We did ABC Trek with them and it was a great experience!! Our guide Dharma was very helpful during the whole trek! I have had a very nice time in the Annapurna. We will trust with third rock adventures and Naba, for the next time!

We had an amazing experience trekking in the Upper Mustang Valley. Third Rock organized a memorable journey for us. From our arrival through our departure, Naba was a very generous host. Shiva, our guide throughout, was very knowledgeable, kind, supportive and flexible and did all he could at all times to ensure that we had the best time. Gopal, without whom our trip would have been impossible, was always gracious and helpful. We traversed stunning landscapes, learned a lot about the amazing people of the upper Mustang region, marveled at the rich history of the region with its beautiful monasteries, cave dwellings, and castles. Throughout, the accommodations throughout surpassed our expectations. We highly recommend Third Rock Adventures to all who wish to visit this remote but awesome part of the world.

Third Rock Adventures organized our first trip to Nepal for us (trekking to Gokyo and Cho La Pass) and it was certainly not our last visit to this beautiful country. We would highly recommend Third Rock, everything was just perfectly planned. Naba and his team (especially our lovely guide Bhumi) work so professionally, but at the same time are so warm and friendly and always do everything for their clients, that we felt like at home from the first second. Even last minute adjustments to the itinerary and accommodations were no problem. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to have this extraordinary experience!

I can only recommend everyone to travel with Third Rock Adventures. The whole trip was very well organized. From planning to execution, everything was perfect. From the first contact I had a good feeling and this was only confirmed when I arrived in Nepal. All employees of the company were very friendly and helpful. Meeting Naba was like meeting an old friend. I had a great time in Nepal, thanks to Third Rock.

Naba from Third Rock Adventures organised an unforgettable two-day tour of Bhutan for us, taking in the main sights of Thimphu and Paro. Bhutan is a beautiful, mystical, unique country and well worth visiting at least once in life. The Tiger’s Nest monastery in particular should be on the bucket list of anyone who loves to travel (and enjoys a moderate hike!). It is probably the most impressive landmark I have seen on my travels. Of all the tours we looked at before booking, Naba’s offered the best value for money, while Naba himself is very reliable and communicative, responding quickly to any queries we had before our trip. The local guide in Bhutan, Yeshi Wangdi, and driver, Yeshi Wangchuk, were excellent and, again, very reliable. Once we’d returned to Kathmandu from Bhutan, we visited the Third Rock Adventures office to meet up with Naba, whose hospitality and generosity we will always remember. All in all, I would highly recommend both Bhutan and Third Rock Adventures.

How lucky we were to find Third Rock! Naba arranged for us an itinerary that fit our experience level and budget, and connected us with our fantastic guide, Dharma. Our 8 days on the Khopra Ridge trek took us through the forest, villages and mountain tops, having us experience everything from rain to hail to snow. Looking back at our pictures, we are still in disbelief that we came face-to-face with such magnificent Himalayan peaks.

My husband and I have just completed the Annapurna circuit and base camp combined trek organised by Third Rock Adventures. Naba did an excellent job of planning our trip to our schedule and made us most welcome whilst we were in Nepal. Our guide Shiva was fantastic and always cheerful; with nothing being too much trouble and we felt we were in safe hands. We both enjoyed our time on the trek with him and would definitely recommend Third Rock Adventures to organise your own adventure. We'll certainly be back for another trek with Naba and his team.

We thank Third Rock for giving us two glorious weeks in Nepal. Naba and his team arranged everything from our time in Kathmandu to our week long Everest Panorama Trek to our three days in Chitwan National Park. The highlight was the trekking and our guide, Krishna, went above and beyond to make sure we were safe, happy, well fed, informed, and full of joy. It was a wonderful week and we recommend Third Rock for your adventure in Nepal. No detail is too small for this very generous, well run company and their amazing staff. Thank you Naba, Krishna, Subash, Shiva and all who made our time in Nepal so memorable.

