little bit bad experience the employees of indain embassy are rude very rude they shout on everyone if visitor who the have any embassy docoments required and they didn't doing there job on time if you have any docoments requirements you didn't get on time Security guards are very helpful and responsible, but the employees within the embassy are the same as those in any other government office. To visit, you must schedule an appointment online. In addition, there is a very high fee for signing/stamping documents. Furthermore, the office is closed on two days of the week. The average person would find this difficult.

Dear Indian Embassy I am not sure if this message will be read or any action will be taken but if anyone in authority reads this message, I would really like to request the officials to take some actions When you enter Indian embassy, you never feel welcomed and it feels like they are there to literally torture you. Most of them are rude while talking and there are no proper rules and regulations when you enter inside. People are standing in cue without any idea, there is no single person or a help desk to sort your queries. When you ask them questions, they tell you to come in line and after you reach your turn, you find out that just because of some small issues or documents missing, the whole time is wasted Secondly, the people there do not realize, that we as Indian citizens living in Nepal are also working, some of us have jobs, some of us have businesses and its really tiresome to go there again and again. When I visited to get the certification letter, they called us at 4, when we reached there, all the people were waiting for the documents and the person came there at 4:50 and even after that he was talking to everyone rudely and like we say in Hindi (AISA LAGTA HAI KI WO HUMPE EHSAAN KAR RAHE HAI). Please understand we. are just there to get services from government of India to help us live in Nepal and do our work properly and the employees there are paid for those services A lot of services can go online for renew and basic necessity work which will make it hassle free All the counters in consular wing are never full utilized and people have to wait in queue for hours. Compared to all other embassy in Nepal where their own country citizens are treated with love and given the best and quick service possible, we are lagging behind and even the people of Nepal who have work in our embassy use false language after they come out of the embassy as they are really frustrated A BIG REQUEST TO THE AUTHORITIES TO TAKE SOME ACTION AND DO NOT LET ANYONE TO SPOIL THE IMAGE OF INDIA AS A COUNTRY

Updated: please read at the bottom APPLY FOR INDIAN VISA IN KATHMANDU: If you are looking to get an Indian Visa, the visa Center is 50m down the road from the Indian Embassy towards the British Embassy. It is locked behind a fence and is only open 9:30 to 12noon. Don’t expect the embassy staff to help any more than point you down there. For a visa application you need a print out of the online form from Indianvisaonline.gov.in (e-visa if you fly or normal tourist visa if you cross via a land border), Nepal visa copy, passport copy, 2”x2” colour passport photo and other supporting documents if you have a vehicle ect. There are other shops on the street that will help with printing and your application for a small fee. Update: I waited 4 weeks and 4 days for the Indian paper visa. I called every day from 3 weeks after I submitted my application. I applied for 6 month multi entry and was given 4 month single entry for 14250NPR.

as usual, wasting our time, and refusing to do their job. All these agents and employees and no one can actually meet with you to resolve a simple issue or answer a question. I was sent to the india visa service center who also refused to do their job. “oh, that is the job of Delhi”. so why exactly are you even here in Nepal if everything is the “job of Delhi immigration “?

Had struggled for attestation of educational documents from Nepal. No information was available from any quarter. I am grateful to Mr H.R. Sharma First Secretary (Cons),Embassy of India,Kathmandu. He helped us with true information and showed us the path. I have never seen a government official like him. Almost every query over the mail was responded promptly with all the details. I am very thankful to hi My gratitude to him

The service is not up to par. Employees are not well mannered (rude, domineering). Lack basic communication skills. Even the GUARDS and help desk employees are quite rude and shout at visitors. Timewise also not punctual. Overall very disappointed.

Very bad experience. The staff is very rude and not guide us properly. I want to make travel document from KTM to delhi flight and the office person said if you can come by road then you can also go by road road. I am bit disappoint with this behaviour then he again he said girls ka acha hai ro (cry) k sare kam krwaa lo rona hi ataa hai and hum b aage se ase hi karege. I visited the KTM for the first tym and then this behaviour is not at all acceptable. -0 rating to this place ever. Treated like a creminal. Missplace the documents or forget is an encident which is happened with anyone. Thats why they are here to help people but they are feeling like they are at prison head and treat people with 0 respect.

Don’t rely on this Embassy or the IVSC (Indian Visa Service Centre) to process your paper visa application quickly. Over 30 days and still heard nothing. Keeps saying “Under Process.” It’s 2023 and this place is stuck in the dark ages. Truly shocking service.

You shouldn’t keep a phone if your staff doesn’t want to speak and will hang up on you while you are speaking. At least have some manners. And if you can’t teach your staff to be professional, why make them serve anyone?

I had a very good experience with Nepal Indian Embassy. I was not informed by my travel agent that i need a NOC from Indian Embassy to travel other than India from Nepal being an Indian.when i reached immigration in the airport, they denied my travel without NOC.I was left with only 3 hours for my flight time and i rushed to the Indian Embassy without knowing the place.Everyone in the Embassy guided me and was able to get the NOC within 40min which looked like a miracle.Thank you everyone and really appreciate all the help.Even the immigration people where shocked to see me return within 2 hours with the NOC.

Went there for transit visa and tried to apply about seven days before my flight. Women on the counter told me to come back one week later (two days before my flight) and it will be done in one day. Visa not possible because nationality not available in the e-Visa document. Person on counter and on phone incompetent and impolite.

Literally horrific experience with the people in entry gate. I couldn't understand their Hindi and they burst out on me because of that. I was trying to talk in Nepali and English but they were freaking rude. Please either fire them or teach them some moral values. *also never coming to Indian embassy again.

You cannot expect anyone in the embassy to talk to you nicely. They are so rude and arrogant. They gave me an appointment of 9:45 but till 10:30 there was no one at the counter. I had applied for the birth certificate of my kid. It has already been 3+ months but still no certificate in my hand.

The guards are very responsible and helpful as they are para soldiers but the employees inside the embassy are same as any other governmental offices. You need to take online appointment to visit. And the fees/charges for signatures/stamps is very high. Also it is closed 2 days a week. So a comman man will face difficulty here.

I applied for Indian visa. While applying they were like “it takes max 3 weeks, “only 3 weeks” while waiting for visa I already heard from friends like “we applied and still waiting, It have been 2 months”. After 7-8 weeks I just gave up. They dont give land visa and force you to fly which I dont like. People are rude and not working there. Only security is nice and polite.
