Waterfall and the temple are both worth the time. Waterfall is below the trail and the temple a bit of a hike above the trail. The river is really clean and pure.

Bishnudwar is basically the origin of the Bishnumati river which is one of the most important rivers in Kathmandu. Bishnumati has its religious importance as well. The name gives is literal meaning as the “beloved of Lord Bishnu”. This river is considered holy for both Hindu and Buddhists. Bishnudwar is located at the Shivapuri hill from where Bishnumati originates. It is an easy short and sweet hike located inside the Shivapuri Nagarjun National park. It takes around 2 hours to get there and 1 hour to get back to the entrance gate of the national park. So, You will have to pay Rs. 100 per person for Nepali, Rs. 600 for the SAARC country and Rs. 1000 for Foreign land. You will have to pay the price accordingly which is understandable. As it's an easy short and sweet hike, anyone could give an attempt to this one without any hesitation. The trails are good enough. You might get confused with the right route because there are routes leading towards nowhere before you reach Bishnudwar.

Been there for couple of times both during fall and spring season. Better to visit during spring or monsoon season to enjoy the waterfall. During fall, it's much less water there. However, this place is worth visiting!!

It was fun. The trail is short, very good for starting hiking. Be aware about monkeys near waterfall. Don't take any lighter or matchstick. Don't take any speakers as they're not allowed.

Beautiful place for a short hike Kathmandu. A 1.2-2 hr walk uphill will take you to the location with temple and waterfalls. There are a lot of other beautiful waterfalls as you make your way along the peaceful forest. Great place to experience nature. It took us nearly 3 hrs to reach, as we spent a good amount of time taking pictures along the way. Only took us 1 hr to get back though.

One of the shortest, easiest hikes around Kathmandu. Probably, this hike would be great for anyone looking for a 3-4 hrs hike. The waterfall and rock garden is very beautiful. Things to remember: - Don't carry Speakers - Lighters, Cigarettes and Alcohol - Plastic based materials - Meat and non veg items During the entry point army checks all your belongings so be advised.

This small stream waterfall near Kathmandu is a hidden gem. The jungle walk to get there is lined with lush greenery, providing a serene and refreshing atmosphere. The waterfall itself is beautiful, with crystal-clear water cascading down a rocky slope. It's the perfect spot to escape the city and immerse yourself in nature.

This place can be the ideal destination for a short hike near Kathmandu. But not so good when you visit on Saturday. We went there to find some peace and enjoy nature but too much of the crowd. Please don't visit during public holidays and Saturday. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and enjoyed with friends.

A perfect place for a short hike with neumerous small riverlets amd springs one can truly get the peace they want. Chripping birds along with the thundering sound of spring add extra seasoning in the hike. One can reach there from panimuhan or dadagaun via Budanilkantha.

A must visit place in the outskirts of kathmandu. Its a short hike from dadagaun (30 min) and we can see two majestic warerfalls (one is below the trail, one is above)

Amazing place; One of the best hiking route in the northern hills of Kathmandu valley. At the altitude of around 2000m this place is a dense moist forest region which lies inside Shivapuri National Park and Conservation Area. There is a stream also which flows through the year and during monsoon, you can really feel its presence and elegance. There are many routes you can take but the most easy and short one is from Dandagaun,Budanilkantha. If you are in Kathmandu, you can plan a day trip to here. Lots of areas to see.Plants,Birds,Insects,Mushrooms,Waterfall,Big trees,Adventures walk in the middle of the stream through those big stones. If you love forest and river, its a damn place for you:)

A truly hidden gem. The final decline to the waterfall is almost 70 degree slope. One has to be extremely careful. Once you reach there, you witness a waterfall completely nestled amidst the beautiful tall trees. A must visit place. The shortest way to reach there is via green valley resort. Ride till the resort, hike for 15-20 mins and bang on, you are presented with a beautiful waterfall.

The waterfall is incredible and refreshing. It was so relaxing to be there after two hours hike. This waterfall has become quiet viral in tiktok and many people visit here nowdays. It was sad to see waste and plastics littered around there. I guess lot of ungrateful visitors who cannot enjoy and respect nature. Don't forget, People need nature, Nature doesn't need people.