My first visit to Nepal was a bliss and I couldn't do it without the help of Third Rock Adventurers. Brother Naba very accommodating on my requests & question. I landed and picked up went to my hotel and that before paying any penny! We even adjust my itinerary the next day, it was swift, pleasant & simple! The important part is since I travel alone, I felt safe at all times. His team of guides were so helpful & very well knowledge. Unlike most people going to Nepal for hiking to trekking, I came to explore and deepening my sound therapy learning. And one of his guide Jay directed me to the best place to learn Sound, I was impressed by the teacher. Another memorable moment, Brother Naba helped my husband to arrange flower delivery during Valentine's day, such a sweet gesture of my husband and was deliver in a sweet surprise ♥️ I have already think to return to Nepal soon within 3 nights 😂, seriously I feel like havinv family in Nepal already! Thank you to my friend Stephanie for recommending Third Rock Adventures. Highly Recommended!!!

I had the opportunity to go on a motorcycle tour with friends to Nepal and I jumped at the chance. The tour was hosted by Third Rock Adventures operating out of Kathmandu. Highlights of the tour included sites around Kathmandu such as the temple of Swayambhunath and the Thamel district, the Gorkha Temple in Gorkha, Phewa Lake in Pokhara, the birthplace of Lord Buddha in Lumbini and a great trip into the Chitwan National Park in the South of Nepal where we were treated to views of wild rhinos, crocodiles and other animals via longboat and Jeep. Ever present in the Northern portions of this trip were the Himalayas. Views of the Rooftop of the World are stunning and hard to describe. The transportation was fulfilled by a fleet of the venerable Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycles. We quickly learned concepts such as "Nepali Flat, a little up, a little down" which means up and down mountain switchbacks and "Nepali good roads" which indicates that there is or was that may or may not have been paved at some point in time. The Royal Enfield Himalayan motorcycle or Scram might have been a better choice for this trip. If you undertake a motorcycle trip in Nepal, please have some off road miles under your belt (sand, rock fields, washouts) and be comfortable with tight, winding roads and off-camber turns. Two way traffic with large oncoming vehicles on these roads is common. The people of Nepal are amazing and eager to show you the beauty of their country. They are a resilient people who live meagerly by Western standards and are ready for anything and do so with a smile. As for Third Rock Adventures, they crafted a challenging trip and were very accommodating. They selected some great hotels and the food was routinely excellent. We kept the "roughing it" portion to the roads and were pampered during the off-riding hours. Our guide was Dhananjaya Bhatta who holds a wealth of knowledge about his country and took great care to ensure our needs were met during and even after our scheduled trip time. Owner/operator Naba Amgai treated us well and truly the whole crew are now considered 'pariwār', or family.

Me and 5 friends joined Third Rock Adventures on a 950km motorcycle tour around the entire country of Nepal. Starting in Kathmandu, we took on challenging test rides on Day 1 (Nagarkot, Changu Narayan, and Bhaktapur), then moved to Gorkha on Day 2 which proved to be a very technical and rewarding riding experience up and down mountainsides. Next was Pokhara, a short ride from Gorkha and a rather scenic one. Upon reaching Pokhara, we spent a full day sightseeing and enjoying many of the shops and restaurants there. Lumbini was next, which was a culturally enriching experience at the Mayadevi temple at Lumbini Garden, birthplace of the Lord Buddha. Finally, we ended our trip with a 2-day experience in the jungles of Chitwan National Park, where we saw tons of Rhinos, crocodiles, and exotic birds. When we got back to Kathmandu, we all earned a rest at the excellent accommodations at Hotel Shanker and did a ton of souvenir shopping for our families. That itinerary was packed full of experiences but the best part of the trip were our guides. Dhananjaya and Nabin at Third Rock Adventures joined with a mechanic and jeep driver and those 4 helped us every step of the way. Jaya's knowledge of the area proved useful as he pointed out multiple landmarks and made sure we understood what was expected of us on each day's journey. All 4 guides were patient, friendly, and ultimately helped us have fun on our trip! I cannot recommend Naba and his Third Rock Adventure team enough for any experience in the Nepal/Bhutan/Tibet areas. They truly know how to show a tourist a good time and make sure that we feel super comfortable the entire way. Third Rock even helped organize extras for our group - an extra trek up a mountain for one of us, 4 of us had an Everest peak flight trip booked within a day, another needed a break from riding and cruised in the jeep for a while - etc. They are VERY eager to accommodate you and make sure you're pleased! Any time we needed advice on where to shop, or needed transportation around any of the beautiful cities we were in, Third Rock was happy to help any time of day or night. One word to the wise on a motorcycle trip through Nepal - make sure you know how to handle a little off-roading and can deal with some slopes! The country is truly mountainous and it will challenge any seasoned rider from the states unless you do motocross on the weekends. A few of us were quite humbled when pushing up some of the mountain roads just to see a few Nepali riders cruising up on a scooter with a smile on their face. These people are incredible!

