The place where I will for sure visit again but next time I will go early so that I could enjoy with all the floras around... Ticket costs Rs.50 for a normal person which is satisfactory rate as per the management inside the Garden. The coolness and peacefulness of the place pleases us in many ways. I would recommend every one to be there once and especially would suggest small ones to visit there so that they could get attachment with the beauty of nature. There's lot to explore in vegetation and flowers. Also, I would not forget to take snacks with me so that I can spend a day inside the garden and enjoy the food beside the running water.

Best place of overall Kathmandu valley where you can get lost into nature. Every age group can get closeness to the nature. this place is open all days throughout year except some special days. Enough parking space and spacious places. Lots of people visit on the weekend days. So this place is crowded on the weekends. On ecan arrange family gatherings and picnics nearby this botanical garden and enjoy views in this garden.

Its a beautiful public place, on Saturdays it remains quite busy. One can make a cheaper family trip out there. Local fruits - wild fruits in fact; can be tested. Apricot, Golden Berry, Bay Berry etc what you can try at inexpensive prices. Entry fees are pretty reasonable. If you have a spare day, its certainly a worthy spot to visit...

Botanical garden for gaining knowledge and for fun. Go with family. Saturday is the busiest day. Try to go on weekdays. Also you can buy plants and flowers. The price is reasonable. Ensure you have enough cash, no alternate. Allocate at least four hours to enjoy all the facilities. Unfortunately the garden is not accessible to persons with disabilities. Some advice to the management, add a cashless system and make it accessible to all the people. Also, add more collections of plants so that visitors can enjoy new items each time they visit. This will help more visitors.

It's an amazing place for recreation, visiting and entertainment. Greenery and well managed park . Lots of flowers and plants are one of the eye pleasing factors. Best spot to go for a dry picnic and to have a beautiful time with your family and friends in a low budget. And one thing, the people here are so good.

A lovely place to spend a day. Can go for dry picnic and have fun inside the garden. Lots of flowers and plants to observe. Small ponds are throughout the garden. They even have electric vehicle to go inside the garden with some amount for the vehicle. Spending a day inside the garden with food is perfect!

I am a big fan of this place. I have never been to this place before but got a chance to visit this pure natural place on Baisakh 11, 2079 for the first time. This place is amazing. I would call it the best natural park in whole Kathmandu valley. The area is covered with all the trees and greenery. I am a very big fan of nature since childhood, may be because of this reason, I love places like this. There is a river and a pond. There are flowers and trees. There are garden and playgrounds. It is so awesome place. If you are planning to have a small and short tour in Lalitput or in Kathmandu valley, this place shall be in your priority list !!

A great way to spend several hours walking around the botanical gardens. Bring friends or family! About a 30 minute drive South from the Kathmandu Ring Road. We kind of like the restaurant at at the main entrance but give them a little time to serve you. The map is terrible but just try to cover the main areas and greenhouses. Several nice streams and small waterfalls to find. Kids and fun-loving adults can spend some time putting their feet in the cool/cold stream waters.

Very busy very crowded on new years' day. Since Kathmandu has very limited place to enjoy the nature on weekends and holiday most people crowd this place to enjoy but the crowd wont let you enjoy the nature at all. The biggest and the most famous natural herbarium and park in valley definitely must visit place.

If you're a plant lover you definitely have to visit this place but I mostly recommend that the spring season is the best time to visit. Peaceful and beautiful environment with lots of colorful flowers and bird's singing added the more value furthermore you can go for dry picnic with family and friends where you can take all experiences in a single area. Besides these things there are parking, shops for food and toilet facilities also available. But plastic bags are not 🚫 allowed so be known about it.

It's a superbly designed garden near Kathmandu city. Took around 90 minutes to reach from Budhanilkantha to here. It's huge and extremely picturesque. There are different sections depicting a variety of plants. All plants are named, some have additional descriptions. It's a lovely educational experience for anyone who loves nature. Good place for a family outing.

The ticket says: “polythene free zone” The park was full of plastic and trash. There are trash bins everywhere. However visitors don’t use it. The botanical garden should promote awareness about respecting nature. For foreigners is 500 nrs. The park itself is not worth it, but arriving there and scaling for the city for half a day it is.

One of the beautiful and peaceful place apart from the crowded city. National Botanical Garden is the best place to visit. This place is commonly known as Godavari park. If you are interested on plants and garden then this is the right place to visit. Apart from that this place is best for picnic and shooting. Because this place is just like a open studio. Botanical garden protects all the natural flora and it's environment. Here you can buy different varieties of plants like indoor and outdoors. Botanical garden authorities provide various information on planting and protecting. Most of the people visit this place for picnic because this place have a wonderful aura. You need tickets to visit this place. While entering this place you have to mention your visit plan, before buying entry tickets so that it'll easy for you and the authorities. You will have to pay certain fees for video shooting here. Outside this garden you will find so many restaurants. One small cafe is inside ticket counter so you can enjoy there too. Restroom facilities as well as picnic spots are available here so that anyone can enjoy here. Very nice and peaceful as well as beautiful environment. Here you can do dry picnic so that it won't affect the atmosphere of this place. Ideal place for shootings, meeting, dating, gathering etc. Overall I had a wonderful experience and more to explore. Love to visit this place again and again. Thank you!

