cream which made the food tangy than sweet(which it is supposed to be)

This is "the" place to eat Indian food in entire of Nepal. The food is fantastic ( very home like). Their Kheer is amazing and so is their masala buttermilk. After having stayed in Nepal for 20+ days, we were craving for Indian food and this place did not disappoint us. Their bhindi sabzi is also great. I highly recommend eating here. We had breakfast, lunch & dinner from this restaurant. All dishes were 👍

Small Punjabi Vegetarian restaurant tucked in at the end of the hall, offering many vegan options. Stop in and give it a try you will not be disappointed.

Went there for lunch and dinner several times because of the delicious, very flavourful and freshly cooked vegetarian food. Thalis where tasteful and refilled well. Definitely a gem in Kathmandu! Quiet spot despite being on a main street in Thamel.

I just happen to discover this place, since I was staying close by and this was the only place open at that hour. Undoubtedly, one of the most humble and delicious meals I had in Kathmandu. It's rare for me to visit a place again on tours, but, such was it's impact that, I went there again to eat. This place is tucked-in in corner of a ground floor of a building located in a busy lane of Thamel, easy to be missed. Trust me, the food is homely. Whatever you order, you'll not be disappointed. On my first visit, I ordered paneer bhurji with chapati and a missi roti. Next time, it was Thali. On both occasions, I could finish it all by myself, since the portions were large. Highly recommended.

Straightforward and quiet restaurant with excellent quality food. Service was great, and Thalis were delicious. It is a great vegetarian option in Thamel.

It's a savior as you hardly find pure vegetarian hotels in Khatmandu. Small but a great place, food is tasty, worth the price and people are great. It is located in the famous shopping area of Thamaal.

Almost everywhere in Kathmandu Nepal, a veg thali has repeated fill of veg curry/sabzi, daal and rice whereas here it is not refilled even once, quality is not enough for 1 person with just 2 small roti instead of 3 as shown in picture. The lady managing the kitchen is very rude and aggressive if you ask for more Daal or sabzi, charges are pretty high for that sort of service and food! Received almost Burnt roti and papad. Also the washroom was very smelly and dirty. Very unhygienic toilet to go to. People reach there in search of pure veg food but the insufficient food quantityto serve even one in one plate, long wait and super arrogant attitude of counter lady is surely a big no to visit this place again! Not recommended at all.

Pathetic experience but this is the only vegetarian restaurant nearby Thamel so tourists don’t have any other choice. They take 30-40 minutes approximately in preparation time and nobody listens to you and you have to go to the billing counter for order something. Food was okay.

I am reviewing this restaurant on behalf of my dad who ate at this establishment pretty much every day after his return from EBC. He raved about the delicious authentic vegetarian food he ate for low prices. He really enjoyed the thali and parathe.

Only attraction is vegetarian, but very average Dhaba, spicy food inspite of our saying that food should be less spicy. Don’t go by five star reviews only but if you like spicy food & are pure veg North Indian then you may

The food was good just not enough of it. We ordered thalis, we were served the smallest portion sizes ever seen and was told no refills......what? this is the only place in Nepal where I was not offered refills, we all left feeling ripped off and still hungry. Service was also poor.
