I highly recommend the teaching hospital for its exceptional care, experienced staff, cutting-edge medical technology, and commitment to medical education. Patients receive top-notch treatment, and the hospital's emphasis on training future healthcare professionals ensures a high standard of care. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and offers a wide range of medical specialties. Overall, it's a top choice for medical care and learning opportunities.

Sorry to give 1 star but recently I visit this hospital with my mom and everyone is waiting for their turn but before our turn they are taking other people who are their friends and relatives and we talk about this with the staff who was calling name.. but the doctor inside said " You can go to other hospital if u bargain I will not checkup" as a government doctor they are saying like this... and this thing is happening in every department so I request please everyone is sick and everyone has valuable time don't give priority to friends and relatives give priority to children and old age.

One of the best hospitals in Nepal. It is government owned and offers almost every health service a complete hospital has to offer. The doctors here are known to be the best in Nepal. The hospital is spread out in large area so the department you are looking for may be hard to locate in the beginning. As far as cleanliness goes, its okay and not as pristine as you would want a top class hospital to be. The wait is almost always tiring before getting seen by a doctor. Its a government hospital so its pretty cheap and affordable by almost everyone. The nursing care is not the best. Its probably because government hospitals never have enough employees or maybe they are not organized. Either way, a patient can expect to get low care.

Not sure if its the immaturity or bad upbring of these pathetic peoples. Better go to the private hospitals with a little extra cost than to be disrespected by every staffs from receptionist to guards. The doctor was quiet professional compared to the rest of barely important staffs. Tinaharuko bau kai k khaideko jasto...

Please know, some of the doctors don’t know how to treat people, firstly, they do a wrong medication and then a patient suffers due to the wrong medication and when patient's life becomes critical, they're just in rush to discharge, even though patient is not cured. Doctors argue and fight with patients' families😭😭. I lost my mom due to their wrong prescription of medicine. Government should take stern steps regarding these unscrupulous new comer doctors. 😭 PLEASE NEVER BE IN THIS SO CALLED, "TEACHING HOSPITAL”. BETTER GO TO PRIVATE THEY TREAT US FAR BETTER 😭 👎Teaching hospital is a big shame in the name of hospital , they're just playing with patients lives👎

Namaste. If any of your family members is not doing well then please don’t take them to this hospital of frustrated, rude and unprofessional doctors. Yes you read it right “doctors” are super unprofessional and better not talk about their juniors. They learn from their senior i.e. unprofessional doctors who are doctors just because they have Dr. in front of their name. They don’t know how to treat people specially elderly. They literally have zero respect, we as a kid, teen or adult can tolerate their disrespect somehow but the disrespect and rudeness to elderly? The “doctors” and other staffs didn’t just shouted at me and my mom but they called a fight with my granddad who was asking for a checkup for my grandmom. PLEASE NEVER BE IN THIS SO CALLED “GOVERNMENT HOSPITAL”. BETTER GO TO PRIVATE THEY TREAT US MORE BETTER AND THE BILLS OF PRIVATE AND THIS HOSPITAL IS ALSO SAME I PROMISE.

It is quite hectic to meet the doctor because most of us get confused regarding the procedure of where and whom to talk the next. It would be very easy if you can get appointment from the app of this hospital and you can have a direct access to the OPD Card from the counter without having to stay in a long queue.

This is too inform the government of Nepal in side the country there is no doctor no medical facilities for poor people but everywhere politics politicians is easily available people's are coming from very far away believe that in the capital city of Kathmandu techning hospital provides better service with good doctor's treatment but for one surgery or operation of thyroid hospital doctor telling the patient to come after 4 months to check the operation date that even not sure is this the way of the Nepal government running the government hospital just as they're running their politics by politicians well if you're mother sister or any family members got sick or need any emergency surgery or operation then if you going to face what I am facing now in Kathmandu techning hospital then maybe one of you people feel the pain and sufferness just like me helplessness Every one is not wealthy rich who can afford expensive treatment but we are going to pay the hospital in government hospital much as we can we didn't ask for free anything.. hope who feels they will understand the situation ongoing in Kathmandu techning hospital

Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital is the first Hospital and a landmark in the evolution of medical education in Nepal, which was established in 1983AD. Being the integral part of Tribhuvan University, this hospital has been working on education, research and medical treatment services. It has been a practical place and platform for the medical students to learn and conduct medical research projects and on the other hand as a hospital it renders best and affordable healthcare facilities to the people of Nepal. During the time of its establishment, 36 years back, this hospital was established as a general hospital with 301 beds and there were hardly 300 outdoor patients a day. But now, with the passage of time there has been a drastic change in the infrastructure and healthcare facilities. Today the number of beds has increased from 300 to 700 along with the expansion of advanced Intensive Care Unit, separate Emergency building, Pediatric Building, ENT and Orthopedic Building. The expansion of Emergency building has made us able to provide the facilities related to emergency and mass casualty care appropriately to the patients. Due to best health care facilities, super specialty care and affordable treatment, it has been able to gain the trust of the people from all over the nation. This hospital is the first choice of the people despite availability of newly constructed private hospitals with sophisticated infrastructure in the city.

ER service is horrible and disorganized. If you are lucky to b the first few in the ER... That good. But as the patients accumulate you feel totally helpless. Go to Patan hospital. Excellent and organized service even with a 100 ER cases.

With the glorious history of its origin till its best patient oriented care, they are in joint assistance from Goverment of Nepal and Goverment of Japan. Almost top class of medical fraternity in the country are shaped here. With fantastic academics and henceforth the manpower, they have been one of the cornerstone of country's development.

This Teibhuvan University is Nepal's biggest university. This place has natural environment for better and dedicated study. This university has different faculties and professional teachers to guide and counseling students. This University is just about 5 minutes local bus travel from Balkhu ring road. This is real best place for both study and sports.

This hospital is good for many people around de world. Cost is also medium for treatment. This is the teaching hospital. So sometimes, we must be careful consulting only on this hospital, for ur confirmation u can also visit government hospital like Bir hospital and many others. After confirmation, u can do ur treatment in this teaching.

one of the best hospitals in south asia in terms of the human resources as only best qualified doctors and nurses practise here. However, the management could be better as patients need to wait tremendously long for service

It is a government hospital, so you can find way long queue for check up which is very annoying. There is also an emergency ward where you don't have to wait in line for severe health problem. Hope this helps...

1st of all: You get a wide range of treatment. Sometimes it takes longer and sometimes you'll have to wait a long time. And in extreme cases you'll get denied because there are no spaces left (for example at the emergency section). Most departments have a satisfying treatment, however I dislike the lack of privacy of the treated patient. Sanitary hygiene is also barely acceptable (you'll alway see personal cleaning and doing their job, however consider the very low cost of this goverment hospital and have your expectations accordingly). The pregnancy and birth delivery department was satisfying. Organized, not too public and very friendly staff and doctors. The children doctor and nurses are also genuinely helpfull and friendly and the building colorfull and bright, inside out. Thank you for your service trying to help and treat the people, I hope for a future where the goverment will take better care of its hospitals and important stuff.

The hospital's commitment to medical education is evident, with dedicated faculty members offering valuable insights to aspiring healthcare professionals. The facility itself is well-maintained, reflecting a focus on hygiene and patient comfort. The medical staff exhibits a high level of professionalism and compassion, ensuring that patients receive quality care.
