Me
and
5
friends
joined
Third
Rock
Adventures
on
a
950km
motorcycle
tour
around
the
entire
country
of
Nepal.
Starting
in
Kathmandu,
we
took
on
challenging
test
rides
on
Day
1
(Nagarkot,
Changu
Narayan,
and
Bhaktapur),
then
moved
to
Gorkha
on
Day
2
which
proved
to
be
a
very
technical
and
rewarding
riding
experience
up
and
down
mountainsides.
Next
was
Pokhara,
a
short
ride
from
Gorkha
and
a
rather
scenic
one.
Upon
reaching
Pokhara,
we
spent
a
full
day
sightseeing
and
enjoying
many
of
the
shops
and
restaurants
there.
Lumbini
was
next,
which
was
a
culturally
enriching
experience
at
the
Mayadevi
temple
at
Lumbini
Garden,
birthplace
of
the
Lord
Buddha.
Finally,
we
ended
our
trip
with
a
2-day
experience
in
the
jungles
of
Chitwan
National
Park,
where
we
saw
tons
of
Rhinos,
crocodiles,
and
exotic
birds.
When
we
got
back
to
Kathmandu,
we
all
earned
a
rest
at
the
excellent
accommodations
at
Hotel
Shanker
and
did
a
ton
of
souvenir
shopping
for
our
families.
That
itinerary
was
packed
full
of
experiences
but
the
best
part
of
the
trip
were
our
guides.
Dhananjaya
and
Nabin
at
Third
Rock
Adventures
joined
with
a
mechanic
and
jeep
driver
and
those
4
helped
us
every
step
of
the
way.
Jaya's
knowledge
of
the
area
proved
useful
as
he
pointed
out
multiple
landmarks
and
made
sure
we
understood
what
was
expected
of
us
on
each
day's
journey.
All
4
guides
were
patient,
friendly,
and
ultimately
helped
us
have
fun
on
our
trip!
I
cannot
recommend
Naba
and
his
Third
Rock
Adventure
team
enough
for
any
experience
in
the
Nepal/Bhutan/Tibet
areas.
They
truly
know
how
to
show
a
tourist
a
good
time
and
make
sure
that
we
feel
super
comfortable
the
entire
way.
Third
Rock
even
helped
organize
extras
for
our
group
-
an
extra
trek
up
a
mountain
for
one
of
us,
4
of
us
had
an
Everest
peak
flight
trip
booked
within
a
day,
another
needed
a
break
from
riding
and
cruised
in
the
jeep
for
a
while
-
etc.
They
are
VERY
eager
to
accommodate
you
and
make
sure
you're
pleased!
Any
time
we
needed
advice
on
where
to
shop,
or
needed
transportation
around
any
of
the
beautiful
cities
we
were
in,
Third
Rock
was
happy
to
help
any
time
of
day
or
night.
One
word
to
the
wise
on
a
motorcycle
trip
through
Nepal
-
make
sure
you
know
how
to
handle
a
little
off-roading
and
can
deal
with
some
slopes!
The
country
is
truly
mountainous
and
it
will
challenge
any
seasoned
rider
from
the
states
unless
you
do
motocross
on
the
weekends.
A
few
of
us
were
quite
humbled
when
pushing
up
some
of
the
mountain
roads
just
to
see
a
few
Nepali
riders
cruising
up
on
a
scooter
with
a
smile
on
their
face.
These
people
are
incredible!
