Nice and affordable hostel, conveniently located in the edge of Thamel (quiet location). They got different type of dorm beds, from 350rs to 400rs. The different rooms are around a small garden with few places to chill and socialize. The facilities are clean and there's an hot shower (with gas). The only problem, some rooms are next to the garden, so there some noise (other guests chatting). Good place and worth your money nevertheless.

Such good vibes ❤️ the gig performance was amazing, the flute and harmony 👌👌 we stayed at Newa Home hotel which is just a few steps around the corner (along a quiet street) and the hotel owner suggested to check out Secret Garden. We came back twice cos we really liked the chicken briyani. Highly recommend!!

Place is just as what the name states, secret gem place. We asked guitar to jam on our own with friends, they brought in the guitar and we had a good jam and fun with friends. Food tasted good as well as customer service was awesome. They are very friendly. Love this place and love the vibe.

Looooove this spot ! Such a fantastic discovery. Comfortable little hideaway in KTM. And if you visit this location, also make sure you go to the Phat Kath in the hills of Ichangu just behind Swoyambunath !!!!

This is a very successful revival. Cool atmosphere of good food to be nibbled around a good cocktail. Texmex atmosphere

The staff at this hostel are very nice. I stayed several times when I visited Kathmandu and had many adventures. It has a very communal vibe. There is an upstairs chill space, and a small courtyard to hang out and eat. Food is decent. I stayed both in dorms, which are just that, dorms, so not much privacy, but cheap, the affordable single rooms are decent. As far as hostels go this a good option for the young intrepid traveller, but not luxurious, and filled with travellers, musicians and bohemians and students, playing music and other things sometimes until very late. Location wise it's a walk to downtown Thamel. There are some Nepali restaurants and fast food carts around very close to the hostel and the general area is a nice Nepali vibe. I remember the gate being closed late at night but somehow we always got inside. Good place for the young buck to get stuck!

We went there with some boys for dine. Food was nice and had some better taste options. Ambience wise was peaceful and perfect with acoustic live music.

We came for food and drinks, lovely spot to chill out with ambient music. Staff are very polite and friendly. Also there's a cat and her kittens hanging out 😁

Outstanding restaurant with very good food for reasonable price. Staff is very nice and helpfull. I really appreciate open kitchen where you can see high hygienic standard. During weekends life music performace of local bands and singers.

When they say secret garden it very nearly is. You have to look for it and you can easily miss it. I remember phat khat from pokhara years ago. Anyway after you find it you'll discover a cosy cafe/bar with great coffee and food, a few live music nights etc. It's tucked away just outside of thamel.
