I think it's worse hospital I ever used, less doctor, less cleaning system, and terrible food (I've been diarrhea because of foods in this hospital). You shouldn't to be the international hospital if you have to be like this. Not everything worse, nurses, she was friendly, kindly, and take care.

I am very grateful for the good care I recieved here. I was rescued at high altitude by helicopter after getting Acute Altitude Sickness. I was collected from the Airport by an ambulance from this hospital. The investigations and treatment were very thorough. Most staff speak good English (l am from UK). The hospital specialises in mountain related medicine. The food is good and I think is brought in from an expensive cafe outside. There is some flexibility away from the menu. All in all a necessary but good experience given I was ill.

The lack of communication between nursing staff concerning medications and treatment is extremely worrisome. I was given a double dose of a medication that should not have been given. The doctors and nurses have directed me with different instructions countless times. Staff does not show any concern and failed to respond to the emergency buzzer in my room (that they changed on me three times during my week long stay) every instance. Nurses were rude, cut corners and demonstrated a lack of concern for patients' well-being. I wish I had requested to be taken to CIWEC Clinic instead. Swacon lacks etiquette and care.

When I stayed it was ok. They forgot to take my lunch order one day and when I received dinner it was raw. I came back today for my test results and file and waited an hour and a half. Asked 5 times how long to wait and whats happening. The reception staff are so unhelpful and they ignore me when I stand there asking whats happening and continue to talk amongst them selve and giggle and roll their eyes when I ask questions. Hopefully I never have to come back here again (to the hospital) very unprofessional.

This is a pure scam hospital who wants to milk money from western insurance companies. Childish staff, very non-professional. Like a high school. Start giving treatments that are totally unnecessary and forgetting patients requests. Avoid this clown hospital by all means!!!!

I have not been treated by this hospital but recently in the wake of Everest deaths that happened in May 2019, I found out on an NYT article that this hospital which caters to Everest faring foreigners as well, is allegedly engaged in INSURANCE FRAUD. You can read more about it from here: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/09/04/world/asia/nepal-everest-rescue-fraud.html?module=inline It is also blacklisted by some insurance companies for that reason. I would suggest visitors, trekkers and mountainers to stay away from this clinic if the allegations are indeed true.

I’ve been here in March 2020 for 5 days because I got ill in a rural area. My German doctor was impressed when he saw the documentation later on. I wouldn’t have got such an intense and precise treatment in Germany. They even took me to a CT scan in Kathmandu. I felt very comfortable and well treated the whole time. Thanks :)

These guys were fabulous. They got on with assessment and treatment of my wife without delay. Then set us up in a joint room and kept us fed and treatment continued Like all hospitals it takes time to find things out and there were the normal delays dealing with the insurance company to confirm payment. Something anyone who has dealt with an insurance company has had. Given what we wanted was speedy, thorough treatment and everything else is secondary it was a comforting place to be sent.

Do yourself a favor and avoid this hospital! Many insurance companies do not collaborate with them because they are known to scam tourists. They will treat you for things just in order to charge you. I had a very very expensive and creepy visit here and i wish i went elsewhere.

The doctors are ok. The nurses can be clueless. Communication is pretty bad. If you need an insurance claim the admin staff for that provide zero information/ communication. After the doctor medically discharges you just sit around for 4+ hours waiting for the insurance to get sorted. I understand it takes time but TALK TO ME! Fun fact: every meal comes with a spoon and never a fork - even eggs on toast.

The clinic works professionally, the doctors and nursing staff are consistently friendly and English-speaking. In my opinion, the clinic's equipment corresponds to German/European standards. It must certainly be taken into account that the target group is probably exclusively tourists.

😠 Have seen waiting for token or for doctor's appointment but never have been to a hospital which charges so much still don't have equipment for a simple PFT test.