It is the living museum of plant. The garden has been working in conservation of indigenous plants of Nepal and in collecting them for scientific research as well as educational and recreational purpose. The garden is surrounded by rich natural forests with sections of the garden that are populated by ornamental plants and flowers. The garden is known for its grand landscape and rich biodiversity There is orchid house, wetland flora, tropical house, rock garden which constituents as the major attractions of the place. It also accommodates some rare as well as indigenous species of flowers and some rare varieties of plants, it is an ideal place for educational visit, especially for the students of botany. The place observes the immense presence of students coming here for their educational tours, couples spending quality time with each other, family and friends coming here for picnic, and also shooting crews for the shoot of videos. The ideal time to visit the garden is during spring and autumn when the plants and flowers are in full bloom. The National Botanical Garden is open every day, all year round

Godavari botanical garden is a 81 ha area on the foothill of Pholchoki mountain, a highest peak in the mountains surrounding Kathmandu Valley. It is about 22 km from Kathmandu city centre. Public vehicles are available from local bus stop near Nepal Airlines head office. Sajha has direct comfortable buses to Godavari but frequency is less may be @ 20 minutes. Another option is from Lagankhel where frequency is more. The garden itself is small and not well maintained but the whole and mountains nearby are lush green and great. The place is worth visiting. Hotels, restaurants and shops exist near by. A natural spring with high discharge is a must visit. There is 12 year Kumbha Mela in the spring and sprouts area, next one is in 4 years from now.

A welcome little oasis on the outskirts of Lalitpur. For residents of increasingly concretized and dusty Kathmandu Valley, this garden may feel like a literal breath of fresh air. It is also now easier to reach thanks to the newly paved Sat Dobato-Godavari Road. It is a well-kept and multifunctional space for leisurely strolls, immersive nature experience, introduction to botanical species, runs/walks or a picnic in the park (no cooking allowed). Since this is a polythene free zone, please leave any microplastics at home (or you will be asked to throw them before entering). There is some room for improvements. For instance, it would be lovelier if they also disallowed food wrappers (including chips and chocolate packets). The flora/fauna in ponds also seemed in need of attention. Overall great place for both kids and adults alike. Parts of the park are also accessible to people with disabilities. They also have an e-vehicle (at extra charge) as an alternative way to see the park. I would recommend to take your time and stay the whole day if you can!

The National Botanical Garden in Godawari offers a beautiful and peaceful place to visit, with a wide variety of plant species and educational programs. There is limited information and signage available about the plant species and other features of the garden. You can also buy plants. This place is mainly frequented by couples and individuals who come for picnics.

I recently visited the highly acclaimed NB Garden, and I must say, it was a thoroughly disappointing experience. The garden was far from well-maintained. The pathways were unkempt and littered with fallen leaves. Another issue was the severe lack of variety in plant species. I expected to be greeted by a vibrant assortment of flowers, shrubs, and trees. Furthermore, the amenities provided were sorely lacking. The seating areas were uncomfortable and in desperate need of repair. It seemed as though the garden management had no regard for the comfort of its visitors. Additionally, the absence of clean restroom facilities was a major inconvenience and detracted from the overall experience. The lack of organization and signage within the garden only added to the confusion. There was a distinct absence of maps or information boards, leaving visitors like myself to wander aimlessly, unsure of what we were looking at or where to go next. This lack of guidance made it nearly impossible to appreciate the few highlights the garden did offer. All in all, my visit to the NB Garden was a complete letdown. The poor maintenance, limited plant variety. I would strongly advise anyone considering a visit to seek out alternative gardens that prioritize quality and visitor satisfaction.

This place is ideally located in the foothills of Kathmandu Valley. Surrounded with lust nature, trees, flowers and chirping birds, this place is a nestle for people around here. Plastic bag is not allowed inside when you show it but allowed when you hide it. Tickets ranges from Rs20 for students to Rs 50 for Nepalese adults.

Beautiful place to visit, capture photos and videos. Moreover, this place is best for students of Botany which is branch of biology that deals with plants. I have been there for uncountable times yet I am always excited to visit. One of the largest and best garden one can find in Nepal.

👍 It doesn't take long to hike, and nature will keep you entertained and refreshed. The view from the top of the hill is peaceful. Once you leave the main road, the condition of the hillside roads is not that good.