We did the Annapurna Circuit and the Upper Mustang by gravel bike, which were both amazing and very different experiences. Annapurna is biking or hiking through stunning views of everything the Himalayas have to offer. Upper Mustang is like traveling back through time with the most pristine and charming villages and breathtaking landscapes before ending up in the walled city of Lo Manthang. Naba and the people at Third Rock were so helpful and went beyond their job to first help us where they could with our lost luggage and then understanding what we were looking for on our trip. They catered to our specific needs and made it a very smooth experience. Communication was consistently very good throughout the whole stay in Nepal before, during and after our bike trek. It made us feel supported whenever we needed it, so we could simply enjoy all the beauty that was continuously on display. Our guide, Karma Sherpa, was everything and more than what we were looking for. A friendly, knowledgeable and helpful guide. Always there with insightful advice when you needed him and discreet when you wanted some alone-time. He exceeded expectations in taking care of us and made sure our trip was everything it could be. To sum up: very much recommended for all those who are looking to find their own unforgettable adventure in Nepal.

EBC trekking - Great Experience My husband and I just finished EBC trekking with Third Rock Adventures, our first trekking trip in Nepal. Naba and all the staff are very helpful before and during this extraordinary journey. Well prepared packages and good communication made this company stand out. We had wonderful time during our entire trip. Special thanks to our guide Surya, his kindness, caring, professionalism, and extensive knowledge of the region and mountains make our trip a huge success. And we cannot finish this trekking without porter's (Jagat Tamang) help. The trip has exceeded our expectations and I would highly recommend choosing Third Rock Adventures for any trip around Nepal.

Unforgettable trekking in Annapurna with Jaya my guide and Third Rock Adventures. I felt safe and listened to on my solo trek and was able to experience breathtaking views and charming villages and meet other trekkers in the hostels along the route. I recommend this company and guide and want to thank them for an incredible journey. Dhan’yavada!!

Having had a one day trek, I was so impressed with Naba and the services of Third Rock, I asked them to arrange a tour for my last day. This was simply sensational. A 6 hour tour on the back of a Royal Enfield Himalayan. Goofy was my highly experienced driver and a superb tour guide. We went very safely through Kathmandu in the rush hour traffic and went to the cable car station. The views from the lookout were spectacular. Goody’s knowledge and experience was first rate, he had climbed Everest in 2022! We then took the bike on a mountain road outside the Kathmandu Valley, visited rural villages and a hydro dam. One of the most exciting days I have ever had!

We had an outstanding vacation with Third Rock Adventures. We had a 14-day trek on the Mansalu trail first followed by a 6-day tour of Bhutan. Naba did a fantastic job arranging the accommodations, logistics and multiple transfers from the airports and such. Our Nepal Guide, Lakpa Sherpa, was extremely helpful with a vast experience base. Perhaps most notable were the little things, like seeking out the best accommodations and healthy food. He ensured a memorable and comfortable trip; and who could forget the espresso he prepared every morning on the trek. Bhutan was just as amazing! Our guide Sonam, could not have been better. We are so thankful he shared his vast knowledge about Bhutan’s rich history with numerous anecdotes, stories and background. We particularly appreciated his flexibility and willingness to accommodate our specific requests and ideas. We would absolutely use Third Rock Adventures again for a trip to this area, and have the highest regards for Naba and his team. The guides, porters and drivers were excellent and well coordinated. I have absolutely no concerns regarding their integrity, value and commitment to ensure customer satisfaction. Thank you Third Rock Adventures!!!

