My
wife
and
I
who
is
of
Indian
heritage,
booked
online
and
arrived
early
in
the
morning
after
a
night
bus
from
pokhara.
We
were
greeted
by
a
staff
member
who
took
our
details
and
said
to
come
back
around
8am
as
our
room
would
be
ready
then.
First
impressions
were
pretty
bad
as
luggage
storage
room
smells
like
urine
and
there
was
papers
thrown
over
the
floor
in
reception.
So
we
went
to
have
some
breakfast
and
came
back
at
830
and
sat
and
waited
as
there
was
no
body
on
reception.
Around
10
mins
later
a
guy
came
in
off
the
street
and
started
asking
talking
to
another
person
who
was
also
waiting
to
book
some
tickets.
After
the
staff
member
was
done
he
came
directly
over
to
my
wife
who
was
seated
on
the
couch
by
herself
and
told
her
to
get
up
and
leave.
We
quickly
said
no
we
have
a
booking
and
are
waiting.
He
continued
to
be
rude,
and
didn't
even
offer
an
apology.
We
said
we
have
been
waiting
for
our
room
as
we
checked
in
earlier
and
why
is
he
talking
to
us
like
that.
Assuming
because
my
wife
is
brown
she
was
not
welcome
in
this
hostel.
After
that
we
left
and
and
found
a
another
place
nearby
called
Holy
Lodge,
very
friendly
and
welcoming
staff,
nice
relaxed
court
yard
with
good
food.
The
small
minded
receptionist from
Thamel
Hostel
is
pictured.
