Everything was great. I am so grateful to have found this place to stay during the lockdown. The family is just amazing. They make me feel at home and were really helpful. The mother is the best cooker ever and the son, who manage the hostel knows a lot of things. It's really interesting to talk with him, I learn a lot. The bed was so comfortable, I slept like a baby. Hot shower, clean bathroom. Very pleasant to chill on the rooftop with an amazing 360 view. Food is the best, so delicious 😍. Thank you so much for everything

Wonderful stay with the Arjohn family ! The location is ideal for Katmandu, it's in a small and calm street and not far from the Tamel area. Arjohn was the best host during our travel in Nepal. He made us feel really comfortable during our stay and he was always here to help us and give us recommandations for the trek ! His mother also cooked some amazing food (100% recommend) I will definitely recommend this place. Thank you Arjohn !

Although Goldwn Buddha was supposed to have hot water, they pretended not to know about the fact that there was a big plumbing mistake that rerouted the hot water somewhere and we didn't get any hot water in the shower. They eventually fixed it, but it took some time. Their food is delicious, but calculating your bill at the end is difficult and full of misunderstandings. Overall, we didn't like our experience there.

Excellent, Family-run hostel located on the cuff of the tourist-centric Thamel region. I chose this place based off of previous reviews and for having a reputation of being a quiet, relaxing hostel. It definitely lived up to that. With an incredible rooftop sporting 360 degree views of Kathmandu and an in-house dining area run by Mom herself, this place is ideal. I'd highly recommend booking at least one night here at Golden Buddha

This wonderful little gem of a place is located in centralised area far away from the craziness of Tamel, but close enough so your minutes away. While staying, I had the opportunity to meet the entire family. What's to say, other than there family became part of mine. I had a wonderful welcome drink. All 3 Brothers are amazing people with a diverse background. At times we would just talk, talk and talk, viewing KTM from their beautiful rooftop. There price was affordable and worry every penny, the water was the hottest I experienced during my stay in KTM, and the WiFi was never an issue. You won't regret staying here. Book it and have a wonderful homestay with a great local family

In a good location, very quite from all the noise just 5 min walk from Thamel, is a great choice for low budget travellers, the owner, the family and the stuff are very friendly and kind people and you can feel the family atmosphere! The place is quite new, clean and more important have good hot showers!! There is also a restaurant and common area and three nice terrace that you can chill out! I really enjoy with other travellers the nights on the terrace, warming up with fire and the owner played the guitar! I planned to stay only few days but I really enjoyed the place so I end up to stay 6 days.. I will definitely come back after my trekking!! Thanks so much

Great place with large and clean dorms, cheap food for orders from the hostel kitchen, rooftop hangout area and surrounding views, water dispenser (free), Wi-Fi available on all floors, cheap bus tickets & taxis can be arranged, 5-10 mins walk to Thamel area, Ason Bazaar and Durbar Square. What made the stay really pleasant was the wonderful hospitality by Arjohn and his family. They went the extra mile to make my stay comfortable and hassle-free. I would definitely stay here again.

Definitely a great value for the low price. Golden Buddha is a new family-ran business and all the family was doing their best for their guests' comfort. They also make cheap and tasty breakfasts, lunches and dinners (typically dal bhat for 150 Rs but there's more options) for you. The hostel is located just outside of Thamel (5 mins walk) in a calm residential neighbourhood.

The staff is really nice and welcoming, as well as helpful in providing us with free extra blankets (it gets quite cold at night) and helping us with bus tickets to Pokhara! Also the view from the roof is amazing. The Wi-Fi also works really well!

Really good hotel run by the nicest family, very kind and helpful. The mama cooks delicious meals for you! Loved my stay there, I recommend