We booked a week in Nepal at the end of our travelling trip, not really sure if we had time to do a trek but we really wanted too. After reading through the many treks on Third Rock, I reached out and Naba quickly responded to help with planning a route that was within our time frame, but also within our budget since Nepal was our last stop. Third Rock answered all our questions so promptly, and made an itinerary very fast, which was very useful to visualise. We were super happy with the trek outline which was the Annapurna Short Sunrise Trek as well as the very competitive cost. After this, they then proceeded to help with the days before and after the trek, planning a perfect amount where everything was organised e.g, the trek, buses, taxis, hotels, food but also we had scope to do our own thing too which we also enjoyed. Shiva was an excellent guide for our 4 days. He was super friendly and also made sure we enjoyed each day with different activities and adjusting the trek if we wanted to. He knew lots about the culture, food, locals and much more. We were super grateful for him making sure we had a good time and having the laughs along the way. We were very much able to indulge in the culture (try local food, meet the locals, BBQ at our tea house, attend a wedding ceremony) because of him! From the Airport pick-up right until the very last meal we had with the team (that was not included but so generously paid for by Third Rock alongside numerous other gifts such as t-shirt, bottle, hats, welcome necklace e.c.t), we had a great time. To sum up, the people at Third Rock are truly amazing and they help you because they love what they do as well as having the experience. Third Rock were very attentive and checked in regularly. I will be recommending Third Rock to anyone wanting to visit Nepal, but also using them when I come for a future trek.

Really recommend this company for any trekking trip. We had a very short time in Nepal and wanted to squeeze in a trek. Third rock sorted an amazing time for us, that perfectly fit what we wanted to do. They were very helpful with everything and we can’t wait to go back. We saw beautiful views and spent time with really kind, friendly and fantastic people. Shiva, our guide, was so generous and helpful in taking us around and telling us all about the areas and people that lived there. Already thinking of our next trip which will be planned with third rock again.

I came to Nepal for a volunteer program and I had 2 days on the front end and 7 days on the back end to get some activities together last minute. Naba with Third Rock Adventures helped me get an itinerary together quickly and easily. First I spent 2 days on a motorbike with my guide, Goofy, who by request packed in as much as he could on two day trips from Kathmandu. Looking forward to returning to do a much longer tour with him! Then at the end of my trip, Naba created a shortened trekking schedule to an altitude summit of 4700 meters in Langtang national park based on my experience and fitness. It worked out perfectly, the experience was beautifully breathtaking and challenging just the way I like it. I also had the best guide and porter, Dharma and Ram! Will book with them again for my next Himalayan peak adventure!

If you are looking for an unforgettable Kathmandu trekking experience away from the crowds then look no further than 3rd Rock’s 15 day Kanchenjunga N BC trek. This was my first trekking experience, and I’m so glad we chose this one. We walked through stunning Himalayan forest beside a raging whitewater river and frequent waterfalls before the forest gave way to low scrub and snow-capped mountain views above 4000m. The trail is physically challenging but absolutely worth the effort with comfortable teahouse stays along the way, excellent food, and a regular appearance of time-warp villages and tiny teahouses to rest the legs and enjoy a tea when needed. North Basecamp at just under 5,200m gives stunning views of Kanchenjunga peaks, Jannu peak, and other snow-capped peaks in every direction. This area is remote, a bit tricky to get to, but once you start walking it’s all worth it. I cannot praise 3rd Rock Adventures highly enough in organising and coordinating all logistics so seamlessly, and huge kudos to our guide Pasang in particular. His cheery nature, enthusiasm, and deep knowledge of the region made this an unforgettable experience of lifelong memories and images. Thank you 3rd Rock. Thank you Pasang. Thank you Milan our awesome porter. Thank you Naba for your behind the scenes coordination. And for anyone who is reading this and considering taking the plunge, I urge you to do it!!

