Its quite affordable as well. The hotel has comfortable rooms with several amenities such as cable TV, Telephone, hair dryer, attached washrooms, and above everything else very comfortable beds. The hotel provides free wifi as well. Helpful and friendly staff of this hotel have always won our heart. I highly recommend for travelers..

Just attended my friend wedding reception in there. The Calmness and Ambience of the place is just wow. We almost forget the busy Lazimpat road outside just being near to it. Will sure return.

Nice traditional Hotel. Kinda old but I like it. It’s the character of the Hotel. Staff are accommodating and nice. Unfortunately, food is not great.

Beautiful ambience but I wouldn't recommend it for big events. Was there for a wedding at the end of June and it was really stuffy. Food was okay but service was very slow

A hotel with exquisite trational look attracts tourist and visitors those who have a taste and appreciation for traditional ambiance and hospitality.

The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are adequate but nothing fancy, even though it all could use an upgrade, it was fine for Kathmandu.

This hotel is well known hotel in Kathmandu. If you are going on here by following Google map, be aware. Google map show you way from side of the Trisara but there is no any way. You have to go from Hotel Radisson side. They have a good and free parking space. I went there to attend the function. There is two open average size of open space with the swimming pool. They also have a stage which is in Nepali tradition. They also have a bar b q place. This place is good for average size party . They have a dining hall separately which is great. Food is good and tasty with a variety. Thank you!!!

I stayed here for 5 nights during my first visit to Kathmandu. The hotel architecture is breathtaking 😍 the building has that old world charm, and you fall in love with it right at first sight. The location is very central and has lots of options for shopping and eating out. The hotel staff is super friendly and welcoming. They were there to help with anything I needed help. The food served was delicious and had the perfect balance of flavour and aroma. It's definitely my first choice of stay while in Kathmandu

I am only reviewing about their food as it's the only thing I have had there with my clients - a film crew. For a 3 star hotel, the veg curry they brought was not worth more than 2 stars but I am being generous here and giving 1 extra as a benefit of doubt regarding their other service. To repeat, the food was horrible.

Stayed here before and after a 3 week trekking tour. Located in a quiet road with a number of other “high-end” hotels that provides a peaceful environment to enjoy. The room you have can be a bit of a lottery - my first room had a window that looked out on a brick wall 1 meter in front but for my second stay the room was wonderful with a small balcony overlooking the garden and swimming pool. In the room you have complimentary water and coffee/tea facilities. However, overall the rooms would benefit from a refresh. The service is very friendly across the hotel. Everyone does their best to serve. Breakfast is good - mix of western and local dishes. Location wise you can easily walk to the center (Thamel) - a few roads to cross but walk at a steady pace and with confidence and the traffic will drive around you! And the airport is 10/15 minutes away. There are many restaurants near the hotel to eat in the evening. Overall, a very good choice for those staying in Kathmandu.

Our group stayed here for two nights in November 2023. The breakfasts were good - plenty of choice, and nice food. We only ate here the first evening, but again there was a good choice and the food was nice. The rooms were clean and very pleasant. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my two days here.

It is an old hotel with an interesting style with some parts resembling a temple. The staff were friendly, helpful, and had usually smiling face. There were good restaurants near to hotel. However the rooms were old and cold and the breakfast was not satisfying. Reusable slippers presented in the rooms were also interesting.

Really lovely hotel with a quiet and peaceful garden. Clean rooms with good service. Love the heritage decor as well. About 20 mins walk to Thamel shopping area or about Rs. 300 taxi ride away.

Pathetic stay experience! It should not call itself 3 star - full room of mosquitos - soiled floors - you have to get your own water from the ground floor - the size of the bathroom is laughable - no housekeeping after 10

This hotel is pecuilar as the facade suggests old building with carved arches and statues beutifully superimposed/ meshed with the exterior walls but modern interiors with all facilities. Staff is friendly and prompt, like all hotel staff in Nepal.

It's very beautiful. It takes you into this silence and calmness in the hotel itself. It will make you feel like home. I love the energy.

Absolutely fantastic place if you're an art and culture enthusiast. You can learn a lot about the Nepalese heritages, especially about the Newars!

Great location for walking to the Thamil neighbourhood (where all the bars are) but you’re not in the middle of the chaos and noise. There is a good breakfast place 2 min outside of the hotel (Organic Smoothie Bowl and Cafe) for coffee, smoothies, and fresh breakfast items. The rooms weren’t the cleanest but it was manageable.

This hotel is a lovely, tranquil oasis in the heart of the city. But it loses one star (I was tempted to subtract two) for not having a working internet connection. In a 4 star hotel in 2022, this is just not OK. Backpacker hostels have good internet. I was there for work, and not having internet meant I couldn't get things done. But even if you aren't working, you need an internet connection to research the local area, find your next accommodation and check flights. Other minor niggles include the fact that they don't service rooms unless you ask them to (I had to go to reception to ask if I could please have some toilet paper), and they charge quite a lot extra for any taxis they book.
