I just visited out the hospital seems to be fine but nt much good as i thought cause private and public differ in terms of facilities. Ticket cost about 50 per person. The doctor that i consult with were so busy that they leave in middle of Check up for food time with saying go to another room.much careless and disgusting things that even can't wait for a minutes .

Nepal eye hospital is the first hospital in Nepal dedicated to eye care service established in the year 1973. Before the establishment of this historical. I have been to Nepal Eye Hospital, Tripureshwor a couple of times to get my eyes checked. Some doctors are highly professional and caring but not all of them are same some of them are very rude and don't care about their patients, they care more about their break then their patients who are waiting for their reports. However, due to large number of patients visiting this hospital, some delays do occur in receiving check-ups and treatment which is due to lack of management. It would be better if they could adopt more effective and innovative queue management. And their was no coordination about how long would it take the report to arrive. I have to wait for 5hrs after my sergey just to get my medicine description. Worst system ever, no system at all. Some doctors are not available and information are not passed through patients completely. If someone knows the internal people then only you will get service on time otherwise you will be keep waiting without proper info.

I had a pretty good experience as a whole. It will cost you Rs100 for registration. Doctors are very friendly but they could be more dedicated towards their patient to be honest. I am very happy that they are giving good service even during the pandemic. It took me around 20-30 minute for whole process. Varieties of glasses at very reasonable price but it is not mandatory to buy a glass in same hospital although doctor recommend you to buy. Ps:- Parking will cost you Rs10. Lol

I usually stereotype government hospital as not trustworthy as private hospital but today nepal eye hospital broke my stereotype.Three years prior, one of the reputed eye hospital diagnosed my eyes problem so called 'amblyopia' in my left eye.  Because of that i had gone through stressed and anxiety. Afterwards, i started to do thorough research. While researching i came to know about of Dr. Raju kaiti sir who is refractive specialist of nepal eye hospital. His humble consultation made me much easier to ask some queries. At the same time,he urged to get my eyes checked for confirmation  and Today i went to Nepal Eye Hospital and get proper eye checked up by him. After some examination my eyes is confirmed no amblyopia. Therefore today i am so elated to know my eyes is no more amblyopia while at the same time i feel so weird because of mistook examination or misdiagnosed by previous so called best eye hospital in country. However i found Nepal eye hospital far better than other. I feel elation, It was a very nice experience there. Also had a great experienced with Dr. Raju sir. Thanks to him and Nepal eye hospital for satisfying examination and treatment. Highly recommend to every eye patient.

I went there yesterday for a check up. The place is quite well lit up with lights. Nepal eye hospital has a charge of 100 for new patients. The doctor appointed was very professional and done her job ver well. Token system has been introduced here for management of queue. While your turn for registration comes one can wait on the chairs placed. Then you have to wait for another some time to get checked where you will again be given a token. Even with the token system the management floods the check up room with many paitients at a time over crowding the place. After being checked up you are instructed by the doctor on where to go. Overall it was quite satisfactory than other hospitals.

The place is nicely organized. The staffs are friendly you can ask them for directions. One of the staff even lead me to washroom by himself. Hospital is well equipped with the instrument and doctors are friendly as well. New registration take only Rs. 100.

Very nice for eye checkup. Was such an good experience. If you don't like queue and crowd, you can pay little extra for "private ticket" which is way way way less crowded.

They have created very good service system. Waiting hall is cleaned. Firstly you have to issue a card which is chargeable first time visit fee is rs 100 and repeated one is 80rs. They issue a card for first time visitor. This is fee for general checking of eye.

Bit crowdy but very cheap. Doctors are professional and polite. However reception service is poor. P.S The staff at OPD waiting area is so full of attitude and rude, it's almost laughable. One suggestion is to hire polite and helpful staffs to ease the patients.

Having been established in 1974, this eye hospital stands as a pioneer in Nepal. During a holiday visit, I was pleasantly surprised to find it relatively empty. The efficiency was remarkable – I got my eye test done within 10 minutes and exited the hospital in just 30 minutes. The quick service made my visit convenient.

Nepal Eye Hospital, a pioneering institution that has been dedicated to providing comprehensive eye care services for over five decades. Established in 1974, we are the first and foremost eye hospital in Nepal, bearing the responsibility of serving the eye care needs of approximately 20 million people in the nation. Our journey began out of a pressing need for specialized eye care, as eye services were initially available at Bir Hospital, a government-owned general hospital with limited eye care facilities. Recognizing this need, Nepal Eye Hospital was officially founded in March 1974, thanks to the visionary leadership of Dr. Ram Prasad Pokharel, an eminent ophthalmologist, and other like-minded individuals. Over the years, the hospital has grown significantly, receiving continuous financial support from the Government of Nepal’s Ministry of Health and Population. We have evolved into a fully equipped modern facility with six state-of-the-art operation theaters and cutting-edge eye care equipment. On average, we serve over 600 patients every day, and our team comprises 14 highly qualified and dedicated doctors, representing various ophthalmic sub-specialties. Nepal Eye Hospital was established with a dual mission. First, we are committed to offering the finest eye care services in the region using the most advanced technology, with a focus on prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. We firmly believe that quality eye care should be accessible to all, regardless of caste, creed, or economic background. Second, we have played a pivotal role in training ophthalmic professionals within the country, contributing to the development of our nation’s eye care resources. As a testament to our dedication, we have engaged in scientific research, utilizing our own resources to the fullest. While we operate as a non-governmental organization (NGO), the Government of Nepal continues to provide essential financial support to our mission. In our unyielding commitment to improving eye care and patient services, Nepal Eye Hospital has recently undergone a significant transformation. Our Outpatient Department (OPD) and Operation Theater (OT) blocks have been thoughtfully renovated, creating a more patient-friendly setup. These upgrades were designed to enhance the overall experience of our patients, ensuring that they receive the best care in a comfortable and modern environment. We are continually striving to evolve and innovate, not only in our medical practices but also in our facility to better serve the eye care needs of the people of Nepal. In our pursuit of excellence, we have forged partnerships with esteemed institutions such as Operation Eyesight Universal in Canada and maintain strong ties with LV Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI). At Nepal Eye Hospital, we are committed to expanding our collaborations with both national and international organizations dedicated to advancing ophthalmic services. Our mission remains unwavering: to provide exceptional eye care, train the next generation of eye care professionals, and conduct innovative research to improve eye health.

And you can get about 40 to 50% off if you are NIJAMATI KARMACHARI (CIVIL SERVICE). One thing i didn'...