I summitted Mera Peak on October 21st 2023 at 5.30 am. It was the most incredible experience and achievement of my life. Naba organised my entire trip with perfection. With Lakpa Sherpa by my side, the journey was way more easier despite of the challenging weather conditions. Naba took care of my medicines during emergencies and lakpa took care of my meals & made sure I was hydrated at every hour. Naba & Lakpa are my true super heroes as without them, this win wouldnt have been possible. Thankyou Third Rock Adventures! You guys Rock!❤️

MERA PEAK CLIMBING with Third Rock Adventures I booked a 15 day climbing tour to MERA PEAK! everything went perfectly fine, I felt save at every given moment. Third Rock Adventures works with professional guides and climbing guides that would bring us safe up and down the mountain. the guide climbed mera 144 times already, he was aware of every crevasse on the mountain, we had amazing high camp accomodation and food, safe rental climbing gear, and they can organize SKIING from Mera peak. Thank you for gifting me with the best day of my life!!! Gadul, our guide has a close connection to the teahouse owners, therefore ot always felt a bit like coming home in every village. The teahouses they chose have amazing food. Changes during the trip (we were 1 day ahead of schedule) were no problem. we learnt about nepali culture, got extra information to the valley surrounding us and even during rest days, we would have great options to fill the days (extra hikes, card games, amazing talks). I deffo recommend booking with Third Rock Adventures and I will book my next climb with them again. Ask for Gadul and Jagat ! :)

This 8 day trek to ABC base camp Far surpassed all expectations! It was a perfect combination of trekking, culture and nature. Our guide Krishna made the trip the amazing experience it was for me and my sister. You could not ask for a more knowledgeable, kind, fun and careful guide to hike to ABC base camp with. Krishna is an excellent guide with great knowledge of the terrain, the mountains, Nepalese culture and religion and also the animals and food of the regions- not to mention that he seemed to know the locals in every village we passed through. The thing that makes Krishna such an amazing guide is that he is also a very compassionate and caring person. He puts his clients first and goes above and beyond each day to make sure they are enjoying their trip. Krishna helped us across rivers in the rain and hail, he recommended food to us at each rest stop based on the quality of the local produce and what to eat to help avoid altitude sickness. It was Krishna that the other guides called on with questions and medical help. When a guest got altitude sickness; they asked for Krishna and he checked oxygen levels and offered medicine. We could ask Krishna which clothing layers to wear based on the day, and he always gave us good advice. Krishna took pictures for and with us, knew just when to stop to talk about a sight when we need to breathe for a moment- and he even got down and washed off my boot in the stream after I stepped in a giant mud puddle getting out of a porter’s way. Krishna explained each village’s culture and crops to us. He talked about the various religions in Nepal. At the end of this adventure - I realize I have learned so much trekking with Krishna. Getting to ABC was an exciting feat for sure- but all the stories and education about the local culture and people along the way is what made it extra special for me.

I want to share my appreciation for Naba from Third Rock Adventure. He has gone above and beyond what a normal travel company would. They’re simply the best I’ve come across in all my years of travels around the world. My plans were constantly changing due to unforeseen circumstances, yet Naba was extremely accommodating and created an epic itinerary for my husband and I. He even managed to pull some amazing last minute strings that would be close to impossible! He arranged an epic Everest scenic flight for me and organized a few days of sightseeing in Pokhara. Naba also created an amazing 20 day trekking itinerary for my husband that would be any landscape photographer’s dream! He’s incredibly sincere with everything and you’ll be in the best hands if you plan your next trip to Nepal with him. 100x 👍🏻 service. Thank you Naba brother for everything. I am already looking forward to my next trip back and explore more of your beautiful country.

