This hostel is very peaceful location and homely environment with such friendly staffs and very well service. Food are very testy and good price. Also room is very comfortable and clean with nice hot and cold shower .Beautiful Ananda Garden restaurant breakfast lunch dinner bar fresh beans coffee with good Wi-Fi. I have been stay a month this hostel I really satisfy from service and place. So I recommended this place to all new visitors. For me it was the perfect location for the last 3 nights of my Nepal trip - tucked away in a pretty quiet area but still with good access to Thamel and not far from the airport. Enjoyed relaxing by the fire in the evenings. Recommend for anyone looking to chill and relax for a bit in Kathmandu.

Really good place to stay in Katmandu. Sunny and the rest of the people are super nice. You really feel like home. The area is safe and quiet, good to rest. The food is also really good and they have a cute garden with tables. They also helped us a lot with questions we had and the trekking we wanted to do. We would go back for sure. Sunny is the best host ever! He took personal interest in us and we had some nice conversations. The rest of the staff is also exceptionally nice! I liked the hostel so much that I came back for a second stay bring a couple of friends. Even booking one night in advance I could get two rooms and everyone was happy to see us again. The food and coffee were really good!

This is a secure, quiet location within walking distance of any amenities you may need. The people who run the place are absolutely amazing, above and beyond helpful! Always better than the rest, off the beaten track!

The best thing about this hotel is the hospitality. Sunny is an amazing, warm hearted kind person and you can tell he treats the staff in the same demeanor. You feel safe and welcomed here with his first smile. First the price is the best in the vicinity ( save some $$). I loved this location (outside of the busy thamel areas and only a 70 cent grab ride pretty much anywhere.) I had a square loop of my favorite places all within walking distance (great coffee shops, yoga studio, lunch spot) I dont know how they can have such an amazing restaurant with prices so cheap. I dont get it, but i welcome it. Great location for people who do not require much other than the basic necessities and want to support local nepalese humans. Oh and I met some great people here, so its a mini vortex of like minded travelers and explorers. This is not a party spot.

Sunny and his team will welcome you and make you feel at home in an instant. The menu is varied and all cooked fresh. A 5-10 minutes walk off the main road but it's enough to make you feel safe and peaceful from the endless hussle that is Katmandu. Rooms are very basic but excellent value for money and I'd recommend this place for the staff/ service alone.

It's a really good place to rest and eat, the food is delicious and all the people there are really kind. If you like to walk the hotel is around 30min to Thamel. The rooms are simple but clean. I enjoyed my time there, thanks!

This was our first stay in Nepal and it was great. Sunny and his team work hard to prove best experience to their guests. They even invited us to spend a special holiday with their family in the countryside, experiencing culture and trying real countryside food and drinks! Next time we go to Kathmandu we'll stay here again for sure.

They were extremely accommodating and allowed us to check in early at like 10am. We got to hotel super early and I didn’t wanna wait. So this was a big plus. The sevice was exceptional as well. Would definitely send a friend there.The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff were amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making customers happy is their main priority. Food is pretty good, some American, Chinese, French, Indian and Nepalese classics and some twists, and for their prices it’s 100% worth it. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Kathmandu.

I went to Best Hostel to relax and get away from busy Thamel for a few days. The quiet side-street and comfortable rooms guarantee a restful night's sleep, and the beaut garden filled with birds & flowers became my new favourite reading spot. Staff go above and beyond to make sure you're looked after and the food (Nepali and continental) is goood. Feels good to come back to this place.
