Great place for ride and walks with colleagues. Went there with friends for a small hike. I enjoyed the nature, and a small picnic at the top watching the view of Kathmandu city and Shivapuri Jungle. You can easily get enough restaurants and home stays and shops, so don't have to worry about carrying too much food.

The hiking trail from Jagdol (Krishna mandir) to Tarevir is the best...the path is very wide open, the Alpine forest smells nice, and there are doves literally everywhere along the trail. During the weekend, there is a high chance of seeing mountain bikers along the way.

Wonderful place ; hiking lovers can visit here for hiking and nature lovers as well. You can travel here with your vehicle. But remember you will find some challenges even while driving as some parts of the road is too muddy and slippery too. Enjoy the nature. ✌️

Perfect place for short hike. 15 minutes of stiff climb, rest is easy walk through pine tree jungle. Sounds of bird chirping along the trails make the hike in tune with nature. There are few stores and restuarent on the way so don’t worry about bringing foods and water.

Tarebhir is a place in Shivpuri reserve area north of kathmandu. It is a mountain top with steep rocky slopes. The site, though within Kathmandu used to be a remote place till a few years back. It has become accessible by vehicles these days. Cool in summer, sunshine and snowfalls in winter, the place is becoming popular for a day's trek or hiking. There are resorts and homestays in the area. A day's itenary for hiking may be a good option. Kathmandu valley's view from the area is another attraction.

One of the popular destinations for a day trip/night stay for Kathmanduites, Tarebhir offers a great view on clear sunny days away from Ktm City’s hustle and bustle. Although getting to the top of the hill is easily accessible via private transport, one should definitely choose to wear good walking shoes while visiting Tarebhir! These are some of the photos as we near the “tourist spots” of Tarebhir- lively cafes where one can enjoy great food and some of which offer camping as well.

A very very short hiking option. The view from the top is magnificent. We choose to take a bike till the half way then, decided to take a walk from there as the way forward, road was slippery. A perfect option for short, quick Saturday hangout!

A beautiful location for weekend getaway with friends and family. This is a destination where you can reach within 1.5 hours from Kathmandu. The road is pitched to a point and the last five minute when reaching the Destination, you have to take off road. The road is muddy and slippery. You can leave your vehicle and hike 20 minutes.

Tarebhir is located at northern part of kathmandu valley and is in Shivapuri Nagarjuna national park area. From here, the amazing view of Kathmandu valley can be seen. It is a must visit area for hiking or cycling purpose.

Another quick hiking trail in the Kathmandu Valley, Tarebhir offers breathtaking valley and mountain views. The best half-day hike into the wilderness is this one if you want the best hiking experience. To get to the top of the Tarebhir, one must first go through a pine forest before continuing through a tropical jungle.