I had the most amazing time on my trip with Third Rock! I did the 15 day Gokyo + EBC trek and just absolutely had the time of my life. My guide Deepak was wonderful and shared so much about Nepali culture with us. He did a fantastic job of showing us “off the beaten path” things on a typically very touristy route. Even when we were unfortunately delayed due to the Lukla airport closing (too much fog), Deepak and Naba, one of the owners, helped us organize a helicopter back to Kathmandu. If I’m ever back in the area, I will absolutely be using Third Rock to plan my trip.

We have spent a wonderful 6-day-trekking in Nepal thanks to third rock adventure! We did the Mardi Himal Trek until the basecamp in the Annapurna region and it was an amazing experience! Everything was perfectly organized, Naba Raj Amgai, the agency founder and managing director, organized a pre-trek meeting and provided us with jackets and sleeping bags. Our guide, Bakhat Tamang, is very experienced with more than 20 years working as a guide in the mountains, and he managed to make our trek a wonderful experience we will never forget! During the trek, Bakhat was very thoughtful with us making sure we were alright, never compromising on our safety, walking slowly to accomodate with our pace and altitude, and offering tea breaks when necessary! Very profesionnal and super nice guide, speaking excellent English who has guided innumerable trekking groups! I highly recommend third rock adventure for any trekking in Nepal, and if we ever come back to Nepal for a trekking, we will make sure to trek with Bakhat again!!

For those who do not have much time I would reckon to take a short trek with them. They also do other programs as well. The owner is very kind too he can arrange a travel program to suit our style. If you go to Kathmandu you should contact third rock!!!!🙏🏻🇳🇵🗻

I have done trekking in Nepal 3 times and Naba have been the one arranging the trip for us. Third Rock Adventure and Naba have always accommodate all our needs and we have never regret choosing them. In Sept 2022, six of us did Everest Basecamp n Island Peak. Our guides Gadul and Prakash, together with porters, helped us in every ways to complete our trek. Their advice and support throughout the entire journey was commendable. All the accommodations booked for us were neat and comfortable. The tents at Island Peak Basecamp were new and very comfortable too. Naba have also instructed his guides to take good care of our foods. During the hike we encounter lots of problems in terms of altitude sickness, flight issues due to the bad weather and etc but Naba and Gadul helped us in every ways to make our trip enjoyable n a memorable one. I would recommend Third Rock Adventure to everyone who wants to have a safe and relax trip. I’m definitely going to contact Naba in 2024 for my next hike in Nepal.

Was planning to do Annapurna Circuit but changed my mind at the last moment and went with a guide from Third Rock and did not regret my decision. Insights into local culture, knowledge about the mountains, picking the best tea-houses, routes, etc., were all made much much better especially when the guide is as good as Shiva Bhatta. So many things to be thankful for. Great experience!

We did the 10-days trek of the ABC at the end of April. I appreciate the high professionalism of the team. Thank you, Bimal, for the personal care! I highly recommend the Agency.

From visits to the heritage sites and monasteries to the exploration of local markets, and village walks, we really culturally immersive experience. We got to interact with the local people who were all very jolly and kind. We never had a similar travel experience - tasting street food and living with a Bhutanese family in their old traditional farm. I especially want to thank our extraordinary guides- Sonam and Deepa, as they went out of their way to give us an authentic experience. Thank you Naba and everybody at Third Rock Adventures for making our vacation a once in a lifetime experience. Trust us we will be back for more!

Im grateful knowing Third Rock Adventures and meeting Mr. Naba & his Team for my wonderful Nepal 🇳🇵and India 🇮🇳 tour. We visited the most important destination. The itenerary Mr. Naba provided is well organized. The guide and driver in India are well recommended. They put extra efforts to visit extra places out from my tour which is really nice. The Guide and driver in nepal as well. Not to mention how warm they welcome me from airport and till then on my last day. It was a memorable experience and a lifetime memories to be treasured. I highly recommend their service and they are very accommodating. See you on my next travel. 👍 ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
